Mrs. Hayes narrowed her eyes at the young man standing by the warm fire. She took a highly aggressive step forward.

"Are you a filthy street dog working for the Black Tiger Crew?" Mrs. Hayes demanded. Her voice dripped with sharp suspicion and pure venom.

Ethan rose slowly from the hot fire basin. He did not show any urgency or panic at all.

"I told you I do not treat gunshot wounds," Ethan repeated. His tone was completely flat and totally indifferent.

He glanced briefly at the severely injured young woman bleeding on the floor.

"I do not want any trouble in my mother's memorial hall," Ethan added. His face remained a perfectly blank mask.

"Anyone using heavy firearms in this city is not ordinary. Take your violent conflicts outside," Ethan instructed. He turned his attention back to the burning paper.

Victoria Harlow studied him carefully for three full seconds. She tried desperately to read his hidden thoughts.

She found absolutely nothing in his dark and quiet eyes.

"We are leaving right now," Victoria stated. She gripped her bleeding shoulder tightly in pure pain.

They turned toward the wooden entrance and froze completely in their tracks.

A massive stream of men in black suits poured rapidly through the doorway. Every single one carried a heavy loaded gun.

They wore wicked smiles that belonged to predators hunting weak and helpless prey.

"Where are you going so fast, little frightened puppies?" Brother Dante mocked. The heavily scarred man stood at the very front of the dangerous pack.

"None of my loyal dogs would ever miss their chance with Victoria tonight," Brother Dante announced. His ugly face twisted into a highly arrogant sneer.

"She is the greatest beautiful prize of the Chicago underworld," Brother Dante added. He licked his dry lips with pure malicious intent.

The armed men around him laughed loudly. They licked their lips exactly like starving hounds staring at a juicy bone.

Victoria and Mrs. Hayes exchanged a completely hopeless look. They understood instantly that death tonight would be incredibly slow and extremely brutal.

Mrs. Hayes turned back to Ethan in sheer overwhelming panic.

"I will give you a lifetime of extreme wealth and absolute comfort if you contact the Harlow family," Mrs. Hayes promised. Her voice shook with sudden pathetic desperation.

Ethan reached slowly into his dark pocket and pulled out his cracked phone. He looked down at the completely black screen.

"My battery is completely dead," Ethan observed. His tone showed absolute zero concern for the highly deadly situation.

He walked slowly to a dusty corner of the room to plug the device into the wall outlet.

The Black Tiger Crew men erupted into massive explosive laughter. They found this casual action funnier than anything in the entire world.

"Look at this stupid stray dog wandering around aimlessly," Brother Dante chuckled. His loud voice echoed wildly in the small enclosed room.

Mrs. Hayes became so furious she nearly spit fresh blood onto the wooden floor.

"Are you entirely brainless you useless mutt?" Mrs. Hayes screamed. Her chest heaved up and down in pure unhinged raging fury.

Victoria barely kept herself from screaming out loud. She watched him plug in the phone with utter total disbelief.

A nervous subordinate leaned in closely and whispered quietly into Brother Dante's ear.

"This stray mutt has seen all our faces clearly," the subordinate reported. His eyes darted nervously around the quiet and dim clinic.

"Bring the heavy gasoline inside right now," Brother Dante ordered. He waved his hand with absolute nasty and cruel authority.

"We will burn this worthless doghouse and everything inside it when we are completely done," Brother Dante declared. A sickening and wicked smile spread across his deeply scarred face.

Mrs. Hayes gritted her perfectly white teeth together extremely tightly.

"They plan to kill you like a sick rabid animal and burn your home to the ground," Mrs. Hayes hissed. Her face flushed with deep absolute terror and extreme anger.

Ethan finished plugging in his old worn phone. He turned around slowly and walked directly toward the crowded doorway.

He frowned slightly at the large group of heavily armed men.

"Go fight out on the public street. It is much more spacious out there," Ethan suggested. His voice was completely calm and totally relaxed.

"Do not cause a massive bloody mess in here," Ethan commanded. His facial expression showed mild annoyance instead of sheer terror.

The loud explosive laughter that followed his simple request was incredibly genuine. The dangerous thugs clutched their stomachs in pure vicious amusement.

"This total idiot barks exactly like a brave little Chihuahua," Brother Dante howled. Hot tears of evil joy formed in his cold cruel eyes.

"He thinks he is a big bad wolf but he is just a pathetic obedient puppy," another thug mocked. He pointed a large gun directly at Ethan's chest.

Ethan waited patiently for the loud noise to finally die down completely.

"Is your vice crew leader named Chad Bennett?" Ethan asked. His tone was highly casual like he was simply discussing the morning weather.

"Was he at a ridiculous dog birthday party last night?" Ethan questioned. He tilted his head slightly to the left side.

The loud obnoxious laughter stopped instantly. The entire small room went completely and totally absolutely silent.

"Yes he is," Brother Dante confirmed. A highly suspicious and very careful smirk replaced his previous wide grin.

Chad Bennett was the legendary highly feared Black Crown Prince of Chicago. He was the only powerful son of crew boss Henry Bennett.

Henry Bennett commanded thirty thousand extremely loyal followers. He held the terrifying violent reputation of an absolute underground emperor.

