                                Discovery

The 18-year-old ran to embrace an old man, while complaining. “Enough Arston, I will ask the ancestor”. The old man replied as he took a secret tunnel right below the cellar. As he opened it, a dark aura burst forth, that pushed the old man to his knees.

“Ancestor, please, mercy,” the old man pleaded as he choked from the pressure of the aura. “I gave you one job, one job! Find a way to seal the dragon's luck, but what did you do, you failed me, you couldn't even do a simple job. Give me one reason I should not end your miserable life right now”. A hoarse voice that sounded like that of a demon sounded.

“I…I…I can't even explain what happened, the seal was clearly fine and strong, suddenly it was cut off by some mysterious force that bears similarity to you” The old man stammered.

“some similar force you say, hahaha, I should have expected it, they sent a system, didn't they? The heavens are clearly getting restless. Too bad, whatever they send, wouldn't change anything, I will swallow the Chosen child's luck and transform into a dragon, the world will be subjected to me hahaha.

A hysterical laughter arose from the pale, as a ghost ancestor, his face was handsome, but a reeked of blood, his blood-red clothes only served to highlight the pale skin that was covered together with his Scarlet-field pupils. He looked like an aura from hell.

“Fred, keep an eye on any of the 10 great families, alert me of any news at all, the heavens are finally acting up.”

“Yes ancestor.” Fred replied weekly as he exited the premises. Years ago, when he was still a poor thief that stole jewelry, he was bound to a system called the Faith exchange system, which derives power from exchanging its Faith to that of others.

With the help of this system, he rose and firmly occupied a seat as one of the 10 great families. The system became his ancestor and 21 years ago, a fate unlike any other showed signs of being born, since then, they are so close, the connection is cut off.

“Impossible! This luck belongs to my family, I will attain immortality”. The old man was determined.

Kim, oblivious to whatever is happening, is currently fuming as he gazes at his phone.

“What! I was expelled from school, hahaha, I should have known, Miller will stop at nothing to frustrate.”

Sighing, Kim went to meet the dean. “Sir, I was expelled from school, I didn't do anything wrong.” Kim said as he bagged into the Dean's office unannounced.

“Ahhhhh! What the fuck are you doing...... Get out! Get out!” the dean screamed at Kim, who walked in on him, having an affair with his secretary.

Oops, sorry, to interrupt your good time, but I think my expulsion deserves some answers.” Kim said, embarrassed.

He had heard rumors about the affair between both of them, but witnessing it was unexpected.

“Have they no shame? They are both married, but here they are having intimacy in broad daylight”. Kim muttered to himself, but his face was still poker like he didn't see anything.

Get out first! Dean Brown said as he pushed the shocked secretary, who glared at Kim with resentment, as she left the office.

"Young man, who are you?” The dean said, as he straightened his collar. “Oh, you don't understand me, I am Kim Larken" Kim introduced himself, Ah! The chairs too much, people that recognize me anymore.

Mhm, Kim Larken, that's impossible, that trash can never look this good, the brown remarked offhandedly.

“it's me, this is my school ID, though I really don't fancy the nickname trash.”

“Kim Larken, what are you still doing here? You were given an expulsion letter, and you were expected to comply within 2 hours of receiving the letter. What are you still doing here the brown replied with a disinterest after confirming Kim's identity

Why am I being expelled? I demand to know the reason that to on the last day of the school is some kind of joke or does my scholarship mean nothing to you game greeted his teeth

he just couldn't understand what games they were playing making input for 4 years then on his last day when he was supposed to get his diploma, he

is expelled making his 4 years completely useless.

Mhhmm, silly brat, you still there to ask when you offended the Larken's why didn't you think of your high school diploma? Let me let you in on a secret. the Larken's have a 5% share in this college whatever they say goals your expulsion record as bad you from entering into any university in the White City then Brown smile smugly.

Ding. Detected that host is in an unstable mind, hosts has triggered signing 6% share of veron High School

“Dean, are you sure you still want to go along with this illegal and unfounded expulsion?” Kim asked as he saw the prompt from the system.

“What illegal expulsion is called a Justified legal expulsion, don't go around running your mouth kid.” Dean Brown retorted, full of confidence.

Don't regret this in the future or rather soon enough Kim said as a walk out of the office he was going to give back the Favor he has forgiven and tolerated them enough no more. Evening quickly set as the school became a glow with festive lights, the entire auditorium was decorated in golden light that shimmered incessantly in the dark.

The parents proudly worked into the hall, and sat down according to ranks, the wealthy parents such as the Larken's sat on the very first seat in the Auditorium why the other parents sat behind them as for the poor and struggling parents they weren't even given a seat.

It all seemed laughable to Kim, who was watching from a distance with such obvious discrimination and hierarchy happening, in the Citadel of learning.
