The man standing right before him was the steward of his family and also the best friend of his father.

However he wasn't treated like an outsider but more like an insider and after the death of his father, he has taken over to becoming a father figure.

"Is that how you are going to treat an old man? After seven years?" Inquired Cain with a friendly frown.

Riley hugged Cain tightly. Their high stayed for quite a while before it eventually broke off.

Finally, Riley stretched his head to say the words that had been lingering in his mind for quite a while now.

"But what are you doing here Uncle Cain?" He inquired, still stretching his head and acting lost.

"Don't get me wrong Uncle Cain. It's not like I am not happy to see you. It's just."

Uncle Cain knew exactly what Riley was talking about. He was one of the famous heirs of the large family, the Blade family with their place high at the top, certainly not in the city.

If the wealth of everyone in the city was put together. It was certainly not going to come close to the Blade family that was holding their place as one of the top three runners of the world economy.

This was the family in which Riley found himself. However, seven years ago, just after the death of his parents, he was informed that he would have to begin something called poverty training.

This was put in place because of the mistakes of one of the past heirs who almost whipped out the legacies of the family.

When he was set off for his training, he had thought that it was going to take at most a year or maybe two but had eventually welled up into three years.

"I have to admit that the Blades were every bit cruel." He admitted. "Sometimes I wonder why they hated your family so much when he was only helping..." He paused, staring at young Riley.

"I don't think that this is a story that you should be told just yet. Until you are ready for it." He added with a smile.

Riley sighed. He had thought that Uncle Cain was going to be telling him the truth about his parent's death today but it turned out that there would be nothing like that.

"Uncle Cain, I believe that I have seen enough already of the world. Why do you still refuse to tell me the only thing that I have always sought to know?" Riley inquired with all the pains laced in his eyes.

Cain almost chuckled. He wasn't just the longest and the closest person to his father but he was also someone that was close to Riley.

"I believe that I know why you think so. But I am not sure that you have seen a lot of the world." Cain said.

'Huh!' Riley thought confused. 'Even  after all this experience? I have still not seen a lot of the world? What then is there for me to see?' His mind was littered.

"For the things that you need to know at the moment." Cain quickly changed the topic to what he wanted to tell his young master at the moment.

"First of all. Before the death of your father, he wanted you to fulfill a quest. When I feel that you are ready enough to accomplish his life's aim, I will tell you what happened to your parents." He revealed.

Riley could feel his voice going up the hills the moments he spoke. However, he quickly snapped back his gaze and turned around towards him.

"The money that you will be getting from your poverty scheme, your father wants you to build it into a mega empire. One that can compete with the Blade's group." He said.

Riley's jaw almost sunk deep into the floor as he muttered the words once again.

"The Blade's group? The group that controls almost one-third of the world's economy." His eyes were bulging.

"Your father almost did it. Now that baton will be falling on you." Riley was still so lost in his daze that he didn't notice the sign that proceeded from the middle-aged man.

After a few moments had passed, he clenched his teeth, with passing determination in his eyes.

"I have always been determined to find out the cause of my parent's death. If this is what I have to do, then failing isn't an option."

Cain could almost feel the hot tears steaming through his eyes as he stared at the young man that was before him.

"You are just like your father."

Before he finished these words, he pulled a card from his pockets and handed it over to him

The card had been made out of a rare gem. One that made Riley always want to feel it again and again.

His eyes moved towards Riley with a twitch as he went ahead to explain these words once again

"That's for your living expenses. One hundred billion or so." He explained.

"I will schedule a meeting with the CEO of First Republic City Bank to confirm your assets sit and reach out to you once I am done." He noted.

However, the rest of the words have drowned away from Riley's hearings as he had been snapped into  a Daze.

Riley was stunned once again. He knew that his family was powerful but never thought that they would have such an amount of wealth.

If this was just for his living expenses, how much richer was he going to be?

Riley drew a deep breath once again. It was already running late and time for him to run the asset himself.

"I should return now." He appreciated it.

"Thank you very much for everything that you have done." He said, making Cain's face tilt a little bit with a smile.

"You don't have to thank me, young master. For which I am doing my job already.  Why don't we get into the car while I drop you off already." He muttered.

Riley wanted to object. He already had friends in school who treated him for the human that he was. If they were to discover his identity as the billionaire prince, what were they going to think of him?

