Chapter Nine

Back inside the clubhouse, Dickson saw that Jenny still refused to obey. His expression darkened immediately.

"If you don't crawl out and serve me right now," he said coldly, "I can guarantee your ex-convict brother won't live to see tomorrow."

Those words shattered Jenny completely. She could endure suffering herself, but she couldn't bear the thought of her brother dying because of her. Tears gathered in her eyes desperately hoping Marcus would never come here.

She knew exactly what these people were capable of. Her lips trembled as she slowly lowered herself to the floor.

Knowing she had no escape, Jenny gritted her teeth and began crawling out of the cage little by little. Every movement sent unbearable pain through her bruised body, but she forced herself forward.

But she had to survive, not for herself but her brother Marcus.

At the exact moment—BOOM!

The heavy wooden doors of the VIP hall exploded inward from a terrifying kick. Wooden splinters flew everywhere as the shattered doors crashed heavily onto the floor. Several people screamed and quickly stepped backward.

A cold voice echoed throughout the entire hall. "Who gave you the courage to touch my sister?" Marcus thundered.

The once-noisy banquet hall fell dead silent immediately, like they're suddenly in a graveyard..

Jenny's entire body trembled the moment she recognized her brother's voice. She slowly raised her head, and her tear-filled eyes immediately locked onto the tall figure standing among the broken doors, even though she can't see but she has a sharp sense of hearing voice and its direction.

"Marcus..." Her voice was barely audible.

Marcus didn't reply immediately, his eyes moving across the room before finally landing on his sister. Her pale and fragile face. The chains wrapped around her body, bruises covering her skin, blood staining her clothes. His heart torn into pieces, first it was his mom and now his sister, his expression slowly became terrifyingly cold.

But the moment his eyes met Jenny's frightened face, all that coldness disappeared from his voice.

"I'm here now." He took one step forward. "It's okay."

Jenny's lips trembled as tears finally rolled down her cheeks. For three years, she had been longing to hear her brother's voice, she had missed them so much and missed how he has always been protective of her. And now her brother was finally there.

The moment Genevieve realized the person who had invaded was Marcus, the shock on her face quickly turned into a mocking smile. "Oh, look who's finally here," she said with a cold laugh. "The ex-convict actually came running to save his sister."

Donald laughed loudly beside her. "I honestly thought you'd be smarter than this, Marcus." He leaned back comfortably in his chair and looked Marcus up and down.

"You just got out of prison and you're already looking for trouble? Did those three years behind bars make you stupid?"

Genevieve folded her arms across her chest. "Marcus, you really need to understand your position.. You don't have the right to walk in here and start acting like some hero."

Donald chuckled. "Maybe prison changed him. Look at that expression. He actually thinks he's dangerous."

Genevieve covered her mouth and laughed. "He's still the same pathetic man."

Marcus didn't even look at them. He continued walking toward Jenny.

Seeing his complete disregard for them, Dickson's face became ugly. "Stop him."

Several bodyguards immediately stepped forward without hesitation..

"Throw him into the suburbs and feed him to the dogs."

These guards were all elite retired special forces personally selected by Dickson. They had dealt with countless dangerous people before, and Dickson was absolutely certain they could subdue Marcus effortlessly.

The first guard rushed forward and swung an electric baton toward Marcus's head.

Marcus merely tilted his body slightly. The baton passed harmlessly beside his face.

Before the guard could recover, Marcus grabbed his wrist, twisted it sharply, and drove his elbow into the man's chest.

The guard's body flew backward and crashed into a table. Another guard charged from the side.

Marcus turned instantly, his fist struck the man's stomach with terrifying force. The man folded over and was sent crashing across the floor.

The remaining guards attacked together. Marcus didn't even take a step backward. His body moved through them like a shadow.

Nobody could clearly see what was happening. All they could hear were horrifying cracking sounds and miserable screams.

Within the blink of an eye, every single bodyguard collapsed onto the floor. Electric batons scattered everywhere. Not one of them could stand back up.

The smile on Dickson's face froze, his eyes widened in disbelief. He had never imagined that this seemingly ordinary ex-convict possessed such terrifying strength.

"What... what the hell?" Donald slowly stood up, his expression had completely changed.

