Children were going to school together, merchants were selling food together, and everyone was safe. But far away from the Demon Kingdom, in the Capital City of Humans, King Rin was in shock. He had received no report of war for months. The Demon King had cancelled all attacks. He had stopped killing soldiers. He had stopped capturing humans. King Rin was worried. He called for an urgent meeting. In the meeting hall, there were saints, ministers, the Crown Prince, and the 6 Heroes of the kingdom. King Rin looked serious. "Did anyone get any news from the Demon Kingdom?" One old minister named Zime stepped forward and said, "My king, I heard a strange rumor. People say the Demon Kingdom has completely changed." The king frowned. "It is just a rumor, don't believe it. A demon never changes." Then the king looked at his son, the Crown Prince Andress, and at the 6 Heroes. "I'm worried about my people and about the 1st Commander Kalvin and his 50 soldiers who never returned," the king said. "What should we do?" After a long discussion, they gave an idea — to send the 2nd Commander and 10 soldiers to the Demon Kingdom to find out the truth. The king agreed. He called the 2nd Commander and 10 elite soldiers, and to protect them, he sent 2 of the Heroes with them — a powerful mage Hero named Sung, and a strong sword Hero named Adrian. They all prepared to leave. Before they left, King Rin held their hands and said, "Bring back my people and my soldiers. Bring them home." The two Heroes promised the king. "We will rescue them and bring them back to the Capital Kingdom." The Journey On their way to the Demon Kingdom, they walked for many days. At night, they built tents in the dark forest. The next day, they walked again through the forest. They fought monsters on the way. They lived in the forest like this for 5 days. On the 6th day, they finally reached near the Demon Kingdom. But when they arrived, they were completely shocked. From very far away, they expected to see a dark, scary gate covered in skeletons and blood, just like in the old stories. But what they saw was completely different. They saw a beautiful main gate covered in colorful flowers and glowing light magic. And when they looked at the Demon Kingdom, they did not see a dark kingdom at all. They saw a bright, shining kingdom full of lights, like a city from a fairy tale. They felt like they were seeing a completely new world, not the Demon Kingdom they had heard about. The two Heroes, the 2nd Commander, and the 10 soldiers quickly built a tent near the forest, hidden from the kingdom. They needed to make a plan. The two Heroes ordered 2 soldiers to go into the Demon Kingdom and look at what was happening inside. They told them to act like tourists. The two soldiers changed into normal clothes and walked towards the kingdom as tourists. When they reached the gate, they were shocked for the second time. Standing at the gate, welcoming tourists and merchants with a smile, was the 1st Commander — Kalvin! He looked very happy and healthy. He was not a prisoner at all. He was wearing a beautiful uniform and was in charge of the gate. The two soldiers couldn't believe their eyes. The Commander saw them and immediately recognized them. His face lit up with happiness. "What are you doing here?" Kalvin asked them, surprised and happy. The two soldiers were still in shock. "We heard a rumor that the Demon Kingdom has changed, so we came to see if it is true or not. We are so happy to see you alive, Commander!" Then they whispered, "Will you come with us and talk? We need to know what happened." Kalvin agreed. He turned to the other demon guard at the gate and said, "Please look after the gate for a moment." The demon guard bowed respectfully and said, "Yes, Commander Kalvin!" That shocked the two soldiers even more. A demon was obeying a human commander without any fight or anger. A human was commanding demons. What kind of world had this Demon Kingdom become?
