A short while later, dinner was ready, and the aroma of delicious food wafted through the house.

Harry's smile radiated geniality, masking the snake coiled beneath. They had adjourned to the dining room, and the conversation swiftly delved into the joint hotel project between their companies.

Xavier's distaste curled as he observed Harry's eyes lingering on Aurora, visible from where they sat.

Fury reignited in his chest, a fire that desired nothing more than to ensure Harry left with no bones intact.

Unfortunately, metaphorical ties bound Xavier's hands, and until he found a way to untie them, he had to play nice. Harry, a big client and a friend of sorts, elicited no friendship from Xavier at the moment.

"It could take up to six months," Xavier stated, wrapping his hand around the whisky glass tightly, momentarily imagining it as Harry's neck. However, Harry paid scant attention to Xavier's words, his lustful gaze persistently fixed on Aurora.
