From the way Lucas was speaking, Cyrus felt as though Lucas looked down even on First-tier Star Warriors. It should be noted that Cyrus's father, the Lord of Velkyn Mansion, was also a First-tier Star Warrior and considered a powerful figure in all of Star City back on Earth.
No matter how Cyrus looked at it, Lucas's background had to be terrifying.
As they continued talking, Lucas suddenly realized that he had been speaking a lot with someone who had ruined the trap he had painstakingly set up.
His expression froze for a moment, then a sinister smile crept onto his face as he laughed and said, "Don't think that I have a good temper just because I'm talking nicely."
Lucas's overbearing words shocked Cyrus. It shook him to his core.
At that very moment, Lucas suddenly gritted his teeth and angrily smashed his fist into the ground. His face twisted with a frustrated expression as he snorted coldly: "Hmph! Speaking of which, I'm still furious. I put a lot of effort into setting up that trap to lure and kill my enemies. Just that Explosion Rune alone was enough to take down even Level 9 Second-tier Star Warriors! But you... you completely ruined everything. Most importantly, you, a mere Level 2 Third-tier Star Warrior actually survived. What a rotten luck!"
As Lucas spoke, he glared at Cyrus in resentment. He was extremely displeased.
Cyrus was at a loss whether to laugh or cry. He had already apologized, but it seemed Lucas was finding it hard to forget what happened before. Cyrus helplessly sighed.
"I was escaping from my enemies too. Well... they weren't my enemies at first, but they became one. I was running for my life from those people. How could I have known I'd stumble into your trap and nearly die from it? It's not like I enjoy burning myself and stepping on your trap for fun. I'm not tired of living yet. I was almost blown to pieces by the explosions, and I haven't complained, but you're still going on about it."
Lucas rolled his eyes and curled his lips. "Fine, I won't bring it up again. But you'll have to compensate me by helping with something."
Cyrus asked seriously, "What do you need me to do?"
Lucas stood up with an indifferent shrug. "I'm low on some materials to set the Explosion Rune again, so I had to change my plans. I am planning to set a different trap. For that, I need some materials from a certain Star Beast. That Star Beast is called Fire Origin Beast. If we can kill it, I'll obtain an important material to set up an inescapable net for my enemies."
An inescapable net?
Cyrus didn't think for long. He stood up right after, and said calmly: "Alright, I'll help you then."
Lucas suddenly waved his hand, glanced at Cyrus, and frowned: "Can you change your clothes? Why are you acting like a beggar, I can't stand it."
Cyrus was startled. He lowered his head and looked at his burned pants. His upper body was naked, as though he was a primitive man.
He then looked at Lucas who was facing him. Lucas was dressed in white and blue clothes. From head to toe, he appeared neat, tidy, and rich.
When he compared them, Cyrus instantly realized the difference between the two of them. It was simply a prince versus a beggar!
Cyrus spread out his hands and said with a wry smile. "I'm helpless. I don't have another set of clothes with me."
Lucas curled his lips. Then he fished out a new set of cyan-colored clothes from his backpack and gave it to Cyrus.
After Cyrus changed, the air around him seemed to have transformed. He looked like a completely different person. A noble aura was faintly emitted from him.
The two were about the same size, and Cyrus actually fit very well in Lucas's clothes.
"That's more like it." Lucas pinched his chin and looked at it carefully. After saying that, his face immediately looked much better.
So, following that, with Lucas's guidance, the two of them started to work together.
Lucas took out all sorts of items, causing Cyrus to feel dizzy just by looking at them. He sighed in his heart, 'Lucas truly is a tycoon. I've never seen a single one of these materials before.'
Lucas pulled out a ball of soft golden iron from within, intertwining together.
