Fred stood frozen where Queen left him, face burning, pride bleeding. Around him, whispers stabbed like needles. Every glance felt like a punch to his gut.

He forced a shaky confidence and braced himself.

He couldn’t stay embarrassed.

Not when Marcus, Marcus of all people, receiving praise from Cent Corporation.

Not when everyone was staring at him like he was trash.

No!!!

Fred refused it.

He straightened his shirt, wiped his sweaty forehead, and plastered on that pretentious fake confidence he always used to mask his insecurity.

“I'm not done,” he muttered under his breath. “I won't let that fool upstage me.”

The crowd watched him with as Fred marched toward Queen.

She was still talking quietly with Marcus, her expression firm but respectful, something she gave nobody else in the entire hall.

Fred forced his way into the space between them.

Queen didn’t even bother to look at him at first.

“Ma’am,” Fred said, voice dripping with arrogance. “I think there’s something you need to know before you keep flattering this guy.”

"And realize the mistake that you've made!"

Queen’s brows twitched but she didn’t speak.

Fred mistook it for interest.

He smirked—dangerously and stupidly confident.

“I’m actually somebody important in this city,” he bragged with his chest puffed out. “I think you mistook me earlier. I’m the Fred… you know, the king of the school? Everybody knows me. I run things here.”

Queen’s jaw tightened, anger rising through ever single inch of her bones.

Fred didn’t notice.

He leaned closer like he was about to share some grand secret.

“And about Marcus…” he snickered. “Do you know who he really is? He’s a nobody, useless and broke Carried last in school. His supposed girlfriend left him for me, that show how worthless he is”

Marcus’s eye twitched, but he stayed calm.

Queen did not.

Her face darkened and berpatience snapped like a rope stretched too long.

Fred, an idiot with a mouth too big for his brain, kept running it.

“I don't know what he has told you but they are all lies. The truth is, he is a nobody that can barely afford to feed. Maybe he tricked someone. Maybe he hacked a system. But I’m telling you, he’s nothing. He’s not a VIP. He’s not a—”

SLAP!

The sound cracked across the hall like thunder.

Fred’s head snapped sideways so hard his neck popped. He staggered, nearly falling, eyes bulging in disbelief.

The entire room screamed at once.

Phones shot up in the air instantly.

“Jesus!”

“She slapped him!”

“No way!”

“Queen slapped the king of the school!”

Fred clutched his cheek, stunned, frozen, his ego shattered into dust at his feet.

He finally looked into Queen’s eyes.

They were burning.

Ice-cold anger.

Controlled fury.

A warning he should have never triggered.

But he had.

He triggered it fully.

“You are bold,” Queen said, voice trembling with restrained rage. “Unbelievably bold… to insult Master Marcus in front of me.”

Fred blinked fast, breathing hard, shame flooding every inch of his skin.

She took a step closer, her expression deadly.

"If you realize who you speaking about in such a manner, you would realize that you should live."

Fred opened his mouth.

She slapped him again.

SLAP!

This time, harder and louder.

Cameras flashed in an instant and flashes screamed.

“Another one?!”

“This is crazy!”

“He’s finished!”

Everyone that had once sided with Fred turned against him in the presence of the Queen.

Even Jane side stepped, afraid of the consequences of being associated with someone that had found disfavour with the Cent Cooperation

Fred’s legs wobbled. His soul almost left his body.

The entire incident hit the internet instantly. Within minutes, the video exploded online, flooding every platform.

# KingOfTheSchoolSlapped

# QueenVsFred

# CentCorporationBossRevealed

It spread with speed nobody expected.

Fred became a laughingstock in real time.

Queen ignored him like he didn’t exist.

She turned to Marcus and bowed again—her voice gentler this time but still laced with fire.

“I’m terribly sorry,” she said. “He disrespected you. And he insulted Cent Corporation on top of it.”

Jane gasped loudly. Her knees gave out. She collapsed onto a chair, trembling.

The entire school… the entire city… was already seeing the video stood in awe and their hearts shifted from it place.

Queen continued, her words sharp enough to make the entire hall feel like it had dropped to freezing temperature.

"I'm sorry boss! Punish me in whatever why that you wish!"

Silence swallowed the room whole.

Not a pin, a breath or even a cough was heard.

Marcus didn’t react, but the crowd did.

Her boss?

Marcus was her boss?

Queen wasn’t done.

She stepped slightly to the side, giving Marcus space as she spoke with respect so genuine it shook everyone.

“The rightful heir of Cent Corporation,” she announced, “was standing in your midst. And you all ignored him. Insulted him and mocked him.”

People gasped so hard it sounded like they were drowning.

Someone whispered, trembling, “He… he owns Cent?”

Queen nodded, her stare deadly cold.

“He is the heir. The future head. The actual owner of this company you all fear. The most powerful company in this city.”

Every single person froze like statues.

Jane covered her mouth, eyes wide with terror.

The manager nearly fainted.

Fred slumped to the floor, pale, shaking, his pride collapsing like a ruined building.

Queen looked around, her gaze harsh and unforgiving.

“And you treated him like garbage.”

Not a single person dared to breathe.

“You humiliated the one person,” she said, voice ice-cold, “who could destroy everything you own with a single decision.”

Shivers ran through the room.

Fear wrapped around every spine.

He blinked again, confused, disoriented and his feeling strangely lighter, wrapped in fresh sheets.A soft voice snapped him back.“You’re awake,” a nurse said, smiling warmly. She moved closer, checking an IV line running into his arm. “Don’t worry, you’re safe. Just relax.”But Marcus didn’t relax. His eyes darted around the room, and the shock hit him instantly. This wasn’t a normal hospital room. This room looked like a luxury suite disguised as a medical ward. Gold trim lined the walls.
