Chapter 2:

Chapter Two:

"I'm sorry... What are you sorry for? You betrayed me." He spoke in pain. "I loved you, Emma... but... why did you do this to me?"

Emma Carter stood before him and said, "I wasn't the only one who lied to you, Jackson. You also told me you worked for a good company, and now you're just a delivery boy."

"I've been working hard in two jobs, what's the difference now? Does my job give you the right to betray me?"

"You don't meet my needs, Jack, and I won't justify what I did. It was my choice and desire."

Tears welled up in his eyes. "I... I love you, Emma."

Emma Carter threw divorce papers in his face and said while looking into his eyes, "The papers are done now, and you can leave, Jack."

"Please, Emma, give me a chance. Everything will be fine, everything will get better tomorrow."

"Tomorrow is my 25th birthday, and I'll be twenty-five. Everything will get better."

"Then leave, Jack. There's nothing between us anymore."

Edward approached her in front of Jackson and whispered in her ear, kissing her, "Let's continue what we started, my dear Emma."

Under Jackson's watchful eyes, Edward undressed and removed the cover from Emma, but Emma said, "You can leave or watch."

Edward carried her and placed her on the bed, and Jackson's heart broke. He left the room, almost stumbling, and when he reached the hall where Victoria was.

"I think my surprises pleased you, Jackson. This is your place now, and you are just miserable and dirty, your wife is cheating on you with a richer and more powerful man." Victoria scoffed.

Jackson remained silent as everyone around him whispered and laughed loudly.

Victoria continued, "You are really a poor man, but how do you think that the businesswoman Emma thinks of a poor man like you? Her marriage to you was a big mistake."

He was about to leave when Victoria grabbed his hand. "Wait! We haven't paid you for the cake. What do you think, you should stay here and celebrate your loss?"

"Has Emma been cheating on me for a long time? Did she do this before? When, and was it on our bed?"

He bombarded her with questions, almost bursting from the thoughts and doubts that occupied his mind. He felt how cheap his wife was and regretted ever loving her. He swore to take revenge on everyone.

Victoria laughed and then said, "You have to leave and don't show your face here again, or else I will deal with you in a way you can't imagine, and maybe the guards will throw you out like trash."

Victoria laughed and then said, "You must leave, and don't show me your face again, or I will deal with you in a way you can't imagine, and maybe the guards will throw you out like trash."

Jackson couldn't find the words to respond, and he remained silent, holding the divorce papers. He felt numb and detached from the world around him. His wife's words and actions had left him shattered, and he couldn't believe that their relationship had ended so suddenly, with no chance of reconciliation.

He looked at the divorce papers that had been thrown in his face and felt a sense of finality and loss engulfing him. He couldn't help but blame himself for everything that had happened. If he had been honest with his wife about his situation, perhaps things would have turned out differently.

As he walked down the street, lost in his thoughts, he heard his phone ringing. Initially, he didn't want to answer it, and he wasn't in the mood to receive more bad news. However, something deep inside him urged him to answer the call.

"Hello?" he answered reluctantly.

"Mr. Young man! Your grandfather informed me that he contacted you. $100,000,000 has been deposited into your account, and tomorrow your exile period will end. Your family is coming to retrieve you," the voice on the other end inquired.

He checked his phone; he had indeed received the amount in his account, and everything was starting to fall back into place. Jackson responded with a hint of astonishment, "Tomorrow, I will turn twenty-five."

Jackson's mind returned to his old life in the palace and prestigious companies, where he was a rising star before he was suddenly exiled. He had always wondered when he would return.

The voice on the phone continued, "Mr. Young man! Your exile period has ended, and your companies are ready to welcome you back with open arms. We need you, Jackson - you are the heir to our companies, and we cannot do without you."

The Harrison family owned a fortune estimated in the tens of billions of dollars, so wealthy that they held significant stakes in numerous major companies worldwide, ranging from banks, oil companies, technology, and real estate.

Their opulent lifestyle included luxurious mansions in the most affluent cities globally, such as Beverly Hills and Monaco. They owned private yachts that competed in opulence and design. They possessed rare and custom-made supercars and had an exquisite collection of artwork.

Jackson's heart raced when he heard these words.

"We will send a delegation to your location tomorrow to fetch you and bring you back to our headquarters. You will love what we have done with the place. Trust me."

Jackson could do nothing but smile when he heard these words. Perhaps he could finally put his past behind him, start anew, and make things right this time. He spoke with determination, "The heir has returned. I'm back."

Not only were their assets stored in global banks, but they had diverse investments across various industries. They owned a chain of luxurious hotels worldwide, in addition to international restaurants offering the finest cuisine and service.

Jackson Harrison would live a life of luxury and prestige, where he could have anything he desired.
