"Sir," Lucien hurriedly called the moment Julian stepped out of the hotel.

"Mr. Brown," Julian turned around to meet Lucien who was now panting as though he had just run a marathon.

"First, I would like to apologize again for what happened back there, it was as a result of my poor management," Lucien bowed slightly, apologizing to Julian.

"Nah, it's all fine, I don't really hold it against you," Julian answered, shaking his head.

Lucien breathed in a sigh of relief hearing Julian's words. It was as though he had just been granted amnesty when he heard that. That was just too awesome and he didn't even know what to say.

"How's your father, has he woken up?" Julian suddenly asked, pulling Lucien out of his thoughts.

"He hasn't woken up yet when I left the hospital," Lucien replied, his face going red in embarrassment remembering how he had treated Julian.

"He'll wake up soon, you should head back and have a look," Julian chuckled and turned around to leave.

There was no need to stay here any more. He had a lot to do, so he couldn't say anything and started talking to Lucien.

"Remember to tell your father not to engage in any strenuous activity just yet," Julian chuckled as he left.

"Don't worry, he'll understand once you tell him that," Julian added, his figure disappearing into the distance.

Lucien sighed and watched as Julian walked away. At first, he wanted to stop the latter and invite him for maybe lunch or something.

But after thinking about it, he realized there was no need for that. Julian has given him a lot of face by not taking what had happened at the hospital into account.

If he tried to invite him over for lunch or anything, his intentions might be misinterpreted, and that was the last thing he wanted.

To have a problem with Julian.

"If fate permits, then, we'll meet again," Lucien sighed and turned around walking back into the bank, his eyes radiating with a cold light.

It was time to teach that fool, Jude a lesson. He just couldn't understand why he didn't try to verify the situation first before taking action.

Julian on the other hand seemed very happy as he whistled. Now, he has finally divorced his cheating wife.

Not only that, he had one billion.

What was he going to do with it? He had never had such a large amount of money before , so he felt a little bit confused and just didn't know what to do with it.

He would have to settle down and think clearly about it. Now that he had the money and the skills, it would be nice if he had a clinic, but at the same time it was dangerous.

It wouldn't be easy to get the certifications and all. Besides, he had always dreamt of having a business, so now was the best time to pick.

And if he was going to pick, he was going to have to think well about it. He couldn't rush it.

"Jump down!"

"Yes, we won't leave here until you either jump down or have paid all of our salaries!"

"You deceptive woman, you'd either go to Hades yourself or we'll send you there with our hands!"

A loud yell flowed into Julian's ears, forcing him to stop in his tracks.

Looking around, he noticed a crowd, gathered not too far from him pointing and yelling at a figure who was standing on the top of a building looking like she wanted to commit suicide.

And not only did the crowd not even try to stop her, they yelled angrily at the figure, stating they would kill her themselves if she didn't jump.

Julian frowned slightly and moved closer to watch the scene before the police arrived.

Getting closer, his expression changed slightly as he saw who it was.

Wasn't that the CEO of Flow&Glow, a popular sink care company in Silverlake.

Though the company was just a small company, it had been on the rise recently and Julian would buy Lyra's monthly Sink care from them.

The CEO was a young capable woman, yet, she was standing on the roof wanting to end her life.

And her crowds were not even trying to make matters better. They were yelling at her to either kill herself or they would kill her.

"Bro, what's happening here?" Julian tapped one of the onlookers as he asked.

"Don't you know," The onlooker replied, staring at Julian like he was some kind of Alien for not knowing what was happening.

"That woman's company's skin care products are not good at all. Most of the customers who used her products have their skins either burnt, or now suffer some kind of skin allergy all because of her latest product," The man explained.

"And because of that, her company suffered losses. As a result, she was not able to pay both her employees and also couldn't compensate those that suffered due to her products,"

"Her company is already bankrupt, and banks are already on her neck,"

"So she has three options, either pay off everyone, or go to jail, or kill and send herself to the underworld."

