Chapter 8: True Face of the Devil.
Nicholas glanced at his daughter Natasha feeling stunned. Never once had he expected his own daughter to speak up for the pauper yet here she was. Even Antonio didn't expect her to side with him at this moment. He was planning on using this limited capital to rebuild his fallen empire from scratch and maybe have a chance to regain his freedom. Truth of the matter was that he was never planning on relying on Natasha from the very beginning. Although it sounded cruel, he was only planning on using her till he could reclaim his freedom. He really had no idea why such a woman would insist on marrying him and although he felt guilty for doing this even though he knew she could easily see through his intentions, he was still at a loss when she actually took the initiative to help him. Antonio's expression was one of joy yet hidden beneath it was a look of uncertainty. After careful appraisal and recollection, he was able to note the subtle shift in her demeanor. He saw that she was calm, but there was an edge to her words from earlier that made him feel uneasy for some reason. Still, he kept his thoughts to himself since they didn't seem relevant at the moment. Meanwhile Nelson hesitated, clearly torn between his protective instincts and his respect for his Granddaughters wishes. Although he didn't know why she, all of a sudden was willing to risk her partnership with him right out of the blue. However, he eventually sighed, his shoulders slumping in defeat. “Very well,” he conceded, his voice tinged with resignation. He turned to Antonio, his eyes filled with concern. “Just… be careful. I promised your grandfather I'd look after you so try not to over do it, understand?” Antonio nodded, although he couldn’t quite shake the feeling that there was something more to Natasha’s words. " Ok, I think that's good enough. If you get tired of wandering the halls, just ask a maid or help to direct you to your living quarters. " Nelson said " Oh that won't be a problem grandpa, I'd be delighted to take Antonio there myself." Natasha suddenly spoke up. She walked up to Antonio and to his surprise suddenly hooked her arms around his. " I really want to take my time talking to him grandpa, Can I?." _...Well Antonio must be tired having lived in such harsh environments.., But I guess it's ok since Natashas taking it up on herself to insist. Who knows it might just strengthen their bond_ Nelson thought , Although he was a bit skeptical about her sudden enthusiasm, but in the end he nodded before making his way out of the hall. Nicholas glanced at Antonio one more time before reluctantly leaving as well. The instant they departed, Antonio suddenly felt the air grow thick with tension. He turned to glance at Natasha who was sticking so close to him, expecting the same calm, understanding woman who had just spoken so gently. But the moment the door closed behind Nelson, he felt as if his hand had been frozen in chilling Ice. Natasha’s expression changed in an instant. The softness vanishing before he knew it, now replaced by a cold, calculating gaze that sent a chill down his spine. “Going somewhere?” she asked, her voice suddenly icy as she took a step closer to him. Antonio blinked, confused by the abrupt shift. “ Weren't we supposed to—” Before he could finish, Natasha moved with surprising speed, tackling him down with a sweep of her feet and pinning him against the floor. The impact caused Antonio's back to ache a bit and his head felt lightheaded from the fall but Natasha didn't seem to care, instead her eyes remained locked on Antonio’s as she crouched atop him, her head bent down till their faces were only inches apart, Antonio felt her hot breath atop his cheeks and her alluring scent waft across his nostrils, her hands griping his arms while one of her legs was in-between his. If not for the sudden tension in the air, one would've mistaken their sudden postures for an ambiguous situation. “Let me make one thing clear,” she hissed, her voice low and dangerous. “You can play your little games with my father. You can even pretend you’re doing this for yourself. But don’t for one damn second think you can walk away from me.....” Antonio’s heart raced, both from the physical proximity and the sheer intensity of her words. “Natasha, what are you—” “Don’t interrupt me,” she snapped, squeezing his biceps even tighter. “You think just because of a silly bet with my father, you'll be able to escape from our little agreement?, You actually think you have a choice here?. Let me remind you that you're legally bound to me whether you like it or not..." Antonio’s mind reeled as he tried to process what was happening, he tried pushing her off only to find her grip and strength far stronger than he'd imagined. Although he was sure he could escape her hold, the meer strength she was showing right now was something he found difficult to believe. _just how strong is this woman‽_ he wondered while staring into her devilish pupils, Now that they were so close to each other, he actually found himself amazed by her stunning beauty. Although he would've claimed to have seen a multitude of gorgeous women back in the peak of his glory, he had to admit, This devilish beauty atop him would've undoubtedly made it to the top most of his list. Right now the Natasha he thought he knew had vanished, replaced by someone far more dangerous and unpredictable. " Natasha, how about we talk this out first–" " There's nothing to talk about! " She scolded, her voice sounding even more harsher than ever. “You belong to me now, Antonio, Understand?” she continued, her voice now a menacing whisper. “No matter what happens with this little bet of yours, whether you win or lose, Be sure to remember that it won’t change the fact that you’re mine.”Latest Chapter

