Chapter 06 peace treaty?

After a month, Maharlika has become more stable, and its military can now compete with some of the neighboring countries.

Rey noticed that some of them were not evolving into hob-goblins and drakozard, thus he named every one of them and since it's a bother to think of a good name, he used numerical numbers like Yi, Er, San, and so on.

"Master, there are thousands of warriors outside, all of them appear to be well-equipped!" Reported, Gobu.

"An enemy attack? Well, it was possible because we are a nation of monsters. I thought we could at least have a peace of mind for anothee month. Sighed!" Rey pondered, and spoke once again, Drakuru, Gian heed my order! "

"Yes!"

"Gather all of the troops and wait for me outside of Mahalika!" Ordered, Rey.

"As you wish!"

>Rey's House<

"Rey-sama, the dress you asked for from Isabella was delivered some time ago. Will you wear it now?" Asked, Theresa.

"Yes, please. I need to look presentable in order to make a good impression as the king of Maharlika.

..

>Outside The Main Gate<

"Master has arrived!" Said, Gobu.

"At ease."

Rey arrived at the scene as he wore a black suit with a tie on the neck and a black shoes that resemble those from his past life.

"I am the ruler of this country Maharlika! Why did a noble like you come to our small country?"

"I am the current king of the Beast Kingdom and I want to have my citizen back. I have also come here to see what kind of a ruler, the newly established country has." Said, the Beast King.

"For the citizen of your country, I don't have the say in that regard so you may ask them if they want to go back or stay. Theresa please bring all the citizens of the beast kingdom here."

The two looked at each other as they were waiting for the arrival of the immigrants.

"The citizen of the Beast Kingdom has arrived, master." Said, Theresa.

"Now that they've arrived, you can ask them if they want to return to your kingdom." 

"Do you wish to return to our homeland, Beast Kingdom citizens?"

"Long live your highness! We are truly sorry that we chose to stay at Maharlika. The king has accepted us despite the fact that we may be a spy of another country and we were indebted to the king at the time. Please allow us to stay your highness!"

"We don't have a choice, do we?"

"Will this become a war?" Muttered, Rey. 

Rey was about to order the generals to make preparations, but the beast king suddenly spoke.

"Why don't we sign a peace treaty?"

"Ahh? Did I heard it wrong?" He looks at Goblu as he spoke.

"No, you heard it right, Rey-sama."

"Goblu, what do you think?"

"A peace treaty will benefit both parties in numerous ways, such as trading materials/services, merchants from beast kingdom will be able to enter our country, eliminating the threat of invasion, and allowing us to develop our relationship with them." Siad, Goblu.

"Then, I don't have any reason to refuse right?"

Thus they signed a peace treaty with the beast kingdom and eventually welcomed to the country of Maharlika.

The two talked a lot of things and eventually come to the point where Rey asked the Beast King what had gone wrong to the point that his country become a target of someone.

"In the far south of the continent, there was a settlement of human barbarians...”

This barbarian has the ability to go on berserk just like my brother khufra. This king really has a tough problem that needs to solve huh?" Rey talked to himself.

The bell rung eight times while they were conversing and rejoicing.

If the bell rang two times, residents needed to meet for announcements. If the bell rang five times, someone was outside the gate and needed Rey's presence, and if the bell rang eight times, Maharlika was now under attack.

Rey immediately ordered the three generals to gather all the troops and follow him to repel the invasion, while the beast king himself wants to help to show his gratitude for taking care of his citizen. 

The king of the beast kingdom heard a familiar battle cry and informed me that it was the battle cry of the main army of barbarians. 

The army of barbarians is consist of a thousand normal troops, hundreds of berserkers, and two generals who are at the side of the barbarian king.

The two generals came up with a formation. Spearmen lizard is in the middle to guard the goblin archer, while the orc is in the front, preparing to ravage the enemy. 

General Lucious ordered the goblin to shoot an arrow and with the assistance of lieutenant Gobu, the arrow became a cursed arrow that has a slow effect and a 20% decrease in their strength.

A hundred normal barbarians have been annihilated in an instant. 

General Gian ordered the orcs to attack, as they are in a triangle formation while General Gian is at the front. The formation became a big boar that is ravaging anyone without restraint. 

With just the orc's attack, the number of enemies' normal troops decreased to hundreds.

The orcs stop in the middle of the battle.

To the enemy's perspective, the orcs are tired. But to Rey, the orcs stop as it is because drakuru commanded his spearmen to clean up the remaining enemies. 