"And it's obvious which she chose," The man explained, making Julian's face dark.

"You'd better jump now, else I'll come and push you off myself!" Someone from the crowd yelled and the others nodded in agreement stating they would push her off.

"No I can't let this happen," Julian muttered, shaking his head.

Though he didn't know the CEO personally, with the way she was, he was sure something must have gone wrong.

Thinking like this, he dashed into the building and headed straight to the roof, hoping to reach before she jumped as it looked like she was about to jump.

Soon, Julian arrived at the top.

Getting there, he saw the lady who was already at the far end, preparing to Jump.

"No, don't!" Julian roared and dashed towards the lady, jumping in an attempt to catch the lady who had already jumped off the building.

  • I own this place

Julian drove the car out of Brittany’s family compound without saying much. The quiet hum of the engine filled the air between them as the gate slowly closed behind the vehicle. Unlike most of the times Brittany had seen him arrive, this time Julian had come alone and had chosen to drive himself. The car he brought was not one of the imposing luxury vehicles that often turned heads on the street. It was a modest salon car that blended easily with ordinary traffic, the sort of vehicle most people would barely look at twice.Brittany noticed it earlier but had said nothing. Now she sat in the passenger seat, occasionally glancing sideways at him. The night breeze drifted through the slightly lowered window, carrying the distant sounds of the city settling into its evening rhythm.“So,” she said after a few minutes, unable to suppress her curiosity any longer, “where exactly are we going?”Julian did not answer immediately. One hand rested calmly on the steering wheel while the other ta

  • Unusual attachments

Julian walked out of the house but Brittany ran after him and stoped him, slowly she was becoming fully dependent on him. “Julian wait,” she called after him and he waited a bit. “You have done a lot for not just me but my family too, yet you don’t accept any form of gratitude at all. Who are you really?” Her eyes were bright with gratitude and her lips trembled slightly. “I just do what I have to do,” Julian had equally grown a soft spot for Brittany so he found himself interfering with matters concerning her and her family just to see her happy.”No, you don’t know what you have just done for my aunt, if your prescription is accurate, you’d have restored decorum in my family as well as my aunt’s confidence.” As she spoke, her eyes glistened with unshed tears, her voice a little thick with emotions.Julian sighed, he wanted to continue the conversation but he didn’t feel her home was the best place for it. “Join me for a ride.” Julian said, his dominantly present confidence never

When Julian told the cab driver his destination, he didn't argue."Who is paying please?" The driver was polite but he had seen people like Julian several times, they claimed to hire cabs to sophisticated destinations just to feel among. To him, Julian looked to poorly dressed to afford a ride, he could have easily taken a rickshaw but he didn't openly berate Julian yet."I have entered your vehicle alone, how then are you asking me that?" Julian was a bit confused. "I thought you have been asked to show up at the location by someone and are hoping on payment from them since you decided to take a cab." The man looked at Julian again through the rear view mirror and concluded that he wasn't all that at all but the confidence that Julian exuded was the reason he was still being polite with him."I am going there in my own. I am paying my bill myself." Julian had decided to take a cab because he didn't have physical cash on him to take a rickshaw. It was not as though he was proud and t

  • This is it

Morning light filtered through the tall glass panels of the city hospital, casting long reflections across the polished floors. The atmosphere inside was tightly controlled, yet charged with anticipation. Security personnel monitored every entrance, and hospital staff moved with unusual precision. Word had spread far beyond medical circles. What had begun as a rumor was now an event.Julian entered the primary consultation wing without ceremony. His white coat was immaculate, sleeves resting neatly at his wrists. There was no theatrical presence in his stride, no attempt to amplify the tension that already hung in the air. Lucien walked half a step behind him, reviewing the schedule one final time.“All one hundred are confirmed and pre-screened,” Lucien said quietly. “Their case files are loaded into the system, but I assume you won’t need them.”Julian’s gaze remained forward. “Open the first room.”The first patient was a middle-aged man accompanied by two younger relatives who car
