Cyrus calmed his heart and said loudly, "Let's talk if you have something to say. I didn't ruin your traps on purpose. I can't possibly be courting death by stepping into your trap, right? It was all an accident!"

"Accident? I clearly saw you running into my trap directly. Do you think you can make an excuse, and I'll let you go?"

Cyrus frowned. He wanted to say that traps are meant to be hard to see, but this person clearly had a different opinion. It was pointless to argue, so Cyrus took a deep breath and responded, "Fine, believe what you want. But what do you plan to do now? Keep me here forever because of an 'accident'?"

Saying this, he leaped, stepping firmly on the ground. Then he lowered his body, gathered all his strength, and shot out like a bow released from its string. With lightning speed, he struck the young man's body!

"Bam!"

The young man was caught off guard, forced back a few steps. He was not a novice. Although he was forced retreat, he still reacted immediately and caught hold of Cyrus. Then, with surprising strength, he hurled Cyrus into the air.

Cyrus flew backward, crashing into a tree with a loud "bang".

He groaned in pain before struggling slowly to get back on his feet.

As he raised his head, his eyes fell on the roasted meat lying not far from him. The tempting aroma reached his nose again, but despite his hunger, he didn't move toward it.

Cyrus shuddered suddenly when he felt the sharp, piercing gaze of the young man. He knew he wasn't a match for him. He got desperate. In the end, he extended a hand and shouted, "Enough! I told you I didn't mean to step into your trap, so stop pushing me. Besides, I'm starving and don't have any strength left. Is it fair for you to mistreat me like this?"

The young man froze at Cyrus's words, then clenched his teeth, eyes cold. "Fine! Eat first. I'll beat you up after you fill your damn stomach!"

Cyrus was taken aback.

Did he hear it right? The other party was actually letting him eat!

He was momentarily stunned before he hurriedly expressed his gratitude, saying: "Thank you!"

Then, he impatiently walked towards the roasted meat. Then he tore off another leg of the wild boar before wolfing it down. His eyes were red, as if he had not eaten anything in years.

Well, in one sense, it was true though.

From the moment he was abandoned by his father, he never had meat in his meal even once before. All he had eaten was vegetation brought by his mother.

When the young man saw how Cyrus was eating, he held his forehead and sighed helplessly. He said: "Hey, slow down. You are acting as if someone is going to snatch the meat from you. No one will steal the roasted meat from you. Eat slowly and patiently."

Cyrus subconsciously held back a little and slowed down his chewing speed. However, compared to a normal person, he was still eating much faster.

After a long while, Cyrus alone finished two-thirds of the roasted boar. He was finally full. He patted his stomach and burped, feeling extremely satisfied.

"Are you full?" The young man glanced at him indifferently and began to twist his wrist, ready to beat him up.

Cyrus immediately laughed bitterly when he saw this. He said: "Brother, I have not digested all the food I have eaten, can you wait for me to rest first?"

"Humph!" The young man clenched his fist and gritted his teeth as he shouted, "Rest? There is no need for that. I'll help you digest everything real quick."

Saying that, he suddenly leaned forward, took large strides, and directly punched straight toward Cyrus's chest.

Cyrus hurriedly stood up, his fists clenched tightly as he met the young man's iron fists head-on.

"Bam!"

The impact of their clash sent powerful airwaves rippling outward.

Cyrus's strength was no match for the young man's. He was sent flying, his body crashing into the ground. Pain shot through his hands, and he could swear his fist bones had shattered. He screamed in pain and his whole body wracked with agony. The force of the blow churned his stomach, making him feel like he was about to vomit all the food he'd just eaten.

"Humph, I didn't expect your fist to be this strong. It actually didn't break. Come again!" The young man gathered strength, and then he stepped forward again.

Cyrus had no choice but to dodge his attack this time. He knew he could not afford to take a direct hit.

But he was still unable to dodge, for the young man appeared in front of Cyrus once again.

Another loud "boom" was heard, accompanied by the sound of bones breaking. The violent air current suddenly swept in all directions, completely sending Cyrus flying.

He fell to the ground, smashing the earth until it caved in.

"Arghhh!"

Cyrus clutched at his arm and screamed miserably as he rolled on the ground.

Fortunately, the young man no longer attacked him. Maybe he knew Cyrus had reached his limit, he sat down without saying anything. From his face, he seemed to be waiting for Cyrus to recover before beating him again.

After a long while, Cyrus stood up, and the young man also stood up.

Cyrus was ready to suffer again, but this time, the young man didn't attack. He just stared at Cyrus for a while before sighing.

The anger in his eyes faded. Finally, he curled his lips and said, "Although I didn't use Star Energy, my physical strength is no less than a Level 6 Third-tier Star Warrior. I thought my body was strong enough but never thought that you would be able to withstand my attacks. Forget it, I don't want to beat you anymore. If this continues, then I might accidentally cripple you."

Cyrus was finally relieved and felt some goodwill towards this youth. After all, though it was an accident, it is a fact that he offended this boy in the beginning by destroying his trap. And this youth still let him eat, treated him fairly, and did not launch a sneak attack.

He was thinking that if this young man threw out a few more of those terrifying bombs, he may have been finished.

