The End Of Spring

"Hey Trash, how's your mom and dad?"

They always ask me this: Do I even deserve this kind of treatment when I have nothing to rely on in this pathetic, pointless world?

My mom named me Gareth because I gently got out of her stomach when she gave birth to me, and my last name is Wells, which means spring, gentle spring. Isn't it beautiful?

However, all I experienced in this life was nothing but pain, depression, anxiety, and the truth of life. My mom died when I was 6, and my dad's now disabled, and I'm being bullied at my school just because of my background and for being a loner.

"Hey Trash, how's your pops doing right now? Shouldn't you be nursing him?"

Just as he knows what's happening to me, Christian Murphy, who is known as a tyrant in our class for being a bully and having a family with great connections with the government and known businessmen since his father is a politician. blonde hair, slim body, ugly face, and a rotten personality.

"He's fine without me; you don't need to bother about it, Christian."

I clinched my fist and pathetically trying to calm myself down, even though it hurts me. Since then, what can I do? I'm just the son of a nobody family.

*SLAP* "Hey? That's not the answer that I wanted to hear!"

While he's looking down on me, I can't do anything but shiver in fear and ask,

"Why are you like this Christian? I didn't do anything that could offend you, I just want to go to school and graduate peacefully."

*SLAP* "So what? That isn't what I wanted, you lowly dog!"

I'm slowly going to hell; my mind's blank, and I want this to stop! Christian spits at my head like I'm not a person but a shithead.

I saw Angela running into us and confronting Christian, although I doubt she can do a thing to stop this misery. She has blue eyes like the scenery of the beautiful ocean, pink lips without any lipstick like the, and a curvy body with white hair.

"Shouldn't you stop now, Christian? You're crossing the line!"

How can this girl say that? Even if she has a good family with a politician's father, why would you even help me? A good-for-nothing?

"Tsk, what a lucky fella. See you, loser!"

Who's the loser here, really? Someone who depends on their family or people who work hard? You're just born lucky, and you envy me, right? ugly, thick face!

"Let's go to the clinic, Gareth, so we can clean your bruises and that spit."

Look at this angel! What a goddess!

"I'm fine; just let me take a nap."

What have I done in this life to be treated like this? I asked myself multiple times every day, but no answer seemed to surface.

"Dad, I'm home; did you already eat?"

"No, I was waiting for you, son. Come, let's eat together."

My safest place is only my home; seeing my dad smile while eating fills me with joy and relieves me of stress.

"Dad, I'm going to go to work; see you later!"

"Take care, son." Don't worry about me; just focus. I'm sorry for burdening you with this responsibility."

"Don't worry, dad, after I graduate, we will leave this stuffy room and buy a house. Make sure you sleep early, dad!"

I'm currently working in an internet cafe; I earn a lot for a student, while I'm enjoying myself while playing some games. I'm also an errand boy since they pay me well to buy or cook something for them.

I saw Christian and his friend named Gerald entering the internet cafe; although he didn't see me, I doubt they know I'm working here.

Gerald's also well known as a bully, although he's not like Christian, who had a good background.

"Hey! I'm quite pissed at Gareth; how come he's so stingy when we ask about his family?" He crackles like it wasn't a very serious matter.

"Why else? Who would ask someone about their family situation sarcastically? Haha"

"I'm just asking; you know, I liked being like this!" They both crackled. How cruel.

Look at these bastards talking about someone who isn't on their level; how about you try and do something good just for once?

"Well, who might this be? Isn't it Gareth?" He laugh. "Destiny really is forcing us to meet."

"Hello, what can I do for you, Christian? Want to rent a seat?"

"Ha!! Come follow me outside; I have a gift for you."

I followed him out of fear; if I didn't, I don't know what would happen to me. As I saw him stop in the alley next to the place I'm working, I instinctively tried to run, but it was too late; Gerald had already held my shirt, and I saw Christian trying to pick up the brick on the floor.

"Hey you dipshit! How could you cling to and depend on Angela? Aren't you embarrassed? You little shit!!"

He kept on throwing punches at me, but I would rather not do anything to fan the flame. I just want this to end; just let me work in peace!

When I was about to fall down, Gerald kicked me in the back and spit on me. My sight was blurry, and my mind was going blank.

Oh, Lord, please help this poor soul. My face is already covered in blood; my face is full of bruises. It's hard to speak, but I forced myself to.

"Christian, please stop. It's getting hard to breathe! Aren't you satisfied yet? I'm at my limit, and I don't know if I can still"

"Hey, I decide when to stop, and what happens to you doesn't concern me! Just rot in hell and tell Satan I said hello!"

Gerald smirks like they were just joking, and as he continues to beat me, the smile on their faces disgusts me! How could a human do this?

As I saw him stretch his arm while holding a brick to hit me, my life flashed before my eyes, and I saw my dead mother crying and my dad holding me.