He then slowly took out two long pieces of wire and weaved them into a grid. As he weaved, he explained, "Look carefully, this is called Golden Iron Silk. Fire Origin Beast is a Star Beast born from fire. It has fire all over its body and can burn everything, so ordinary ropes cannot tie it up."
"Oh." Cyrus earnestly nodded his head, thinking inwardly about how magical this creature was.
Lucas continued weaving the Golden Iron Silk with focused precision, while Cyrus, squatting nearby, watched him intently.
Annoyed, Lucas snapped, "Don't just sit there staring at me! Pay attention to how I'm doing it, idiot!"
Feeling a bit embarrassed, Cyrus nodded quickly and without a word, he started imitating Lucas, trying to weave the net as instructed.
Time passed swiftly, and before they knew it, an entire day and night had gone by.
Under the shade of a large tree, two young men of similar age were fully engrossed in weaving a vast and intricate net. It was a brilliant piece of craftsmanship, designed to capture the elusive Fire Origin Beast.
A shaft of sunlight filtered through the swaying branches, illuminating their faces. The sunlight danced as the leaves moved, creating a dazzling effect, but neither Cyrus nor Lucas seemed to notice. Their focus was entirely on the task at hand. Their determination was reflected in their concentrated expressions.
In just one day, they had created four nets. Each one of them was five meters wide from each dimension. It was already extremely huge and had consumed a lot of golden Iron Silks.
As long as they created the last two, with the six nets in their hands, it would be impossible for the Fire Origin Beast to fly out even if it had wings.
During this time, Cyrus also understood how strong a Fire Origin Beast can be at its peak.
Sometime later, Cyrus hesitated before speaking out his heart: "Lucas, after we successfully capture the Fire Origin Beast, can you share a few parts of its body with me? I want to see how it tastes!"
Lucas's face was calm. He turned to Cyrus, stared into his eyes for a while, and said: "Let's talk after we catch it. What if we fail? It's useless to think about it just yet. Let's continue with our work first."
Although Cyrus didn't receive confirmation yet, he knew there was hope.
So Cyrus quietly continued to weave and weave and weave.
After a long time, he finally finished weaving the two Golden Iron Silk Nets.
Lucas indifferently folded the six webs and put them away, continuing his preparations for the next step.
Lucas began to instruct Cyrus to make more wooden cones, while he started to take out a stack of yellow paper followed by a vermillion brush and a jar of ink. Then, he started writing something on those papers.
When the ink dried, the runes on the yellow paper actually started to shine, as if there was a strange energy undulation emerging from the paper. It was extremely enigmatic and profound.
Cyrus was stunned once again, his mouth agape and his tongue tied, as he muttered: "What is this?"
Lucas casually said: "These are low-level runes. Inscribing them on these talisman papers makes them into a proper talisman. Adding these runes onto normal weapons can increase their power by several times. This is something that a beginner Rune Master must learn."
In the remaining moments, Lucas brought over a large pile of sharpened wooden thorns. He took out a set of yellow talisman papers, fusing his Star Energy into them. The papers instantly ignited, transforming into rays of light that merged with the wooden thorns.
As a result, the thorns glowed with a fierce red light, flickering with intense energy and radiating a palpable killing intent. Cyrus could feel the deadly aura, and it took all his effort to remain calm without being disturbed by the ominous feeling.
Lucas then called Cyrus over, and together they climbed onto the trees.
Carefully, they tied strings around the end of each thorn, connecting them all in a complex yet precise arrangement. With a simple pull of the strings, all the thorns would activate at once, raining down from all directions, converging on a single point. The result would be devastating.
Once everything was set, the trap was primed to release a lethal barrage, ready to take down their target in an instant.
Of course, this was not the end of the trap. There was still the most important step of setting up the bait.

