Chapter 2 : Sailing on The Ocean

A woman with long hair wanders across the middle of the garden. The woman's face was made even more beautiful by the wind blowing her hair. She put the tomatoes that her harvest into the basket one by one. A young boy is chasing a butterfly with a homemade trap. His steps leave traces between mulberry and tomatoes plats.

"Will you please stop running, Honey? You'll fall."

He ignored what's heis mom saying. A younger woman opened a the door that led straight into their small yard. It's Samantha, her sister-in-law. Yes, the small yard was theirs and was planted with all kinds of fruit and vegetables.

"Your husband will go sailing, Bella. You should meet him."

Isabella nooded.

"Sam, let's see your daddy!"

Sam turned his head.

He dashed into the home ahead of his mother.

"You should take a break. You know you'rte pregnant and you'll give birth your baby soon. Just let me harvest the vegetables."

"It's all right. I still can do that. Don't worry."

A few people in this densely also have a yard, but not all of them want to plated like them. People with more land like to construct more structures that can be used as shops or rented out as a blacksmith's shop.

Ninety percentv of the population in this are is a fisherman, with the remainder working as fish collectors, sellers, or royal employees. And one of the persons who works as a fisherman is Isabella's husband, William Smith. When you hear the phrase "fisherman," you might assume that he owns a boat. But not for Will, he didn't even have a ship.

Renting a ship was the only way he could go sailing. Lordships would rent out their boats to fishing groups. The typical group size is four to six members. It does not mention the tools that were used. They had to either bring their fishing gear or pay twice as much to rent it. If the fisherman chose to rent both, they will make a small profit.

Will uses his skills to create a variety of iron-based fishing gear to save money. He also assembles fishing rods, reels, fishing line, hooks, and one of some baits or baits such as shrimp and artificial fish with the help of his four companions. Will was not interested in making various types of combat equipment such as swords and spears, even though he could. Aside from the meager pay, he had to expend a lot of energy.

Isabella threw back the curtains, and her husband was seen putting his clothing away. Isabelle greeted him with a smile and an embrace from behind. Isabelle had to lean down a little because of her large stomach.

Will turned around and kissed the hands of his wife. Isabella's stomach was rubbed by him. Slowly feel the fetus in her stomach kick. Isabella and Will were giddy with delight.

"Promise me, you'll get back asap," said Isabelle.

"Sure. I'll be home a little earlier than normal time. I can't wait to see our little baby for the first time."

Will's hand remained placed against Isabella's stomach. He drew his face in closer. Isabelle locked her gaze on Will.

Their faces are becoming more and more closer...

Closer ...

Closer ...

"Daddy!"

They both leaped out of their skin in amazement. Sam hugged his father as he running from the door. Will knelt, leveling himself with Sam, even though Sam was slightly taller.

"Take care of your mom and your little sister, or maybe brother."

"I'll take care of them, Dad. Don't worry!"

"Good boy!"

Sam hugged Will once more. Then he leave from the room. Will smile at Isabella when they saw Sam, who was nowhere to be seen. Will took Isabella's body in his arms and hugged her once more. He passionately kissing her lips. Until the cradle of love on the bed comes to an end.

Will and Isabella both wearing their clothes. They made their way to the port where Mr. Tucker's rented ship would arrive. Gill, Jackson, and Kurt were already present. If Warner had gone, the five of them should have gone, but his wife stated he was sick, so only the four of them could go this time. Gill untied the leash at the dock after boarding the boat. Samantha, Isabelle, and Sam said their goodbyes with a wave. Will returned their waves. The worry grew as the boat drifted further away from the coast. I'm not sure, as if there was something major he was frightened of happening.

They had not caught much fish in five days after the cruise. Even bad weather might wreak havoc on the situation. Kurt sat in the boat, his brow furrowed. Gill sat next to him, munching on the bread and dry fish they'd brought. With the help of Will, Jackson repairs a broken net.

"So, how should we proceed? We only have two days until docking," Kurt tried to start a discussion, "But we're not getting enough fish."

"So, what's next? Should we add another day?" Jackson wondered.

Will was concerned when he heard Jackson's statements.

"I agree. Besides, I don't want to return home empty-handed," Gill explained.

"I am can't. I'm going to put the mesh knitter down."

Everyone's gaze was drawn to him. Jackson abruptly put down his knitting, and Gill put down his fork.

"What do you mean? Hey, are you blind?" Kurt inquired, his tone irritated. "We haven't even reached half of our goal!"

"I can't stay away from Isabelle for very long! She'll be giving birth any day now!" Will echoed this sentiment.

"Then why did you go sailing in the first time? Why didn't you just stay at home?"

"That's enough! Let's vote," Gill sought to mediate with them. "Will this journey continue or will it end?"

"Of course!" Kurt asserted himself.

Will fixed his gaze on Gill.

"I'm all in."

Will sighed in disappointment after hearing Gill's comments. Jackson's only hope is now. Since then, he had remained mute, his hands still knitting the net while he listened to their discourse.

"How about you, Jack?" Kurt inquired.

Jackson put down his knitting needles. Will hoped he could go back in time and said "no."

"I am so sorry, Will. I need money for my mother," Jackson stated categorically.

Will inhaled deeply once more. He had lost his ability to speak. Kurt patted Will on the back with a smile. They must, nevertheless, remain together. In the middle of this infinite ocean, there was no one except them.

"Sorry, Will. I hope your baby can wait or, at the very least, she is born with safely."

Kurt walked away from Will and into another room.

Their voyage period was extended by the arrangement. The ship's condition deteriorated as a result of rain and storms, and it became increasingly vulnerable. They'll have to put forth a lot more effort. Because their work entails not only collecting fish but also fixing storm-damaged ship sections.

A thick fog obscured the view as we approached Polta De Galda Island. Will and Kurt worked together to set up the net as Gill turned on the boat's lights. A ship approached Jackson, who was driving. He couldn't see clearly because of the dense fog. The closer and clearer the ship gets, the better. Jackson's eyes widened, his heart pounding. His hands trembled as he gripped the steering wheel, his tongue was numb, and he couldn't speak.

He couldn't believe his eyes!
