Second baby

"Sorry? If you say a simple word of sorry, would the hurt you gave my daughter's heart be lessened? How could one word be enough to relieve my daughter's suffering, huh?" Caesar did not budge with his words of pleas and asked back.

The neighbor is not in a position to think of anything at this moment. His hearing was already lost and was on the verge of losing consciousness.

Looking at his struggle, Caesar's heart felt a sense of satisfaction.

How dare this man speak such ill words about his lovely daughter? This is the punishment for anyone who spoke a word against his daughter.

The hate he had towards the man continued increasing as he recalled all the words the man just spoke.

'Kill Hearthe? Burn her? Throw her ashes in the toilet?'

Every word came back to his mind and his blood continued to boil with anger.

He couldn't hold himself and he forwarded his hand to hold his neighbor's neck himself.

The vines naturally gave way for Caesar's hand over his neck and Caesar's hand squeezed the life out of his neighbor in a single attempt.

Just like that.. A single squeeze, and a life is gone.

Finding that his movements had stopped and his pulse lost, Caesar released him. His neighbor's now dead body easily fell to the ground with his eyes wide open and tongue stuck to the heavily fertilized soil.

Caesar lowered his eyes and looked at his dead body with disgust. He turned away and went back into the green garden that his adorable daughter had prepared just for his sake, not wanting to look at his face any longer.

Hearthe understood her Father's feelings and crawled towards the dead body that was lying there lifelessly.

She crawled over his body twice.

His body instantly melted and turned into a gooey mess and in a few more seconds everything dissolved into the soil like a mass of freshly made fertilizer.

As soon as his body vanished, Hearthe felt a warm light and crawled in the direction with her eyes brightened.

By the time she reached the spot, her Father was already standing in front of the monster tree with his eyes equally bright.

The warm light was emanating from the monster tree as it started growing taller in front of their eyes.

After Hearthe played around the backyard for a while and used her powers, all the plants, trees and vines grew but the monster tree was the only one that never changed an inch.

Only now did they see a change in the tree.

While the tree continued growing, the father- daughter duo stood patiently watching it; as if they were waiting for something to happen.

Of course, just like they had expected, a bud was formed and it started blooming under their expectant gazes.

As the flower bloomed, a small tail came out of the petals and swinged horizontally a couple of times.

Before the completion of its birth, one could already say that the new arrival is a very active and naughty creature.

Caesar's smile widened awaiting the new naughty arrival. Looks like their house is going to be livelier with this fellow.

A patch of brown fur then came into their view. Caesar turned his head to look at Hearthe, who was also a shade of brown.

But Hearthe was brighter with a shade of red mud while the new arrival had a lighter shade like caramel.

With Hearthe's slimy body, her color looked glazed and brighter while the new arrivals dry fur made its color look shinier and silkier.

They each had their own merits and Caesar loved them both equally without wanting to compare the duo any further.

After waiting for a few more seconds, the new baby monster gained some energy to come out of the bud.

It made a few noises before raising its head and before either Caesar or Hearthe could catch a glimpse of its face, its figure jumped and landed on Caesar's shoulder perfectly as if it just performed a circus act.

A couple of happy noises could be heard from Caesar's shoulder as the newborn started jumping on his shoulder happily.

It was only Caesar and Hearthe that were scared that he would fall down and injure himself. But the one in issue did not care in the least as he continued jumping around both of Caesar's shoulders as if he was jumping from one side of the river to the other side.

With all his movements and noises, Caesar was still unable to take a glimpse of what his new son looked like.

But Hearthe, who was on the ground, had a clear vision of her little brother. Looking at her new monster sibling who resembled a monkey, she started crawling around Caesar happily as if she was celebrating his welcome into their lives.
