Since it's going to be a closed casket burial. His Uncle lays in the black coloured coffin. He looks like he is sleeping in the most uncomfortable position. The room for viewing Von Kent's dead body is located in a damp corner of the building, and the air is stiff. John stiffens and turns away. Seeing his uncle like this makes his stomach turn in knots, and tightens. “Another half a glass of wine?” Finna whispers from behind him. “Yes, please, and make it a full.” He murmurs. She gives it to him, and he murmurs a half-hearted thank you. Finna has kept a

Stephanie bursts into tears when her daughter is finally in her hands again. It has been less than two days, but she feels like an eternity has passed. “I'm sorry, my darling, we couldn't find you earlier.” Stephanie cries. “I'm sorry, my dear daughter.” Athena laughs as her tiny hands wrap around her mother's neck. “Mum, don't worry. I don't want you to worry about me. I'm fine.” “Are you sure?” She examines every inch of her daughter's body. She can't tell how her daughter is about to stand here and giggle, after she was a victim of kidnapping. Alex is standing next to Roman, and Stephanie opens her hands to him too. In her arms, Alex lets down his guard just a little more than he has with anyone else. His small hands hang around her neck and a small sob leaves his mouth. “My Dad. My mum…” She picks him up and hugs him very tightly, her eyes getting filled with tears also. “I'm so sorry, Alex darling. You never deserved any of that.” Roman sees how vulnerable the young bo

Alex is wiping his mother's face with a towel that he found in the dresser, and he cut it up with a butter knife. He has soaked it into water and holds it over her head, to help fight her fever. His uncle has refused to see him just yet, else he would have begged again for his mother and Athena to be freed. Athena is still in her uniform, and she is standing by the window, fingering the small dolphin pendant that is hung on her silver necklace. She doesn't look as worried as she was the first time, and he even catches her smiling sometimes. His heart skips a couple of beats. Has his best friend gone insane? Why is she smiling at the empty air? “Athena, can you come and help me hold this?” He calls her. She comes and stands to his side. He steals a few more glances at her face, trying to get a final reading of her emotions. “What's the matter, Athena, you are acting strange.” She holds her hand over her mouth as a giggle escapes. “Nothing. Just that my Dad will soon be here.”

Of course Linc is not going to go easily, but Roman is somehow able to drag him up to the rooftop. It's evening, the breeze is cold and slaps the skin. Linc growls and lays all the curses in the world on him. Roman lets go of him, and Linc falls on his ass. As if his day can't get even worse. “Linc, I'm here to save you, but I need you to help me do that.” Roman place his hands on his hips. “What's all the dirt you have on Anthony Petrov? Come on, help me out here.” “What?” Linc bares his teeth. “What the hell are you saying? Did the Professor put you up to this? Because he already assured me that you are my fucking replacement!” “Forget all those things he said, Linc.” Roman says. “I've never been on his side, okay? Give me something.” Linc stands up and beats the dust off his pants. “If you think I am going to give you anything, then you have another thing coming.” His large boots scrunches the tiny stones lining the ground as he stomps towards the door. “Come on, Linc, don

Linc's brisk walk into the vast living room is a wordless indication that something is wrong. Anthony Petrov should have known this from his body language, but he is intrigued with the picture that he is painting. He is not a good painter, he just knows the basics, but he seems very impressed with his terrible work. He stands up with a satisfied sigh and turns to see Linc with his lips pinched in anxiety. “Sir, I'm afraid I have terrible news. John Kent just called to inform me that his Uncle, Von, has just passed away.” Anthony Petrov is wiping the water colour from his fingers and his eyes shoot up. “Von Kent? Dead?” “I'm afraid so, sir.” “What the fuck happened to him?” Anthony screws his face. “I was having so much fun with the guy. Has his issues, but he was also a badass accountant..” Linc is about to say that John is also there to take over, but he is overwhelmed by a raging fit of cough. In between coughs, he excuses himself and goes to the bathroom. The cough has a

John Kent is completely distraughted by the news. He simply can't believe that his Uncle killed himself. His Uncle has never called in sick to work, not to talk more of being depressed, so what's the reason? He manages to drive to his Uncle's house without getting into an accident, and his wristwatch beeps to alert him that eleven o'clock. The servants are all standing outside, the two woman among them are holding each other and crying hard, the rest looks disheveled. John manages to stay calm, but he is panicking inside of him. If his Uncle is really gone, then this has changed a lot of things for him. “Where is he?” He asks the head servant. “In his bedroom, sir. We didn't know what to do. We thought of calling an ambulance before calling you, but–” “You did the right thing.” John nods. “No one should leave here, please. I don't want news spreading.” He walks into the house and the silence is so heavy on him. Even the house feels empty and eerie, like there is a strange p