"Thank you for your understanding. I apologize for accidentally destroying your trap." Cyrus smiled, and asked curiously: "I wonder what your name is, and why would you be here alone?"

"Tch!" The young man waved his hand with disdain: "You don't need to know why I'm here. I'm called Lucas, what's your name?"

Cyrus said indifferently: "My name is Cyrus, Cyrus Velkyn."

"Oh." Lucas casually replied before he sat on the ground and picked up the wooden thorns that had not been sharpened, continuing to polish them leisurely.

Curiosity flashed in Cyrus's eyes. He was unable to guess where Lucas came from.

However, he had a good impression of Lucas. In his eyes, Lucas can speak boldly and frankly. This kind of person was carefree and open, obviously not some evil villain.

Moreover, he was also filled with curiosity about those terrifying objects that could overturn a piece of land by exploding. On earth, other than real bombs and some technological devices, he had never heard of a weapon being able to achieve such an effect.

Therefore, he took the initiative to express his goodwill. He smiled and sat in front of Lucas. A bright light could be seen flashing in his eyes as he questioned: "Lucas, earlier, what kind of weapon did you use to lay down that trap? That was too scary!"

Lucas didn't even raise his head as he continued to grind the wood. He curled his lips and said, "Even if I told you this, you wouldn't understand. After all, you are just a Level 2 Third-tier Star Warrior."

"But I'll still tell you that trap's name. It was called Explosion Runes."

Cyrus was startled for a moment, and then he laughed bitterly with an ignorant face: "Runes? I have never heard of it before. What is it?"

"There are many professions in our world. Weapon Refiner, Pill Refiner, and Formation Master are three of those professions. The rarest among them all is Rune Master. Let's not talk about it in detail!" Lucas still did not raise his head and explained indifferently.

Cyrus no longer asked about the Rune Master profession. He shifted to his main goal and tried to get to know some information about this world.

After talking to Lucas for a while, the ignorant Cyrus comes to know a few things.

It turns out that this world is called Ecaz. Unlike Earth, Planet Ecaz is still in the initial stage of development in terms of science and technology. However, when it comes to Star Warriors and cultivation, Planet Ecaz far surpassed Earth.

It is no wonder why Cyrus didn't see anything related to science and technology till now.

"Top 200?"Wan sneered silently when he heard the crowd. As a Level 4 First-tier Star Warrior, he was able to rank 285th after erupting with all his strength. His name should not have even appeared on the Golden Monument, let alone rank in the Top 200.There must be something strange about his name not only appearing on the Golden Monument but also rising up constantly. While Wan was still sneering inwardly, to everyone's shock, Cyrus's name soon rose to rank 200 and was still rising upward, not showing any sign of stopping at all. Not long after that, his name crossed the 100th position as well."Top 100?""Oh my god, A Level 1 First-tier Star Warrior can actually rank in the top 100. How can this be true? Cyrus shifted his attention and saw three hundred names listed on the surface of the Golden Monument. The names belonged to young people who had the qualifications to participate in the Hidden Dragon Competition.Among these people, the weakest was a Level 1 First-tier Star Warrior."Are these the top ten?"Cyrus glanced at the top row of the Golden Monument. Ten names were written there in shiny golden characters. Almost everyone's eyes were fixed on them, full of respect.Cyrus curiously looked at the name ranked first. Dylan Lydall's name was purple gold. Among the 300 names, his name was the most dazzling. He was also a Level 9 Blue Spirit Star Warrior and the contestant who was most likely to win the championship.Cyrus frowned slightly and nodded. This Dylan was truly impressive. At only 28 years old, he had already reached the level of a Level 9 Blue Spirit Star Warrior. His talent was undeniable. To put this into perspective, his father, the Lord of Star City back on Earth, wa

At that moment, Cyrus understood that unless the mystery surrounding the crystal was uncovered, there would be no chance of him purchasing it from Marcus. But Cyrus wasn't ready to give up. As long as he could examine the crystal, the system might reveal its true nature and value to him. He knew he could not let go of this god-given opportunity. Although very low, there is indeed some probability of success.Determined, he asked again, "Then... can you at least let me see the crystal? I want to take a closer look."Marcus hesitated, his expression uncertain. Sensing this, Cyrus shook his head and spoke firmly, "If you want my help, you should at least show some sincerity. If you can't even let me see the crystal, why should I risk my life to help you?"What would he gain from helping them?Just a reward and a favor.Perhaps, Cyrus's background was so extraordinary that he didn't consider their favor worth anything at all."That crystal is with Chris. "What kind of place is Ten Thousand Abyss City?" Cyrus couldn’t help but ask.Marcus took a deep breath before replying, "I can only tell you that this city is extremely dangerous. One of these regions is our Green Wood Region.""The Hidden Dragon Competition isn't limited to the geniuses of the Green River Region in the Light Wind Empire; it's a contest among the brightest talents from all four regions, which is why it's held in Ten Thousand Abyss City.""As for why this city is so perilous, you'll know once you go there."Cyrus nodded thoughtfully. By now, he already knew that the Light Wind Empire had a total of four regions. Each region had hundreds of huge cities and towns. Aside from the Green Wood Region, there were the Red Flame Region, the Blue Water Region, and the Silver Thunder Region. There was a significant reason why each region was named after a color and an element. This was due