He knew the life of being rich. Someone who had never experienced it would want to flaunt it already.

But for him who already knew the kind of life that it was, that wasn't something that he would want for himself.

Riley turned around towards Cain and said.

"Uncle Cain, I don't think that there would be any need for you to stress yourself out. I will be able to head out by myself."

Cain frowned almost in an instant. He could not imagine these words.

"Do you think that I am too old for you to tag along with?" He inquired with a sad look on his face.

"No! That's not it Uncle Cain!" He quickly muttered, already feeling guilty but the look on his face didn't change.

After being raised by the old man, it wasn't anything new that he wasn't going to daze until he fulfilled his wish.

"Okay, Uncle Cain. However, I wouldn't want my friends to see me so you can always stop by just by my dorm?" He requested.

"Sure," Cain replied, now smiling.

He walked forward and soon opened the door for his young master to step in.

While they rode, Riley could see that the party was already getting close and his eyes suddenly became dim.

Uncle Cain who was also in the back seat with him noticed this.

"That reminds me. I was at the party earlier. Why weren't you there?" He inquired.

"Huh?" Riley turned around slowly, sounding extremely confused.

"How did you know that there was a party and you were there?"

"Cause I was the one that organized the party silly. Well, there is no need for me to hide it anymore anyway. When I heard that you had finally gotten a girlfriend,  I did my investigations and also found out that the Blade family knows nothing about these.

All these while, I have been feeling very guilty about not being able to help you. So I was secretly helping her and her family. Though not that much. And when I heard that you would be organizing a party,  I made arrangements so that there would be twice the amount of things that would have been used." He explained.

"So that's the reason I was surprised when you weren't around. But some scum talking trash about you."

Riley was lost in thoughts. So the help that she thought that she had been getting from Dennis had always been from him? How ironic isn't it?

Soon, they were at the dorm and after waving goodbye, he Walked into his room. Surprisingly, his three friends were not around.

Seeing this, Riley's stomach rumbled. It was already late so he decided to get a meal outside, getting some too for his room.

However, while he walked, a lady was walking too fast up ahead and they bumped into each other..

The food that had been packaged for him spilled on her white clothes and turned it oily and dirty.

For a while, Riley was snapped into a daze. After a while, he grabbed a tissue to help her but the beautiful lady snapped off his hands.

“What have you done?” She thundered angrily.

Her clothes were completely ruined and no amount of tissue whips were going to help it out.

“Do you realize how much I got this for?” She glared at him.

“I'm very sorry.” Riley apologized.

He knew that she would not be able to walk around in such clothes.

“Maybe we could head to a shop to get you a new one?” He brought out his card genuinely wishing to help.

The lady stared at his help needing clothes and the frown on her face deepened.

“Pervert.” She snared.

“So you think that I am going to fall for that little trick of yours? Or do you think that you can really afford my dress?

Thank you stars that I am in a hurry.” She blotted, brushing him off and walking away.

Riley sighed.

“I could have been able to get a stadium out of it.” He whispered to himself, returning to his hostel and almost forgetting about the incident.

After having such a long day, he soon went off to bed with a smile on his face thinking about the fortune that he had acquired.

Soon enough, Riley fell asleep alone to be awoken by the sound of three persons walking right into the room.

"Just take a look at that Innocent face and handsome face of his. I wonder why anyone will break up with such a person for that scumbag called Dennis." He could feel Freddy's snapping voice.

"I think that we should teach her a good lesson that she isn't going to forget in the long run." He added to his words.

"I think so too but don't you think that would be too rash? Just think about Dennis's family. They would be able to squeeze out the liquid from our bodies in one go."

"And who says that we are going to let them find out about it." A sinister smile hovered on Fred's face.

"Guys quote it. You are going to wake him up after his heartbreak. Is that really what you guys want?"

There was a sudden silence after which a low whisper came from Karl once again circling the other two friends.

"However, I think that it's a good idea. What's the plan?" He inquired.

Riley's sleepy face almost parted into a warm smile upon hearing these words.

"So his friends were planning to play a public prank on Ema?"