Even his pet dog's ridiculous birthday party drew the most elite wealthy people in the massive city.

Ethan nodded his head once in quiet complete understanding.

"I have changed my mind," Ethan announced. He turned his attention back to the bleeding young woman standing nearby.

"I will treat your severe wound and get rid of these filthy animals for you," Ethan offered. His eyes locked directly onto Victoria's pale sweaty face.

"But you will need to pay me a lot of extra money for the absolute trouble," Ethan demanded. His voice was incredibly firm and completely serious.

The small enclosed room erupted once again. The Black Tiger Crew men laughed until they could barely breathe air.

"He actually thinks he can bite us," a huge thug laughed loudly. He slapped his knee in pure unadulterated joy.

Mrs. Hayes looked away quickly. Her wrinkled face showed an expression of pure unadulterated contempt and deep disgust.

Victoria stood completely frozen and entirely utterly confused. A strange bright thought flickered intensely behind her beautiful dark eyes.

This young man had shown absolutely no physical reaction to her famous incredible beauty. He showed absolute zero fear of the heavy loaded guns pointed right at his head.

He displayed no readable human emotion whatsoever from the very dramatic beginning.

"Why did you suddenly change your mind?" Victoria asked. Her voice trembled slightly with genuine deep burning curiosity.

"Because Chad Bennett really pissed me off last night," Ethan replied. His dark mysterious eyes turned incredibly cold and incredibly sharp.

Brother Dante raised his heavy lethal gun while laughing a highly cruel and totally wicked laugh.

"Die you stupid arrogant street mutt," Brother Dante shouted. He pulled the metal trigger without any single hesitation.

Ethan flicked his long fingers quickly without even looking at the armed violent man.

A tiny glowing silver needle flew rapidly through the open air in a brilliant fast flash. It completely deflected the fast deadly bullet midair.

The sharp needle continued its incredible path directly into the palm holding the heavy weapon.

The silver metal detonated Brother Dante's hand completely from the very inside out.

A horrific and incredibly agonizing scream instantly replaced the loud obnoxious laughter. Warm red blood splattered wildly across the pure white walls.

His loyal evil men went totally rigid in absolute pure shock and deep terror.

Mrs. Hayes let her mouth fall completely open in sheer absolute disbelief.

Victoria felt her racing heart skip a massive beat. Her bright beautiful eyes lit up with something incredibly close to complete triumph.

She was entirely right about him all along.

The deep composure he displayed was never just cold pure indifference.

It was the complete stillness of someone who simply had absolutely no reason to be afraid.

Victor Sr. nodded. He walked slowly to the center of the hall, his frail legs steady despite the exhaustion carved into every line of his face. He stopped in front of Ronald and looked down at him with the quiet, terrible authority of a man who had built everything in this room from nothing and was now watching parts of it try to tear themselves apart."Ronald," Victor Sr. said. His voice was slow and deliberate, each word placed like a stone being laid into a wall. "You are stripped of all corporate positions within the Harlow family business, effective immediately."Ronald's face went white."Your family dividend shares are confiscated," Victor Sr. continued. "Every asset tied to your name within the Harlow holdings is now frozen."Ronald's body began to shake."You are expelled from this estate permanently," Victor Sr. said. "You may no longer claim the Harlow name. You may no longer identify yourself as a member of this family. From this moment forward, you are nothing to us."Ron

Her voice was steady and sharp enough to cut glass. "You called him stubborn. You called him selfish. You said his life was worth less than your comfort. And now you are on your knees crying like beaten dogs begging for scraps."Mrs. Hayes folded her arms and looked at Ronald specifically."You stood in the middle of this hall and led the charge," Mrs. Hayes said. "You told everyone to throw Victor Sr. to the wolves. You called Ethan delusional. You said

Barrels leveled at heads and chests and anything that moved.Master Frank's figure flickered. He did not move the way normal men moved. He did not run or lunge or charge. No sound. No cry. Just a body folding to the ground like a puppet whose strings had been cut. The second fell a fraction of a second later. Then the third. Then the fourth. His eyes were wild and spit flew from his lips. "I am a foreign dignitary. I represent the Watanabe Pharmaceutical Group on the international stage. If I die on American soil, it will cause a diplomatic crisis between two nations. You will bring consequences down on this entire city that no one can control."He was backing away as he spoke, his polished shoes sliding across the marble, and then his hand found Henry Bennett's shoulder. He grabbed the bigger man and

Henry's grin was completely gone. In its place was the raw, animal terror of a man watching a door close that he cannot reach. He threw himself forward and dropped to his knees in front of Master Frank, grabbing at the hem of the grandmaster's torn coat."Master Frank, please," Henry begged. His voice cracked and his eyes filled with desperate tears. "My son Chad. They killed my son. You have to avenge him. I brought you here to avenge my boy. Please."Master Frank stopped and looked down at the man kneeling at his feet."What was your son's name?" Master Frank asked."Chad," Henry said eagerly. "Chad Bennett. He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery. I can take you there after this is over. You can pay your respects and then...""Chad Bennett dared to offend the Human Tower Master," Master Frank said.
