All Healed Up

Rin could feel the pain fading slowly and steadily. While it was true that he had been bullied a lot, it was not an injury that he would suffer in a single day. He had been getting hit in the same spot for an entire year which made his bones quite vulnerable.

But at the same time, the bones were slowly becoming strong. After the healing, the vulnerability would disappear and only the strength of the bones would remain to make them quite strong for any normal human of his age.

‘I have to pretend to be asleep for a little longer.’, Rin kept on pretending to be asleep.

Yes, as the healing continued, he did peek once or twice to see the book, but the light was too blinding due to which, he failed to even take a glance of the grimoire.

He kept his eyes shut nevertheless and waited for the maids to leave the room. It was quite a nostalgic feeling – pretending to be asleep, that is.

Soon May had finished healing Rin completely. Lala finished her work too. She had to put up the expensive curtains on the windows in order to cover the view from outside.

That was what she was instructed to do and thus she finished right after which both of them left the room without making even the faintest of noise.

Rin then finally opened his eyes and sat upright.

He then pulled his shirt up and looked at the places where he had previously gotten hurt and injured.

‘Wow, there is no pain at all.’

‘I have never felt so good in my entire life.’, he said with a smile.

A young boy, going to school while tolerating the pain at every moment – That was Rin.

He neither had the money nor the resources to visit a doctor to get cured. Only the nurse, Ms. Reena, was the only one who used to look after him.

And he was about to get out of bed and stretch his body to feel the great sensation, the door opened suddenly. Another maid walked in with a lot of expensive clothes but as soon as she entered, she found that Rin was awake and standing.

“Uh, this-”, Rin was about to give some random reason because he thought that it was the same maid who entered after May.

But even before he could say anything, the maid that just entered, immediately bowed.

“I greet the Young Master.”

“Please, forgive me for my insolence. I thought you were asleep and didn’t want to disturb you due to which I barged in without your permission.”, her tone was wavy.

It was as if she was nervous or to be precise, frightened.

*gulp*

‘My God, what did I just do?’

‘I barged into the prince’s room.’

‘Why will he just forgive me?’

‘I have to receive some punishment!’, she decided everything on her own.

Perhaps, this was the view that the royalty gave to the commoners and servants.

“Young master, you can give me any punishment. I will accept it.” – while she did say it boldly, her entire body was trembling.

Rin could see that and felt that there was no need for her to go to such lengths.

“Ah, it’s okay. No need to”. Rin replied immediately.

“Just go out for now.”, he said.

She was, at first, surprised by Rin’s response, but after he ordered her to leave, she snapped out of confusion.

As soon as she heard this, she stood up and left the room.

“Thank you, young master.”, she murmured.

She then recalled that Vars had asked all the maids to inform him when Rin was awake so she rushed to Vars’ office and informed him about what he had asked.

“He is awake!?”, Vars got out of his chair and swiftly walked towards the room where Rin was present.

He too, before entering the door, knocked on it.

*knock knock*

‘’Young Master, may I come in?”, Vars asked.

“Y-yes.”, Rin replied instantly.

Vars then entered the room and glanced at Rin, he then smiled after seeing that Rin was perfectly fine.

‘He…?’

‘Isn’t he the same person?’, Rin was a bit suspicious of Vars.

“Young master, are you fine?”, he asked.

‘Why is he calling me young master?’

‘Come to think of it, didn’t that lady also call me the same? And those other maids also referred to me that way.’, Rin recalled.

“Yes. I am fine.”, he replied.

“Thank God.”

“Young master, I am so happy that I found you.”, he said.

“…”

“Young master…?”, Vars called Rin out because he seemed lost.

Rin then asked, “Why are you calling me that way?”

“Young master, I know it is rude to call you this way but in the Human World, I think it will be safe if I refer you like this.”

“Once we return to Werewoll, we will call you as Your Highness.”, he bowed his head while saying this.

This just kept becoming weird.

“No!”

“What I wanted to know is why are you calling me that?”

“I am no young master, nor am I someone who should be referred that way.”, Rin argued.

“Young master, I guess you have no memory of your parents.”

“That’s why you are saying this.”, Vars said.

“…”

“How…?”

“How do you know that?”, Rin asked.

“Haha, young master, earlier you trusted me when I mentioned that I will tell you about your parents, then why don’t you trust me now?”

“Please hear me out, I will be telling you everything about your past and about the secrets of this world which normal humans don’t know about.”

“You will soon learn many things in detail once we arrive at Werewoll, but for now, I will be telling you some basic details.”

Vars then thought about first revealing the secrets of the world.

He thought that it would be best to keep the details about his parents away from him for a little longer. If he were to become sad, then he might not be ready to hear other things.

“Young master, you are-”

After killing multiple black-clad individuals, Reynold appeared before Emma as he heavily panted for air. "Huff…yes, thanks" Similarly gasping for breath and nodding her head, Emma's eyes darted all over the place as she looked at all of the battles happening around her. "What's going on? where are the professors?" "I don't know" Shaking his head, he looked just as confused as Emma… Logically speaking with everything that was happening around them, the professors would've already come down to help them as they wouldn't stand there and just watch the students die. It had to be noted that a lot of the students here were sons and daughters of very influential figures. Yet with everything going on around them, they still weren't here. That only meant one thing… Thinking that far, he clenched his fists and looked at Emma who seemed to have had the same thought as him. They were on their own… -Woosh! -Woosh! -Woosh! With Emma in his arms, pain flashed across his face as his body trembled uncontrollably. Then, raising his head and staring at the sky, towards the red mass in the far distance, Ren screamed at the top of his lungs. "Haaaaaaaa!" His desperate and pained cry resounded through the whole world. * Inside of a tent, not far from where Ren was. A male stared at the panel displaying the battle that was ensuing. His eyes were devoid of any emotions. There was deep ruthlessness hidden within them. Staring at Reb who was mourning Emma's death, the male did not feel anything. Rather, there was a trace of disgust on his face. Tapping onto his right ear to cut off the communication device, he took his eyes away from the screen. "...How useless." His emotionless voice rang through the room. "You had one job, and one job only. Defeat him, yet, you let such emotions sway you. How many times does this make it?" Deep disappointment flashed across his eyes as he stared at a small flask in his
