Bang!
Bang! Bang! As the three guards charged forward, intending to use their numbers to their advantage, they were easily kicked into the distance with swift kicks. Their bodies were easily sprawled flat on the floor, unconscious. All they saw was a blurred figure of Damien as he darted around like a phantom. In merely three seconds, he had finished them off. He should have been outnumbered; however, the fight didn’t even look like it was worth breaking a single sweat. To the men, he might seem invincible, but to him, it was like he was bullying kids. “So weak! I thought the Beckham family would have better ones.” Damien shook his head in disdain, clearly displeased by the men. Joseph, Lily, and even Maya stared at the scene with their jaws open wide. Maya was able to testify that indeed he had some skills with what he had shown her before. It might be impressive to be her bodyguard indeed. Her grandfather did make such a good pick. Earlier, she had been in doubt, but now it had been cleared. She couldn't help but take a look at Joseph. The man was now drenched in cold sweat like a dog who was left in the rain. He seemed to have calmed down and didn’t look like he would throw his weight around anymore. “Why aren’t you saying anything? I thought you wanted to stop me?” Damien turned to look at him with a smirk. “Hmp. I’ll let you off today.” Without the bodyguards, Joseph was as weak as a bug, so he didn’t dare infuriate Damien any longer. Whatever had happened in those five years seemed to have nurtured him into what he was today. If that was the case, then he had to warn his family. “Lily, let’s go.” He said hurriedly and began to walk off. “Ooh, okay.” Lily, who was like a frozen statue before, finally moved, and they hurried to the car, leaving behind their men who were passed out on the floor. Damien stared at them coldly. He could have easily killed them, but he felt it was too easy. He wanted them to return to the family and pass on his message. They shall know terror as soon as he hunts them. For now, giving them sleepless nights was good for starters. “Let’s go.” He said to Maya before walking off to her car and hopping in. She didn't hesitate either. She hopped into the driver's seat. A thought popped into Damien’s head. He twirled his head towards her and smiled. “Thank you for standing up for me.” “It’s fine.” She nodded her head. “I also appreciate the fact that you are not a spineless man.” She added. Damien chuckled lightly and didn’t say more. He looked ahead, while Maya started the car, and they drove out of the premises. Silence reigned in the car all along as they drove off. Damien had many things on his mind. In fact, even before his release, he had many things planned out. Now that he was out, he had to put them into action. While he was lost in his thoughts, Maya kept taking glances at him through the front mirror, wondering what was going on in his head. She might not look like it, but he had captured her interest in a way she couldn't fathom yet. Ring! Ring! Just then, her phone buzzed, blaring through the silence in the air. She quickly picked it up, and when she saw the caller, she went ahead to answer the call. Damien couldn't help but notice the series of expressions that played out on her face. Whoever she was talking to must have informed her of something grave and important. Just as he suspected, she said after hanging up. “I’m so sorry, but I have to drive to the company right away!” She said with a helpless look on her face while Damien nodded his head, seeing no issues with it. “I’m sorry for this.” She apologized again. “It’s fine,” Damien assured her when she drifted over and changed course to the path towards the company. She stepped on the accelerator and sped off professionally. Damien had to admit she looked quite fierce, like her grandfather. … They arrived a moment later. Maya soon parked in the company parking lot. She unstrapped her seatbelt before asking. “Will you go in with me?” Damien thought about it briefly before shaking his head. “I’ll just wait here…” he said, but on second thought, he quickly added. “Actually, there’s someone I’d like to meet. An old friend.” Maya stared at him for a short while before she stretched toward the backseat and suddenly took out a brand new phone and a black card. “Take this.” She extended them to him. “Call me when you are done. Or I’ll call you.” She added. Before he could reply, she continued. “Also, take your baths and get changed, or else you won’t be allowed into some places.” She advised. He had just gotten out of prison, so he was supposed to freshen up and change out of what he was wearing. But of course, he didn’t take offense at what she said, but instead, he had the intention of doing that even before she mentioned it. “Sure, thank you.” Damien collected the phone and the card with a smile. He didn’t expect such kind gestures. She was so full of surprises. Both of them hopped out of the car, and while she hurriedly walked towards the company, Damien turned in the other direction and took a cab. —- Half an hour later, Damien arrived at the covenant law group, fully changed. He was clad in a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved shirt while his jet black hair was combed nicely to the back. He approached the entrance; however, two guards evaded his path and blocked him from going in. They both had a condescending look on their faces as they wondered where he had popped up from and was freely walking into the company like he owned the place. “Did you book an appointment?” One of them asked harshly and purposefully tapped his baton in his other hand to send a warning. The other was looking at Damien just the same. He couldn’t help but chuckle slightly as he wondered if they thought portraying such gestures meant anything. Apparently, he was here on a serious matter, so he had no time to fool around with them. Rather than responding, he lifted his hand and snapped his fingers. The guards who were about to bash him for being mute without giving them a proper response suddenly lost consciousness out of the blue and collapsed to the floor. He looked at them briefly before trotting in. Damien knew his way around, so finding the manager's office didn’t take long for him. When he got towards the office, he pushed the door and walked in. However, in the next moment, a voice snapped from inside. “Don’t you know how to knock?” "Damen... you're..you're.. out already," the figure stuttered, her expression appearing clam, but her shaky voice and hands betrayed her feigned calmness as she gulped down an invisible lump in her throat.Latest Chapter
But, it doesn't matter
Smack!Damien then proceeded to drop a contract document on the table. No one on the other party except Joseph saw this coming. So that was the plan Damien had all along? To use the betting contract to force them into collaborating with Vantage Materials? “What's the meaning of this?” Donald's brow arched. “Are you pulling a stunt to save yourself or what?” He growled.“Why don't you ask your son? I'm sure he knows what I am talking about!” Damien shifted his gaze to Joseph. The latter shivered as soon as he became the subject of attention.“Dad…he….” Joseph had been thinking of lies to tell his father since yesterday. He didn't sleep, and dark circles formed around his eyes because of the pressure. He never expected Damien to come at them so soon. As he stood there, he began racking his head up; after a while, he thought of something and immediately spoke up.“Last night… I was drunk. He forced me to sign it.” He pointed at Damien as he lamented.“Force you? Did I force you to lose
No one can compare to you
Soon the three of them walked back into the company. Leo and Kai had just stepped out of the elevator, intending to head to a few departments to assign new tasks to the workers, when they saw the man they thought they had chased, walking back in.Kai frowned and wanted to curse when Leo stopped him. His face paled as he looked past Aiden to the young man walking behind him. Undoubtedly, that was the same person who had beaten Lily and Joseph in front of the company the other day, which had caused a huge stir on the internet and made their stock plummet. If the man was here, didn't that mean he had something planned? Also, he was with Aiden? What the heck was going on?“Why are you stopping me from cursing that bastard to death?” Kai complained in displeasure.“Look,” Leo leaned closer to him. “You see that man behind him,” he added, not daring to point at Damien, but at least he expected Kai to know who he was referring to.“You mean that kid?” Kai sized Damien up as he spoke when Le