Genevieve's smile disappeared as she stared at Marcus.

Marcus didn't even spare them a glance, he continued walking toward his sister. Seeing the guards defeated so effortlessly, Donald's eyes suddenly turned vicious.

He rushed toward Jenny and violently grabbed the chain around her ankle..Jenny cried out in pain.

Donald immediately wrapped one arm around her neck and pulled her tightly against his body. "Take another step and I'll break her neck!"

Marcus stopped instantly, his eyes slowly shifted toward Donald.

Genevieve quickly recovered from her shock and sneered. "What happened, Marcus? Didn't you look so confident just now?"

She laughed coldly. "You think knowing a little fighting skill makes you untouchable?"

Donald tightened his grip around Jenny's neck. "That's right. You're still an ex-convict. You should know your place."

Jenny struggled desperately in his arms. "Marcus... don't..." Her voice was weak and terrified.

Marcus's gaze became colder, je looked at the tears running down his sister's face, he wonder how much suffering she must have endured in the hand of this people to be so terrified.. He looked at the hand wrapped around her neck. Something inside him completely snapped.

He disappeared, and nobody saw him move. One second, Marcus was standing several meters away.

The next second, he was already standing beside Donald.

Donald's eyes widened in horror. "What—"

Marcus grabbed Jenny and pulled her safely into his arms before Donald could react.

Then his leg moved, the brutal kick struck Donald directly in the chest. His body flew across the room and slammed heavily onto the floor.

Blood immediately spilled from the corner of his mouth. Donald tried to move, but his entire body refused to respond.

Marcus slowly placed Jenny behind him, and he turned around, his expression was completely emotionless.

He began walking toward Donald, taking one step after another like he was counting them, his footstep echoed through the hall..

Donald stared at Marcus in pure fear. His body had already started trembling as he wondered what was going to happen if Marcus reached him.

He knew Marcus was going to kill him.

"Please! Somebody do something!" Donald screamed, pointing toward the guards who were still struggling to get back onto their feet. "Don't let him kill me!"

Genevieve was also terrified as she watched Marcus slowly approaching She knew Marcus too well. He had always been extremely protective of the people he loved, and after seeing what they had done to Jenny, Genevieve knew Donald was in serious danger. "Get the hell up and fight him!" she screamed at the fallen guards. "Are you going to lie there and watch him kill the heir of the Lionel family?" Her voice was already becoming hoarse from screaming.

The guards struggled to move, but most of them could barely stand

Suddenly, a voice shouted from the entrance "The CEO of the Wilson Group just arrived in a motorcade! Lady Sophia has suddenly arrived at the club!"

The entire hall erupted into chaos Lady Sophia had arrived at the clubhouse without any prior notice.

That was completely unexpected Donald's terrified expression suddenly changed A spark of hope appeared in his eyes Genevieve also breathed a sigh of relief.

Sophia was the CEO of the Wilson Group. If they could establish a connection with her, not only would Marcus be finished, but the Wilson Group could also deal with this ex-convict who had disrupted their business. There was no way Marcus could escape now.

But Dickson was the one who became the happiest. "Why would Lady Sophia come here?" he muttered A proud smile slowly appeared on his face "Perhaps she heard that I'm having trouble with an ex-convict and came here immediately."

The more Dickson thought about it, the more convinced he became. He was one of the senior veterans of the Wilson Group. Someone like Sophia would naturally know his importance. She must have come here to support him.

Dickson's smile widened as he turned toward Marcus, his face filled with arrogance. "You arrogant jerk, get on your knees and slap yourself ten times, you lost dog. Otherwise, I'll have you and your sister crippled." He paused and gave Marcus a cold, threatening look. "And I'll make sure she serves everyone here tonight.”

"Inside, of course," he replied. He didn't raise his voice despite being in a hurry."And why do you think you belong here?" the other guard asked rudely.Marcus looked at him calmly. "And how did you know I don't belong here?"The guard sneered. "You could never belong in a place like this. Look at what you're wearing. The people allowed inside this clubhouse are business executives and people of extremely important status. You don't fit into any of those categories."Marcus took a deep breath. He wasn't here to argue with a couple of security guards.