"His ranking is still climbing! Just how far is this guy going to rise before it stops?""I'm not sure. Let's keep watching.""Fifteenth. He's now on the verge of entering the ranks of experts at Level 8 Blue Spirit Star Warrior.""How can that be? I can't help but wonder; does he truly possess such strength, or is something fishy going on?""I don't know, but cheating is highly improbable. You should know that the Golden Monument is a treasure left behind from the Age of Gods. There is no way someone could tamper with it. Not to mention him or us, even powerful Glorious Gold Star Warriors are unlikely capable of manipulating it!""Then how do you explain this? Look at him. He is clearly just a First-tier Star Warrior, yet he reached a ranking where only Level 8 Blue Spirit Star Warrior could possibly rank!""Who knows!"Everyone became nervous. Their eyes followed the name that was jumping slowly, their expressions seemingly in a daze.Behind them, under a big tree, stood two young m

"Top 200?"Wan sneered silently when he heard the crowd. As a Level 4 First-tier Star Warrior, he was able to rank 285th after erupting with all his strength. Cyrus was only a 1 First-tier Star Warrior. His name should not have even appeared on the Golden Monument, let alone rank in the Top 200.There must be something strange about his name not only appearing on the Golden Monument but also rising up constantly. While Wan was still sneering inwardly, to everyone's shock, Cyrus's name soon rose to rank 200 and was still rising upward, not showing any sign of stopping at all. Not long after that, his name crossed the 100th position as well."Top 100?""Oh my god, A Level 1 First-tier Star Warrior can actually rank in the top 100. How can this be true? My eyes must have gone blind. I'm seeing things."Everyone thought they'd gone crazy and were seeing things, not able to bring themselves to believe in their eyes.On the other hand, the Golden Monument kept flashing with a name constantl

Cyrus shifted his attention and saw three hundred names listed on the surface of the Golden Monument. The names belonged to young people who had the qualifications to participate in the Hidden Dragon Competition.Among these people, the weakest was a Level 1 First-tier Star Warrior."Are these the top ten?"Cyrus glanced at the top row of the Golden Monument. Ten names were written there in shiny golden characters. Almost everyone's eyes were fixed on them, full of respect.Cyrus curiously looked at the name ranked first. Dylan Lydall's name was purple gold. Among the 300 names, his name was the most dazzling. He was also a Level 9 Blue Spirit Star Warrior and the contestant who was most likely to win the championship.Cyrus frowned slightly and nodded. This Dylan was truly impressive. At only 28 years old, he had already reached the level of a Level 9 Blue Spirit Star Warrior. His talent was undeniable. To put this into perspective, his father, the Lord of Star City back on Earth, wa

At that moment, Cyrus understood that unless the mystery surrounding the crystal was uncovered, there would be no chance of him purchasing it from Marcus. But Cyrus wasn't ready to give up. As long as he could examine the crystal, the system might reveal its true nature and value to him. He knew he could not let go of this god-given opportunity. Although very low, there is indeed some probability of success.Determined, he asked again, "Then... can you at least let me see the crystal? I want to take a closer look."Marcus hesitated, his expression uncertain. Sensing this, Cyrus shook his head and spoke firmly, "If you want my help, you should at least show some sincerity. If you can't even let me see the crystal, why should I risk my life to help you?"What would he gain from helping them?Just a reward and a favor.Perhaps, Cyrus's background was so extraordinary that he didn't consider their favor worth anything at all."That crystal is with Chris. "What kind of place is Ten Thousand Abyss City?" Cyrus couldn’t help but ask.Marcus took a deep breath before replying, "I can only tell you that this city is extremely dangerous. The main reason is that it lies at the intersection of four regions of Light Wind Empire. One of these regions is our Green Wood Region.""The Hidden Dragon Competition isn't limited to the geniuses of the Green River Region in the Light Wind Empire; it's a contest among the brightest talents from all four regions, which is why it's held in Ten Thousand Abyss City.""As for why this city is so perilous, you'll know once you go there."Cyrus nodded thoughtfully. By now, he already knew that the Light Wind Empire had a total of four regions. Each region had hundreds of huge cities and towns. Aside from the Green Wood Region, there were the Red Flame Region, the Blue Water Region, and the Silver Thunder Region. There was a significant reason why each region was named after a color and an element. This was due

Cyrus was stunned, but he soon noticed aside from him no one else reacted. It was as if they were used to it.This was the truth.Marcus explained and Cyrus soon understood everything. It turned out that every red light appears from the card only when the participant is a First-tier Star Warrior. When the participant is a Blue Spirit Star Warrior, a very deep blue light would appear. Different colors represent different stages of cultivation. The light serves as proof of one's identity as a participant in the Hidden Dragon Competition. When the competition begins, the light will automatically activate at the checkpoint, granting the individual access to the competition stage."Alright, you can leave now."The old man waved his hand. Yusuf walked down the stage happily. His strength was neither high nor low."Next."Immediately, a young girl walked up from below. She was seventeen or eighteen years old. Her face was round, and her eyes were blinking, shining brightly. She was a beauty.