Bang!Bang!Bang! In less than thirty seconds, twenty-five people were sprawled all around in the room, unconscious. Some had broken legs, some broken hands. In summary, they were all in overwhelming pain and as a result, they all passed out. The others, upon seeing this, didn't dare test the waters anymore. Their numbers didn't matter; Damien was a monster who couldn't be stopped. It didn't matter if they rushed at him like a tide; none of them were able to touch his clothes.Even a few men in suits Joseph had come with, thinking they could make a difference, could do nothing.Joseph had sunk back to his chair with crushing defeat in his chest. He couldn't speak a word to motivate the others to attack. They had all lost hope, and all he could see in their eyes was fear. He wasn't any different.Smiling, Damien walked back to where he was and picked up the contract document.“I guess we are done here.” He then looked toward the dealer. Without saying a word, the man knew what was nee

Bang!“Damn it! You cheated! I can swear it. Four games, and you won all. No one can be that lucky.” Joseph stood up and slapped the dice off the table in a fit of rage. His face had become uglier than before, just as Damien had anticipated. “Why did you cheat? That wasn’t the deal!” He pointed at Damien and sneered. Though he could cheat in roulette; all he had to do was ask the dealer to spin the wheel, but in chess, if it were someone else, he would have used his hand to flip the dice to his choice of numbers. But with Damien, he couldn’t dare to do such a thing.“I won. The contract has been signed too. Now I can leave. I do not want to keep playing anymore.” Damien nodded and stood up. He looked at the dealer before continuing.“Convert the cash to chips and send the money to me.” He instructed.“No!” Joseph suddenly bellowed. Damein looked at him only to see his face had contorted with both pain and despair. “We should keep playing!” He continued through gritted teeth. His h
A straight win!
“What are your terms? You go first.” Joseph said, intertwining his fingers as he leaned forward, staring at Damien intently.“It’s simple. If I win, you’ll have to do whatever I want.” Damien said nonchalantly.Besides, he knew Joseph wanted him to go first so he could gauge his terms, and if they were unfavorable to him and his family, he would easily call it off.On the other hand, Joseph expected something worse, but hearing what Damien said, it didn’t seem much of a big deal to him. Besides, there was no way Damien was going to win this time. He might have a chance with the roulette games, but when it came to rolling dice, Joseph had already begun to imagine himself winning the jackpot.“My terms are, you’ll give me double the winnings. I don’t mind if you don’t have money; you can call Maya to send some. She’s your accomplice, isn’t she?”He raised a brow at him as he spat.Damein remained calm. The brat wanted the jackpot of four hundred million dollars and another, totaling ei

“You…you are cheating, aren’t you?” Joseph roared out furiously with beet-red eyes. He never thought or expected the feeling of losing would be so hurtful. Even if he lost, he should have been able to control the situation, but with Damien, he felt like he was trapped in a box.“Cheating? Coming from someone like you?”Damien raised a brow at him. “Or are you so distressed about the money you just lost that you want to falsely accuse me instead? Come on, I thought the Beckham family had a lot of money? Don’t tell me you guys have gone broke after losing just this little to me.”His eyes narrowed intently even though he was deliberately trying to provoke the other party.Joseph was so close to losing himself. The makeup he put on to cover up his bruises was slowly falling off. If people saw the printed finger marks on his cheek and knowing Damien’s character, he would definitely use it to taunt him.He decided to calm himself down instead. Subsequently, he tried his best to put on a s
