As Charles Brown said to Anastasia Waverly, the reason Reid Arison didn't come to the office even though he had an important meeting was because he was taking care of his sick wife.

After several days of being treated in hospital, the doctor allowed Elena to go home. Apart from experiencing a miscarriage, Elena suffered an injury to her left arm. Luckily her arm didn't break any bones, so her arm didn't need to be put in a cast.

Even so, the doctor said that Elena's movements over the next two weeks will definitely be limited, so as much as possible someone should help Elena in carrying out daily activities that require movement of the left arm.