Hearing this, Riley only frowned deeper, his anger rising. Gina had expected him to immediately kneel, plead, and realize his grave mistake. Instead, Riley stepped forward boldly, closing the distance between them.“So, you are not even an employee here? Your father is?” he said calmly, his voice carrying across the silent lobby.Everyone gasped. Whispers erupted instantly. “Is he crazy?” one employee muttered. “Doesn’t he need his job?” Another added, “With this, he’s already gone.”Gina couldn’t believe her ears. She scoffed loudly, her face contorting in fury. “Are you really saying this? Ugh! You just looked down on me!”Riley shook his head. “This isn’t looking down on you. It’s just a simple fact. You are not an employee, your father is and yet you are bullying someone who’s just trying to do her job. How can you be such a brat?”Gina’s anger exploded. “Watch what you say!” she shouted, raising her hand high to smack Riley across the face. But he caught her wrist effortlessly mi

Riley stopped on his track and watched the situation properly, his eyes narrowing as the scene unfolded in the grand lobby of Vortex Enterprises. The air was thick with tension. Employees lingered nearby, pretending to check their phones or shuffle papers, but no one dared intervene. Mira, stood with her head bowed, clutching a mop tightly in her trembling hands. Her uniform was slightly damp from whatever liquid had spilled during the collision.“I’m sorry,” Mira whispered, her voice barely audible. “I will wash the clothes for you and clean them properly. Please, it was an accident.”Gina, the sharply dressed young woman in designer heels and a pristine white blouse now bearing a faint stain, let out a mocking laugh. “Wash it? Do you know how much this costs, you pathetic little bitch? Washing won’t fix anything. You could never afford to replace it even if you worked here for ten years. So get on your knees and apologize properly. That's the only way you can get out of this.”Mi

Mr. Erold and Orelan frowned, unable to fathom what was going on. How could Mr. Trey bow to Riley and even call him boss?Meanwhile, Riley smiled and asked, “Have they signed it?”.Mr. Trey nodded. “Yes, boss… they have signed it.”Orelan was the first to speak out. “What the hell is happening? Why are you bowing to him and calling him master? Did you mistake him for someone else?” Mr. Erold chimed in, “Yes, Mr. Trey, what’s going on here?”Mr. Trey then faced them and gave them a proper explanation. “Young Master Riley here is my boss, and you have fallen into our perfect trap. He was the one behind me, the one who gave me money to invest in you, and he even made sure you were exposed the very day you looked up on, so everyone could see how horrible you are.”Mr. Erold scoffed, unable to believe this. “So, you’re here telling me that Riley, this schoolboy, was the one behind the 400 million dollars?”Trey nodded. “Yes. He is the one. He paid it in full.”Orleans frowned and mumbled,

Mr. Erold tried to deny it immediately.“That proves nothing!” he shouted, his voice cracking badly now. “She edited it. She fabricated everything. This woman is trying to ruin me!”But Jetty was already prepared for that.Without flinching, she opened another file on her phone, then another, then another. One recording after the other. Some were audio, some were videos. Every single one carried the same thing, Mr. Erold’s voice, his threats, and worst of all, his repeated attempts to force himself on her, sexually assaulting her. The hall went dead silent as another clip played. Gasps kept breaking through the hall. This was enough to charge him to prison. “Oh my God…”“So she really built it…”“He stole everything from her…”“He even assaulted her?”“What kind of monster is this?”Mr. Erold’s lips trembled. He opened his mouth again to deny it, but the words wouldn’t come out properly anymore. He could only stand there mumbling nonsense under his breath while the room turned on

Jetty swallowed. She knew exactly why the watch was failing. She had built it herself. She knew every limitation, every blind spot, every unfinished flaw in that system. And she had only ever revealed that weakness to one person, which was the anonymous contact. Which meant the person texting her now was most likely behind this entire sabotage. They had deliberately forced the watch into its weak point to expose Erold publicly. Her lips slowly curled. This was her moment.Just then, one of the state senators shot to his feet, his face thunderous as he pointed straight at Mr. Erold.“You told us this was a breakthrough!” he barked. “You made the government endorse this launch. You invited foreign guests to witness it. Investors came here because of your promise. And now you stand here embarrassing all of us with this rubbish?”Mr. Erold looked like he was about to collapse.“N-No, sir, please,” he stammered, clutching the microphone tightly. “I would never have invited all of you if I w
