Chapter 1
Betrayed
"Hey! Move your Rickshaw! It's blocking the damn road!"
"Beeeep!"
A loud yell came, followed by the loud honking of the cars on the busy road.
"Sorry, everyone, I'll move it right away," a handsome young man, drenched in sweat, apologized as he moved hurriedly towards the Rickshaw, pushing it away from the road.
"Sorry for the discomfort everyone," The young man, Julian, smiled at the crowd and gave a slight bow.
But the crowd didn't care; everyone just continued their business.
"I should head home now, my wife should be back," Julian muttered, wiping away his sweat.
He had just finished his main work and decided to run some errands.
Though it was tiring in the bustling city, it was all for his wife. Besides, it still earned him some extra bucks.
Getting into the Rickshaw, Jillian started it and drove away slowly while humming away slowly.
Lost in his thoughts about getting entangled in his wife's embrace once more.
She had gone on a business trip and was supposed to be back today. He was already running late and was sure she would have returned.
The thought of this made Julian smile even wider as he accelerated, wanting to get home as soon as he could.
A few minutes later, Julian pulled up to his neighborhood and soon arrived at his apartment.
Just as he got to the front, he noticed a Mercedes-Benz parked before his apartment, blocking the spot where he usually parked his Rickshaw.
"Who the hell owns the car?" Julian muttered, a frown spread lightly across his face seeing the car, at the same time stopped a distance from the car.
"I'll find the owner later, I can't keep my wife waiting," Julian shook his head, refraining from getting annoyed, and alighted from his Rickshaw, rushing towards his apartment.
"Hey stop there!" Two bulky men suddenly stepped forward and blocked Julian's path as he was about to rush into his apartment.
"And you are?" Julian froze on his track, sounding rather impatient as he stared at the men blocking him.
"That's none of your business," The men scoffed, glaring at Julian disdain written all over it.
"All we know is that you can't go in?"
"Huh?" Julian froze hearing this.
"I can't go into my apartment?" He muttered, staring at the men in disbelief.
"Now that you've heard it, get lost," One of the men scowled, glaring at Julian.
"I don't understand, why can't I get into my apartment?" Julian frowned, still looking confused.
"That's because our boss is busy inside, now step away you punk!" The man answered, shoving Julian away rather roughly.
Julian staggered backwards and nearly fell before he was able to regain balance.
"Why did you say I can't go in?!" Julian suddenly lost it and yelled rushing towards the men.
"This is my fucking apartment! What right do you have to stop me!" Julian continued, trying to get past the men, but they held him firmly, pushing him back.
"And what the heck is the commotion all about," A lazy voice came, and a shirtless man walked out of his apartment. Besides him being a lady, scantily dressed.
"Lyra?" Julian called, his eyes widened in horror seeing the lady.
"Julian you're back, I didn't expect you to be this early," The lady answered flatly without remorse.
"But..but... You said you were going for...for a business trip..." Julian stuttered, his eyes opening wide, his body shook as he still couldn't comprehend what was happening.
"Going for a business trip?" Lyra mused as she burst out into laughter.
"You really are stupid, aren't you, Julian?"
"Your dear wife was never on a business trip," The man beside Lyra burst out into laughter and grabbed Lyra's waist, kissing her passionately.
"She has been with me all along, and has been obediently giving me everything you rarely get to enjoy," He mocked, grabbing Lyra closer, slapping her ass.
"Lyra..Lyra..." Julian stuttered, his eyes red as he struggled to hold back the tears threatening to fall off.
"But...but I've always loved you...." Julian stammered, still fighting back to hold his tears.
"I even worked menial jobs outside my regular job just to be able to provide for you..."
"I've always provided for you...."
"So?" Lyra challenged, raising her brows as she stared at Julian, eyes held disgust.
“Love?” Lyra continued, slipping into Logan’s arms.
“What can love buy? A handbag? A diamond ring? Look at you, Julian. Sweating like a rickshaw puller. You think I’d waste my life on this?”
"But..."
"Enough of that..." Lyra snapped,
"You disgust me Julian. ,Do you really think someone like me could be with you?"
"I thought you were a provider, I thought you were destined for great things, but here you are, sweating like a beggar."
"Let me tell yo,u Julian ,we are not from the same world. There's no possibility between the two of us," Lyra scowled, ruthlessness flashed in her eyes.
At the moment, Julian felt as though his world was crumbling. The one person he was working so hard for didn't even appreciate his effort.
Taking in a deep breath, and spoke, his tone resolute
"Let's get a divorce,"
"I'll send your copy tomorrow for you to sign," Julian added and turned around, preparing to leave. There was no use staying here anyway.
"Boy, your wife is good, I've never seen someone as skilled as her," Logan taunted as Julian walked away.
"Don't worry, I'll definitely handle her well and make sure I..."
"I'll kill you!" Julian couldn't take it anymore and exploded rushing towards Logan.
But just as he turned around, the two guards held him firmly and Logan's cold voice came.
"Break his limbs, I want to see what he would do once he loses a limb,"
"Yes sir!" The man nodded and the next thing that was heard was Julian's screams.
"Isn't he going to die!"
"Don't worry, even if he dies, nothing will happen."
"Alright, let's go in, I'm not done enjoying you..."
These were the last words Julian heard from the adulterous couple before the pain of his limbs being broken and the beating from the guards knocked him out cold.
But no one noticed as all this happened, Julian's blood dropped on the necklace he was wearing and it turned into a white stream of light disappearing into his body.

