“Ding!”

The sharp sound echoed inside Raymond’s head, jerking him upright.

A translucent blue panel materialized before his eyes, floating in the dim room like a ghostly screen.

> Congratulations, Sir.

You have received 100% shares of BAC Bank.

Ownership documents are securely stored in your system inventory.

For a moment, Raymond just stared—stunned. His heart hammered in disbelief.

He blinked once, twice. Then a shaky laugh escaped his throat.

“Thank you… System,” he whispered. “You’re unbelievable.”

Another sound chimed.

> In appreciation for praising the system, you have received a Body Enhancement Potion.

A small vial appeared out of thin air, glowing faintly blue—pulsing like a heartbeat.

He hesitated only for a second before uncorking it and swallowing everything down.

Nothing happened.

Then agony exploded through his body.

Bones cracked. Muscles twisted and reshaped.

His veins felt like molten fire rushing under his skin. He tried to scream, but no sound came out.

The pain tore through every fiber of his being, until his vision blurred and tears streamed down his cheeks.

Seconds stretched like hours.

Then—suddenly—the fire turned into warmth.

His chest expanded, lungs burning with air that felt different, sharper, cleaner.

The agony faded, replaced by an overwhelming surge of power.

He lifted trembling hands and froze.

His skin was smoother. His reflection in the cracked mirror showed a man reborn—

defined muscles, razor-sharp jawline, eyes burning with focus.

He clenched a fist, and the air itself seemed to stir.

“This… power,” he breathed, “it’s real.”

A faint smile tugged at his lips. “My life has changed forever.”

“Ding!”

> Daily login available. Claim your reward?

“Yes.”

> Congratulations! You have received a Glock 17 with unlimited ammunition.

A sleek black pistol appeared in his system inventory. Raymond exhaled slowly, calm and composed.

Then another notification blinked.

> Mission available: Test emotional control in social interactions.

Reward: Charisma +1

Risk: Loss of persuasion ability for 48 hours.

Raymond smirked. “Challenge accepted.”

---

He showered, changed into a clean black jacket, jeans, and sneakers.

When he faced the mirror again, the man staring back wasn’t the desperate boy from yesterday.

He was sharper. Confident. Dangerous.

“Victor…” he muttered, his eyes darkening. “Your time will come.”

He stepped outside. The crisp London morning greeted him with a chill.

A voice called from behind.

“Morning! You’re up early.”

He turned. A woman from the next apartment—young, elegant, wearing a fitted blazer—approached with a soft smile. Her dark hair fell perfectly over her shoulders.

“Breakfast?” she asked lightly.

Raymond hesitated a second, then smiled. “Sure. Why not?”

They walked to a nearby café. The city buzzed around them, but people’s eyes seemed to linger.

Perhaps it was her grace—or the quiet authority radiating from him.

She gave him a curious look.

“You look different today,” she murmured.

“Do I?” he teased, and she laughed softly.

At the café, she reached for her wallet, but Raymond stopped her with a calm gesture.

“I can afford it,” he said simply.

Something in his voice made her pause—steady, confident, like he meant every word.

When breakfast ended, a faint notification flickered before his eyes.

> Mission complete. Charisma +1 added.

He almost chuckled. “Not bad,” he murmured.

---

Back in his apartment, Raymond tested the system’s functions.

With a single thought, he stored his phone, wallet, and even furniture into an invisible inventory.

Objects vanished in a soft flash of blue light.

“Incredible,” he whispered. “This isn’t just power. It’s freedom.”

By afternoon, he already knew what he needed to do—

if he was to become someone unstoppable, he had to look like it, live like it.

He hailed a cab straight to Skyline Mall, London’s most prestigious shopping complex.

Marble floors shimmered under golden lights. Luxury brands filled the halls, polished and flawless.

At a high-end tech store, his eyes caught on the latest iPhone 17 Pro Max.

“I’ll take that one,” he said.

The senior clerk, a blonde woman named Victoria, raised a brow. “Are you sure, sir? It’s… not cheap.”

Her tone was drenched in sarcasm.

Raymond met her gaze calmly. “Don’t worry. I’ll buy it—and a few extras.”

> Mission triggered: Teach the arrogant clerk a lesson.

Reward: Reputation +2

Risk: Loss of right arm if failed.

“Accepted,” he whispered under his breath.

Minutes later, the transaction was complete—paid in full.

Not just the phone, but the premium accessories, additional items, even gifts for her coworkers.

The mocking look on Victoria’s face evaporated.

Her colleagues exchanged impressed glances.

One of them, a polite brunette named Fiona, smiled as she handed him her business card.

“Thank you for shopping with us, sir. I hope we’ll see you again.”

He accepted it with a faint grin. “Count on it.”

> Mission complete. Reputation +2 added.

---

His next stop: a luxury men’s boutique.

Tailored suits, designer watches, polished leather shoes.

Each item radiated authority. Each thread was a declaration of control.

When he looked in the mirror, he almost didn’t recognize himself.

Confidence wasn’t something he pretended anymore—it was who he was.

“Ding.”

> Reminder: Missions and challenges may appear at any time. Stay prepared.

He smirked. “Always.”

Outside the mall, night had already fallen.

The city skyline gleamed like molten gold beneath the clouds.

Raymond stood by the glass railing, the reflection of neon lights dancing in his eyes.

In one hand, the black system card.

In the other, his new phone.

He could feel it—the shift of destiny itself.

“The world is harsh,” he murmured. “People underestimate me.”

His voice hardened. “But I’m no longer the old Raymond.”

The cold wind brushed past, carrying the distant echo of sirens.

Then another notification appeared.

> Ding!

System: External threat detected.

Defense mission will commence shortly.

Raymond smiled—slow and dangerous.

“Let them come.”

The new ruler of London’s underworld had just begun his reign.
