COULD IT BE THAT I WAS WRONG?

In the midst of the busy and bustling city streets of Fairview, a delivery scooter could be seen weaving in and out of traffic, its rider determined to make his deliveries on time.

The delivery scooter's engine roared loudly as it accelerated, the rider expertly navigating through the sea of cars and pedestrians.

The rider finally arrived at his intended location, a posh and luxurious hotel known as the "Hotel De Glamour". He carefully dismounted from his scooter, mindful not to harm the valuable package he held tightly in his grasp. The majestic architecture of the hotel impressed him as he walked towards the reception area, filling him with an overwhelming sense of wonder.

As he approached the front desk, he announced his purpose, "Good day. I have a scheduled delivery to make. I need to drop off a package at the designated location."

The receptionist, who exuded an air of sophistication responded, "Welcome to Hotel De Glamour sir. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I need to confirm your appointment before allowing access. Do you have any documentation or confirmation details?

"Of course, here's the delivery order and confirmation email." The rider spoke up.

The receptionist replied, "Perfect. Let me verify this information for you. Please bear with me for a moment." As she spoke, she began typing on her computer.

"No problem at all. Take your time." The rider spoke as he waited.

After a minute, the receptionist finally spoke up, "Thank you for waiting sir. Everything seems to be in order. You may proceed to room 23. It's located upstairs on the right wing."

"Great! Thank you for your assistance." The rider spoke as he made his way to the designated room. Upon arriving, he lightly knocked on the door. A young man, with only a towel opened the door after a pause.

"Here's your package sir," The delivery man spoke.

With the door opened, his focus shifted towards a young woman inside the hotel room. Though she appeared somewhat recognizable, he couldn't identify her precisely due to the distance between them.

The young man, who was wearing nothing but a towel, received the package and then called out to the woman who was in the room. "Sweetheart, the package has arrived." he exclaimed, prompting her to approach the door.

"I'm coming," The young woman spoke excitedly.

As she neared the entrance of the hotel room, an unusual occurrence took place. It appeared as though time paused momentarily. The delivery man's gaze remained fixed on the woman, and his countenance shifted from enthusiasm and happiness for arriving on time to fury. Meanwhile, the woman displayed a look of astonishment, shame, and bewilderment.

With a stutter, she inquired, "Wh.. what...what are you doing here?" Clearly caught off guard by the delivery man's unexpected appearance.

It was quite apparent from the tone in which she spoke that the woman was quite familiar with the delivery man who had just arrived. Meanwhile the young man clad in towel had a sly smile on his face. It was as if everything was going according to his plan.

The young man's smile appeared to hold a deeper meaning, implying that he had something up his sleeve. His eyes, fixed on the delivery man, gleamed with a mischievous glint, conveying a sense of inside knowledge that was not shared by the others around him.

"Oh sweetheart, do you know this man?" The young man asked as he placed his hand on her chest fondling and squeezing her breasts, she smiled and kissed him.

The delivery man was Alexander Greece, popularly known as the live in son-in-law of the Johnson family, he was an outcast and always looked down upon due to his poor social status. The Johnson family saw him as a disgrace and embarrassment to their name, and his life with them was unbearable.

Alexander got married to Emily Johnson a year ago after they fell in love in College. Emily was always admired as the most stunning young woman in the Johnson family, but her marriage with Alexander had caused a significant rift between her and her family, particularly her grandfather, the head of the Johnson family. However, she was captivated by Alexander's handsome face and kindness but then she was just naive. A fool for love. Now she felt just having an handsome face with no money was useless.

Alexander had been living with the Johnson family for quite some time now and he had been treated like a servant ever since. Every day, he would wake up early and work tirelessly, taking care of the house chores and making deliveries for his job. Despite all of this hard work, he never once complained or expressed his feelings of exhaustion to anyone. He remained steadfast and strong, determined to do whatever it takes to make his wife and her family happy.

But the truth was that Alexander was tired. Tired of being treated like he was lesser than everyone else in the family. Tired of the long hours and the lack of appreciation. It wasn't easy, but he persevered because he had something worth fighting for - his wife, whom he thought loves him.

Although they had been married for a year, Alexander and his wife had never slept in the same room together. This was something that he had always longed for, but he didn't dare to ask for fear of making things worse.

It was a difficult situation, but Alexander knew that he had to keep going. He was grateful for his wife's love and support, and he knew that he couldn't give up on her. He hoped that they could start their own life together, away from the negativity and oppression of the Johnson family.

Emily was the epitome of a perfect wife, and she was never one to be desperate for wealthy men.

As Alexander gazed upon his wife standing at the entrace of the room, he wondered if he had misjudged her. Could it be that Emily never loved him?
