Kane stood silent, then stepped back and set the flowers down.
Kneeling on one knee, he reached into his coat and pulled out a bottle labeled "tears of the firebird." He brought out six cups, set them down, poured the drink into each, then lit incense. He clasped his hands together and prayed silently. After his prayer, he opened his eyes and looked down at the cups. "Papa, I am sorry. You stood valiantly with Uncle Paul and Runger; there wasnt anything I could help you do then." His voice was bitter, as he tried to bite back the pain that held his throat. "I have seen what they have turned your beautiful Karndor into; they have made it a playground of crime and corruption. The air doesn't feel like the calm mystic breeze that once covered us. The sins of the ruling power have dampened it, but I swear on my honor. I will make sure Order will be restored." He turned to the next cup. "Mother, I failed you. I couldnt protect them; I am sorry. There isnt a night I dont think of them." Kane clenched his fists; the air around him cracked as dark aura flowed from his body. "Mother, I promise you. I will make sure that those who had a hand in your death, I will rip their lives off the face of the earth." He turned to the next two cups, bowing his head as he thanked his uncles for helping them escape. With a heavy sigh, he slowly turned to the last two cups, about to speak when roaring engines broke his concentration. He looked back and saw a pack of motorcycles and one jeep coming toward him. They parked right outside the mansion. He counted nine motorcycles, two men on each. Ignoring them, he turned back to the little cups and continued his meditation. "Oi!" A voice cried out from behind him, but Kane didnt bother to stop what he was doing, knowing it was directed at him. "Who is this idiot? Doesn't he know that this property is under the name of the Vincents now?" The man continued, walking over to Kane, who seemed to be meditating. He held a shovel in his hand, hanging it on his shoulder. "Hey, don't you know we are speaking to you?" The man asked, but Kane didnt reply. His eyes turned to the lit cups and incense, and all he could imagine was something nasty. "You are mourning someone? Don't tell me you're one of those hopeless people who believed that the Black Family deserved to live..." Then the entire area filled with laughter, as if they were mocking him for it. "He is mourning a family that deserves to be killed on the spot; this man must be a fool!" Kane ignored them, though his anger seemed to boil. The man stopped laughing; he noticed Kane had completely ignored him and made it look like no one was there. He turned to the cups and incense, not even thinking for a second; he walked over and kicked them down. "Dont you hear, ya bum?" His voice had a sting of contempt, knowing he had managed to take down something. "You aren't meant to be here, so take your ass off this place before I remove you. Boss Kylian would be here soon, so the last thing I want to do is allow him to meet some bum where he is trying to walk." The man finished by spitting right into the last cup he had missed. That was the last straw; Kane turned his gaze to him. Slowly, he rose from the ground where he knelt, bowed, and looked this man in the eye. "Clean it up..." Those were the words that left his mouth. The man turned to look at Kane and saw a strange glint in his eyes. "Huh? Do you know who you're talking to? I can smack you in the head, and nothing will happen!" The man yelled. He smiled and waved his shovel around Kane's face, trying to intimidate him. Kane didn't flinch or react; his gaze was still on the man. "Clean it up." He spoke again, his eyes on the man. The man didn't know why this stranger was giving him orders, or what he planned. But then he turned to where Kane had placed the cups, not to pick them up. He walked over and kicked the last one away. "You see, I don't give a rat's ass what-" Before the man could finish talking, he felt his entire body go up, then was sent down to the hard concrete floor with such powerful force that it broke two of his ribs and fractured his face. "Ahhhh!" The man let out a bloodcurdling scream, while Kane put his foot over his face. The other seventeen men immediately pulled out their weapons, shovels, sledgehammers, and crowbars. They were ready to strike and kill Kane on the spot. "Hold on!" A voice echoed from right behind them; Kane even raised his head to see who it was. A man walked toward them with a cigar in his mouth, and four men stood at his sides. Kylian Stone, he was the boss of this site, a crook construction manager who spent his time womanizing and doing other things that made him dirt. "I see you have your leg on my worker; now, for your own safety and life, I would advise you to take it off before I let the others come for you," Kylian said to Kane, trying to get him to act accordingly. Kane didnt act like he saw the men standing there; he couldnt care less. "Tell him to clean up the mess he made, and pay respects to the dead," Kane said, his voice calm, his gaze as sharp as blades. Kylian heard him and suddenly burst out laughing. His laughter was mocking; as his eyes met Kane's, he could hardly keep it in. "Respects to the dead? You want my worker to pay respects to this worthless family? The Blacks? The ones who held Karndor back for all these years?!" Kylian continued laughing as his voice grew louder; he turned back to Kane. "Death was too good for the Blacks; they should have kept them alive and tortured them to death. Maybe not Sasha Black; that woman was endowed! I would have given up my riches to have myself between her legs." Kane's aura slowly began to twist the air around him as his gaze sharpened on Kylian. "Now, sonny boy, take your feet off my worker. So these men won't kill you off immediately. I have a party to attend." Kylian said, turning to walk away. Kane increased the force on his leg, crushing the man beneath his sole. "BOSS KYLIAN, HELP ME!" "BOSS KYLIAN HELP-'" Those were the man's last muffled screams before Kane crushed his skull with his feet. Kylian paused, sighed, and turned to look at Kane, who stood there with pure rage in his eyes. "You could have lived, but I see you chose death..." Kylian spoke, waving his hand. The seventeen men charged for Kane, all at once. Kane, who had been waiting for them to make a stupid move, closed his eyes and sighed. Almost like a blur, he held out his hand like a blade. Kane moved; using his hand, he slit open the throats of the men coming to attack him. Some he punched his hand through their chest; he plucked out most of their eyes. Screams of horror and pain filled the air. Kylian froze, stunned to see such a thing. All seventeen men were dead. Kane stood there with his right hand bloodied and his eyes in his left hand as he glared at him. Kylian swallowed hard and stepped back. The four men standing right beside him pulled out guns, pointing them at Kane. "Just...who do you think you are?!" Kylian asked, looking at the man standing before him. Kane waved his hand, wiping the blood away. He slowly looked at Kylian and his men. "Your judgment."Latest Chapter