The Reign Of Medical Sovereign I own this place
Julian drove the car out of Brittany’s family compound without saying much. The quiet hum of the engine filled the air between them as the gate slowly closed behind the vehicle. Unlike most of the times Brittany had seen him arrive, this time Julian had come alone and had chosen to drive himself. The car he brought was not one of the imposing luxury vehicles that often turned heads on the street. It was a modest salon car that blended easily with ordinary traffic, the sort of vehicle most people would barely look at twice.Brittany noticed it earlier but had said nothing. Now she sat in the passenger seat, occasionally glancing sideways at him. The night breeze drifted through the slightly lowered window, carrying the distant sounds of the city settling into its evening rhythm.“So,” she said after a few minutes, unable to suppress her curiosity any longer, “where exactly are we going?”Julian did not answer immediately. One hand rested calmly on the steering wheel while the other ta

The Reign Of Medical Sovereign Unusual attachments
Julian walked out of the house but Brittany ran after him and stoped him, slowly she was becoming fully dependent on him. “Julian wait,” she called after him and he waited a bit. “You have done a lot for not just me but my family too, yet you don’t accept any form of gratitude at all. Who are you really?” Her eyes were bright with gratitude and her lips trembled slightly. “I just do what I have to do,” Julian had equally grown a soft spot for Brittany so he found himself interfering with matters concerning her and her family just to see her happy.”No, you don’t know what you have just done for my aunt, if your prescription is accurate, you’d have restored decorum in my family as well as my aunt’s confidence.” As she spoke, her eyes glistened with unshed tears, her voice a little thick with emotions.Julian sighed, he wanted to continue the conversation but he didn’t feel her home was the best place for it. “Join me for a ride.” Julian said, his dominantly present confidence never

The Reign Of Medical Sovereign Double entendre
When Julian told the cab driver his destination, he didn't argue."Who is paying please?" The driver was polite but he had seen people like Julian several times, they claimed to hire cabs to sophisticated destinations just to feel among. To him, Julian looked to poorly dressed to afford a ride, he could have easily taken a rickshaw but he didn't openly berate Julian yet."I have entered your vehicle alone, how then are you asking me that?" Julian was a bit confused. "I thought you have been asked to show up at the location by someone and are hoping on payment from them since you decided to take a cab." The man looked at Julian again through the rear view mirror and concluded that he wasn't all that at all but the confidence that Julian exuded was the reason he was still being polite with him."I am going there in my own. I am paying my bill myself." Julian had decided to take a cab because he didn't have physical cash on him to take a rickshaw. It was not as though he was proud and t

The Reign Of Medical Sovereign He is who he says he is
The manager immediately frowned in response to the complaint he received. He looked at Julian from head to toe and indeed he did look like those people that had often come to just feel among and price houses wen in reality they had no money to pay. As the manager of the place, he had seen several cases like this and handed them over to the security. Most often just apologized and left but Julian seemed to be hard headed. "My presence wouldn't change the company's policy young man. I advice you don't cause any more trouble and leave quietly." The manager wasn't rude but he was stern in his decision. "You haven't heard from me why I have come yet you have judged me based on the words of your staff." Julian maintained his composure and steeze and something about how calm and calculated he was piqued the manager's interest. "Tell me what business do I have with you. I don't recall meeting you before now." The manager thought that maybe Julian came to apply for a job or was someone he
