“Now, I'm listening.” Emily demanded he start speaking, seeing that Alex was not ready to talk as he had promised as he continued driving.

He glanced at her before returning his gaze to the road. “Now?”

“Yes, of course. Why did you refuse to pick up my calls?” She reminded him, as if he had forgotten.

“You really do want me to start talking while driving?” He asked her.

She rolled her eyes. “And why not?”

“Have you forgotten the last time we almost ran into an accident just because of something like this?” He reminded her.

“It's just a conversation. What happened the last time was because you couldn't get your eyes off me while you drove. You can talk without looking at me, can't you?” She retorted.

"I guess so, but not with you. I must confess, looking at your piercing eyes is like a prerequisite for me to form coherent thoughts in your presence."