~Devaran Springs Resort~ Four people were seen by the resort pool, enjoying themselves. Bradson Vincent, Phoebe Vincent, Timothy Vincent, and Elder Lucas were seen sitting there, celebrating with so much joy in their hearts. “I can't believe it's been twelve years already; I can still remember it like it was yesterday when it was announced that assassins killed them off.” Bradson laughed; he couldn't control himself as he fell to the floor, trying to get his head around it all. “Yeah, and the call came that something bad had happened to Lord Edgar; I was told to rush to his house. They didn't know I was one of the men who drove the blade into his chest.” Timothy laughed; he sounded ecstatic. “The man looked me in the eye; he was so disappointed in both of us. There wasn't a chance he would have believed that there was something that would convince us to change.” Their laughter filled the air. Phoebe sat with her legs crossed, looking down at the pool. “Poor Sasha, I know she

Russo tried to pull his arm from Kane’s grip, but the harder he pulled, the tighter Kane held on. “You said that I was an ant, and crushing me would mean something.” Kane spoke, looking him in the eye and making sure he couldn't get away. Russo stared at him, fear filling his mind with different images as Kane lifted his hand and kept staring. “Now, mighty warrior, let an ant show you that it can sting!” Kane roared and punched Russo in the face, sending the Elder crashing to the floor and leaving a crater. Everyone who had stayed back, believing the Elder and Keith Vincents would be enough to stop this man, was now in shock. Even Elder Russo, a cultivator who had earned praise for reaching a level of power few could attain, was shocked. Keith looked at Kane; his legs shook as he pushed a button. The alert went out to all the guards in the building: they were about to take down a monster, and they needed to avoid mistakes. “Calling for backup? I thought you were fearless?” K
Chapter 6
Kane slowly wiped blood off his shoe and looked at Russo and Keith. He hadn't come there to play games with them, and he didn't want to waste his time on anything like that. Everyone at the party had started making their way out of the hall, knowing that it was about to turn into a disaster zone. The guards knew better than to try to intervene; they were normal men, and fighting cultivators would be the end of them. No one who provoked an Elder of the conclave would get away with it. Not everyone left; some stayed back to see what would become of the silver-white-haired man who came to a place like this looking for trouble. “He is dead now. Elder Russo was said to have broken through and hit the Violet Rank; someone like him won't lose to him. I am sure that they aren't going to kill right away.” “Are you kidding? He just killed Daran Becker; they are going to make his life a living hell.” Kane kept his eyes on the men; he knew they were trying to scare him. Russo was the firs

Kane walked into the hall and saw all sorts of people. The wealthy men of Karndor were eager to prove they had something to show for it. His eyes moved around, as if he were looking at the showglass where his family's property was on display, and at how they held it up. It was heart-crushing to see his father's prized polearm, his mother's wyrm tiara, and the one that broke every nerve he had: his brother's bracelet. "Did you hear?" Two women were behind Kane, and their eyes fixed on the showglass. "Keith Vincent said he is going to be selling the polearm to Daran Becker and Hasashi Becker; they are here to take it." "The Beckers? They are pretty powerful, the only two cultivators who went into business." "Eh, I heard that they managed to break through to the Gold rank; that is basically superhuman already, and if they trained a bit harder, they might hit apprentice level. Giving them a good chance even to parry an elder." Kane heard all he needed to; they were planning on sel
Chapter 4
Kane stood over the dead body, looking at it, almost empty and void of any emotion that could get him anything other than the anger he felt within himself. "I see they pissed you off." The man in a white suit spoke up, looking at the piles of dead bodies. Kane stayed silent and turned to the soldiers who had come with him. "Damien, did they..." "They brought them, so you dont need to worry about it." The man in the white suit was Damien Matthews, Kane's second-in-command, or, as people called him, the Right Hand of Destruction. Kane turned to the warriors and bowed his head slightly. Then almost immediately, the warriors signaled the car. Other people brought down tombstones made of gold, decorated with diamonds and other rare stones. There were six; they lined them up behind the cups Kane had set up. The stones bore the names of all Kane's fallen family members. "Damien," Kane muttered, watching the workers set up the tombstones. "Yeah?" "How fast can you get me the loc
Chapter 3
Kane stood there, with his hands bloodied as he turned to look at the men who stood right beside Kylian. They had guns in their hands, ready to shoot. "I hope that now you have pulled your weapons out; you know how to use them?" Kane asked, as his eyes met theirs. Kylian shook as his eyes met Kane's, and all he felt was fear. The man standing before him seemed nothing like a normal person. The way he stared at him without showing any fear made it worse. Kane stepped forward, his eyes still on the man. Immediately, he took another step. "You have no idea who you are crossing paths with. Are you trying to hurt me? The Vincents are going to kill you if anything happens to me!!" Kylian yelled, trying to keep Kane from doing anything. "If you even think of hurting me, they will make sure that Elder Russo, the Blazing Meteor of the Conclave, will make sure that you get the most excruciating death. There will be nothing left of you, so I advise that you find another thing to do." K