He hadn’t moved, but he seemed to take up all the space around them, making her feel as if she had nowhere to go.“It’s the least I can do after experiencing such a private concert." Antonio snickered making her blush once more. "Besides, it looks like it might rain.” He glanced up at the grey, clouded sky, though in truth, it didn’t look like rain at all. " I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I allowed a benefactor of mine suffer when I know I could've lent a hand.' This can't be happening...'' Is he really serious?' ' Please just take the hint..' ' If I stay in his company any longer, who knows what might happen.'Misha’s mind raced. Every voice in her head screamed at her to say no, to thank him politely and walk away. But he was so disarmingly charming, and his eyes were so earnest, that the thought of a warm car ride to her destination, versus a cold, cr

Chapter 16: It's ok, I really don't mind. The last, lingering note from Misha’s violin faded into the late afternoon air, swallowed by the distant sounds of the city traffic and a sudden applause from the bystanders who had been listening. " Thank you, Thank you all so much." She thanked each and everyone of them, especially those who felt it in their hearts to reward her wonderful performance with a few generous notes.' Hahaha, please don't be shy.' she smiled at a couple who tipped her with smiles on their faces.' I know you've still got more than enough buddy... Cough up the dough..' Misha secretly stared at a chubby man eating a hotdog while bending down to tip her open case.' Yes yes yes, with this much, I can spurge a bit. Maybe even by one of those jelly donuts on my way back home.' She giggled in her mind.It was to be expected since the performance had managed to cause so many people to stop what they were doing and simply listen to her wonderful symphony. Even Antonio ha

Chapter 15: Shadows and Crosshairs.Nickson blended into the sidewalk like an innocent pedestrian, his polished shoes clicking softly against the pavement as he walked along the bustling street. The city's ambient noise of honking cars, distant chatter and the occasional bark of a store owner—served as a perfect cover for his discreet conversation. He spoke into his concealed earpiece, his tone calm without any hint of nervousness."The Target approached StarCorp Real Estate as anticipated," he reported. "Interaction with the receptionist was brief; however, Assistant Director Derek Chase confronted him publicly. Chase ridiculed Mr. Silverstone's past failures, drawing the attention of nearby employees and visitors. Mr Silverstone then responded with measured sarcasm before exiting the premises."A chuckle crackled through the earpiece, followed by the smooth, disdainful voice of Sir Nicholas. "Ah, that Silverstone brat definitely got what he deserved. He dares to boast about winning

Chapter 14: Pride and ProvocationAntonio stepped into the impressive lobby of StarCorp Real Estate, his gaze sweeping over the towering ceilings, glass walls, and slick, modern decor. The air conditioning washed over him, a cool breeze in contrast to the fire simmering within him as he steeled himself for what might await. Despite his polished and professional appearance, he wasn’t the kind of man to expect a warm welcome here, well, not anymore anyways. With a practiced calm, Antonio walked over to the sleek reception desk where a young woman with icy poise sat, typing swiftly on her system, her dark hair pulled into a tight bun. Antonio leaned against the counter with an easy smile, intending to keep things polite. “Good morning. I’m here to see Mr. Reginald Sharpe, The Director of this branch.”The receptionist’s hands froze mid-type. Her gaze remained glued to her screen for a moment before she hesitantly looked up. Her eyes widened in surprise the moment she saw him, especiall

Antonio’s sharp gaze lifted, taking in the towering grandeur of the brilliant looking building Infront of him.The building was non other than StarCorp Real Estates New York branch. Even at a glance, the building screamed extravagance, it was decorated with new sculptures which lined the entrance, golden accents gleamed against the glass facade, and a sprawling chandelier shone through the lobby’s floor to ceiling windows.Antonio gave a low whistle, muttering under his breath, " I guess things never change..., One way or the other, StarCorp… always finds new ways to flaunt their fortune." He then got out of his car and sighed before he adjusted the collar of his tailored long sleeved plain white shirt, his expression twisting with a mix of melancholy and curiosity as he approached the entrance.---Unbe

Chapter 12: A reasonable explanation. Her eyes were like twin shards of green ice, boring into him with a look that could freeze molten lava. The frosty expression on her face made the air feel thick with tension. And judging by the look in her eyes, Antonio realized with a pang of dread that his posture of leaning casually towards the flustered maid, might have looked a tad…ambiguous."Ahh Morning Natasha, forgive me, but I didn't notice you at all." he greeted smoothly, refusing to let her see any hint of discomfort. Her gaze shifted briefly to the maid, who seemed to be holding her breath. Natasha’s lips thinned into a cold, disapproving line. It was as if she was trying to decide whether to have Antonio skinned alive or simply incinerated on the spot.Antonio cleared his throat, adopting a casual tone. "I was just asking Emily for directions," he explained with a calm look, as if what he had done wasn't wrong whatsoever. He smiled, adding lightly, "I wouldn't want to get lost a