The Beast King was astonished by the fact that Rey's general's was good at tactical and frontal attack.

The reason for the sudden changes in the general’s strategies is because Rey himself wrote countless of book about the many subjects he learnt from when he was alive back on earth.

The beast king told Rey that they, too, want to go on a fight. They believed that barbarians have invaded Rey's nation because the Beast King was currently present.

The beast king ordered hundreds of his cavalry spear knights to annihilate a hundred berserkers of the enemy, the war lasted for over an hour and ended with the beast king armies emerging victorious.

The left general of the barbarian king make a move and killed half of the cavalry with ease. Generals are itching for a fight so Rey made a request to the beast king if he can give this last battle to them and fortunately the king agreed. 

Rey asked the three generals if they want to fight the left general, and he was shocked that Gian suddenly rushed towards the enemy like a madman.

"Ahh?"

"He was itching for a fight, rey-sama." Said, Drakuru.

Gian strikes the enemy head-on, but to think that the their general also has the skill to make his body indestructible and since they both have the same abilities it lasted for over an hour. They're both exhausted their inner-gy and at the last moment, it became a battle of pure brute force. And again it lasted for over a few minutes with Gian as the victorious. 

"What's your name?" Asked General Gian. 

"Brolly is my name."

"Farewell! I will remember your name as the first enemy I killed as a general!”

The right general suddenly dashed toward Gian while showing his murderous intent after seeing that his brother, Brolly has been killed on the spot.

"Gian come back here faster!" Yelled, Rey.

Rey ordered Grim to save Gian as soon as he can. And thankfully, Grim came at the right time and prevented the right general from killing Gian.

Rey was enraged. He wanted to rush over there and wipe them off, but noticed how calm their barbarian king was.

He ordered his two generals to kill that enemy. Lucious make a sword out of light while Drakuru made his spear coated with Incarnated fire.

They both rushed toward the enemy, Lucious as the attacking force from the left flank while Drakuru on the right. Though their attack was as good as a B-Rank monster, the enemy still avoided their synchronized which only leaves a small wound on him.

"Perhaps that skinny barbarian has the ability to predict my general's attack? Then this will only exhaust both sides, but drakuru probably noticed it." Muttered, Rey. 

Drakuru asked Lucious to buy him some time, and took a step back from the battle.

By stimulating his innergy and shaping his imagination, his blue flame became a dragon figure, drakuru used his newly created skill <[incarnated dragon flame]>

The dragon's flame rushed toward the enemy and burned the enemy endlessly. 

Rey told the two generals to return to their positions while he himself was itching for a battle as well, and it appears that the barbarian king has already lost its patience.

..

Rey wants to try all his abilities against the barbarian king and so he takes the initiative to attack. He augmented his spear with a curse which has the ability to prevent them from healing for a while.

He rushed towards the barbarian king and swirled his spear until he inflicted some minor injury on the barbarian king. Even though his wound never heals, he can still block all Rey's attacks.

The barbarian king used his sword and cast a Flame Shower.

"Wait what? He was using a sword? Right? But cast a flame shower? And on top of that, there is no incantation word. Is he a magic swordsman? No, he looks like he doesn't even know the basics of swordmanship. Then is he a magician, but using a sword as his wand? Goblu is a magician too, but he uses incantation before casting the spell, and this barbarian king just shouted the name of the attack, and boom. So he is by far stronger than Goblu?" Asked Rey, inwardly. 

<[Berserk]> you want to use berserk?  ([Yes]/No?) all stats have been raised to 25%.

Rey swung his spear endlessly like a madman while the barbarian king uses an inner shield skill and only tiny cracks have been made. 

"Come to think of it? I have a snake on my body which become a part of me. If I am not mistaken, it has an  ability of Dimensional Space (Rey can devour someone or something and will be teleported into a small space,) and it has 10000 innergy, right? "

Rey started to use half of its innergy using innergy transfer. 

<[Inner-gy transfer]> ([Yes]/No), 5000 inner-gy from the snake has been successfuly transferred to the owner. CD: 2days. 

Like what Drakuru does in his blue fire, Rey also created a skill "Storm Flame.”

Since Rey's innergy rose drastically, the Storm Flame became a huge hurricane that instantly pulverized the barbarian king.

It's a pity that Rey didn't have the opportunity to dominate him, but nevertheless, it's a good fight for him. 

"T-This warm feeling again is it possible that I'm going through another transformation?" Asked Rey, inwardly.

Rey's body has gone into a hibernation as if he has become a baby again.
