*Blink Blink*

'Wh-where am I?', Rin opened his eyes while asking himself this question.

He had an unfamiliar ceiling on top of him. It was quite dark, but despite that, everything was clear to him.

"Wasn't I in my room?", he asked.

He was completely confused because the place in which he was right now was none other than the same museum from which he had departed earlier.

"Just what the heck is going on?", he was getting chills and goosebumps was a common occurrence right now for him.

Clearly, very clearly something was fishy and he definitely felt that.

He tried to stand up but unfortunately, his body didn't have even an ounce of strength.

He was feeling feverish earlier and the same feeling was present even now. His body was definitely quite warmer than normal and he wasn't in his best condition either.

'Tap Tap'

And while he was in such a state, he suddenly heard the sound of someone's footsteps.

At first, he thought that it might have been his imagination, but soon he came to know that it was for real.

A person appeared from in front of him suddenly. He was wearing a black cloak as stated earlier.

His hair was completely black despite the wrinkles that he had over his face. He didn't seem to be muscular but he had a good height.

"Ah, you are finally awake!", he raised his voice and said that.

"Huh...?", Rin had been cautious all this time. He didn't know what was a person doing in a museum-like this.

The most probable reason that came to his mind was that the person had come to steal the valuables, so he was thinking about running away as soon as possible, but it seemed like the man wanted to talk.

Common psychology states that if one tries to do something against another, then the person would get irritated most of the time.

Rin knew that since he had heard about it from his long-dead parents once when they were advising their friends and thus that very knowledge came in handy at the moment.

"Do... do I know you?", that was the first question Rin asked the person.

Although he tried his best to remain composed, he was still nervous. Also, the mild fever was making him sluggish and was forcing him to stumble while saying.

Furthermore, the sweating didn't stop at all. He was drenched in his own sweat since earlier which he noticed only now when he tried to wipe the sweat from his forehead.

"Well, I don't think that someone like you would know me, but I wouldn't mind introducing myself once you get that book...", the man said.

"Huh? The book?", Rin was surprised.

It seemed as if the person wanted to book and nothing else and was manipulating his words so that he would get the book via Rin.

Rin was no idiot due to which he understood his underlying intention of getting the book. However, even if he did understand, he was in no state to go against what the man asked.

'I have no idea if he is hiding any weapon...', of course, if he becomes reckless and starts running, then the person might attack with some weapon that might end up killing Rin.

'Does everyone think that I am a pushover?', Rin asked himself.

He could remember getting bullied and then being saved by a girl and many more things. Ultimately all he could do was grit his teeth. He was quite frustrated when he recalled all those things.

"Why don't you get it yourself?", Rin asked.

He tried to prevent himself from offending the person but out of frustration and dizziness, he ended up saying that.

"Haha, if I could get the book then I would have done it long ago..."

"But it seems like the book only allows a selected few to grab it, and I think you are one of them...", the person said this while removing the cloak that he was wearing.

He was wearing another black shirt within due to which it didn't make any difference. In the end, all he wanted was for Rin to get the book.

'What the-'

'He speaks as if the book has a will of its own...'

'What is this... a magic world?', Rin was looking at the stranger with cold blank eyes since he failed to understand what he meant.

"Sigh, this will only complicate things, just grab the book by destroying the barrier then I will tell you everything...", the person said with a dark smile.

"Ha! What can you even tell me abo-"

"Your parents..."

Rin was trying to contradict the person but even before he finished what he wanted to say, the person interrupted.

"Parents...?", the moment that topic was raised, Rin's eyes changed.

The feeling of being feverish also disappeared with just the mentioning of his parents.

He got up from the sitting position and dashed towards the man. He then grabbed his collar with his left hand while clenching the fist of his right hand as if he was going to punch him.

"You f***er, what do you know about my parents!?", he asked rather abruptly.

One could clearly see the anger on his face. His mind was blank right now so he couldn't think anything properly.

The man lifted used his own left hand and pushed Rin only a bit so that the physical contact between them would be ceased.

"Would you calm down little boy..."

"I said right..."

"I will tell you everything, about your parents, your brother, and anything that you would want to know once you retrieve that book...", the person gave off the same dark smile while saying this.

"But I...", however, Rin was hesitant to even now.

'I don't even know if what he is saying is the truth...'

'Would he really say me about them? Does he even know about them?', those were the questions that arose in his mind.

"But I am too-", it seemed as if Rin wanted to say something but yet again even before he could finish saying it, the man spoke.

"You want to say that you are weak?"

The moment the man said that Rin's eyes bulged with surprise.

"Come on young Rin, do you really think that you can fool me just like those bullies?", he asked.

"..."

"Just who are you...?", Rin asked yet again.

"Haha, it matters not who I am... what you need to do is get the book and you will have answers for all your questions!", the man smiled yet again.

"Fine! I'll do it...", he grit his teeth and ultimately agreed to it.

He then walked towards the barrier and stood in front of it.

'Good... if he really is the said descendant, then he would most definitely be able to get that book!'

"What's going on? where are the professors?" "I don't know" Shaking his head, he looked just as confused as Emma… Logically speaking with everything that was happening around them, the professors would've already come down to help them as they wouldn't stand there and just watch the students die. It had to be noted that a lot of the students here were sons and daughters of very influential figures. Yet with everything going on around them, they still weren't here. That only meant one thing… Thinking that far, he clenched his fists and looked at Emma who seemed to have had the same thought as him. They were on their own… -Woosh! -Woosh! -Woosh! With Emma in his arms, pain flashed across his face as his body trembled uncontrollably. Then, raising his head and staring at the sky, towards the red mass in the far distance, Ren screamed at the top of his lungs. "Haaaaaaaa!" His desperate and pained cry resounded through the whole world. * Inside of a tent, not far from where Ren was. A male stared at the panel displaying the battle that was ensuing. His eyes were devoid of any emotions. There was deep ruthlessness hidden within them. Staring at Reb who was mourning Emma's death, the male did not feel anything. Rather, there was a trace of disgust on his face. Tapping onto his right ear to cut off the communication device, he took his eyes away from the screen. "...How useless." His emotionless voice rang through the room. "You had one job, and one job only. Defeat him, yet, you let such emotions sway you. How many times does this make it?" Deep disappointment flashed across his eyes as he stared at a small flask in his
