Chapter Ten

The moment Marcus heard his sister being targeted, his fists clenched tightly, his face became terrifyingly cold.

"He's so arrogant. He really thinks being violent is everything," Genevieve sneered.

"Did you think I'm joking with you?" Dickson shouted again. "Kneel down!"

Marcus remained completely unmoved.

Genevieve didn't say another word. She simply stood there with a faint smile on her face, eagerly waiting for Lady Sophia to enter.

She was certain that once Sophia arrived, Marcus would finally understand how insignificant he was.

Outside the VIP hall, heavy synchronized footsteps drew closer and closer. Everyone in the room slowly turned toward the entrance.

Lady Sophia was coming.

Dickson's confidence returned immediately. He straightened his expensive suit and waited proudly for the moment the Wilson Group's CEO would step into the hall.

Marcus remained standing in the middle of the room, his sister safely behind him.

He didn't even turn toward the entrance.

A group of men in perfectly tailored black suits entered first, their expressions cold and serious. They quickly moved to both sides of the entrance before lowering their heads respectfully.

The entire hall became completely silent, then Sophia walked in. The moment she appeared, everyone was stunned.

She wore an elegant designer dress that perfectly outlined her graceful figure. Her long hair fell naturally over her shoulders, while her beautiful face carried an intimidating calmness that instantly silenced the entire room.

She didn't need to raise her voice, her presence alone was enough to make everyone understand that the woman standing before them was someone they could never afford to offend.

Genevieve stared at her in disbelief.

She had never imagined that the legendary CEO of the Wilson Group would be this breathtakingly beautiful, compared to Sophia, Genevieve suddenly felt like she had completely lost her shine.

Donald was equally stunned, his eyes remained fixed on Sophia as an intense desire flashed through them.

This was Lady Sophia of the Wilson Group. The woman countless wealthy men could only dream of approaching.

Dickson immediately stepped forward with a respectful smile. "Lady Sophia, welcome. I never expected you to personally visit this clubhouse."

Sophia didn't answer him, her beautiful eyes slowly moved across the room. She saw the unconscious bodyguards lying across the floor.

She saw the broken furniture, she saw the blood on the ground, her eyes finally landed on Marcus.

The moment she saw him, her cold expression changed slightly. But what truly caught her attention was the person standing behind him.

It was his sister, her bruised face, her bloodstained clothes, and chains around her body. Sophia's eyes instantly became cold. "What happened here?"

Dickson quickly stepped forward. "Lady Sophia, this man suddenly broke into my private banquet and attacked my people. He injured several of my men and threatened everyone here."

He pointed toward Marcus. "He's an ex-convict. His sister caused trouble here, and when we tried to handle the situation, he violently attacked my men."

Genevieve immediately stepped forward. "That's right, Lady Sophia. Marcus has always been a violent and useless man. He just got out of prison today, and he's already causing trouble everywhere."

Donald also quickly added, "He attacked the people here without any reason. He's just a mad dog."

Sophia slowly looked at them, she didn't' say anything.

Genevieve continued speaking. "He's was trying to act all mighty, his violent nature get him behind those walls, he deserves to die there and shouldn't have been freed, of you can get his ass back there I'll be more than happy"

Sophia's eyes became colder, she looked at Genevieve, then she looked at Marcus, who remained silent all through their accusations. He didn't try to defend himself, he was just there simply protecting his sister.

Sophia understood everything, even without been told, she had seen enough.

"Did you say just say he deserved to die in prison and I should through him back there?"

Genevieve nodded quickly. "Yes. That's how man like him should—" She hadn't completed her words when a loud slap suddenly echoed throughout the entire hall.

Genevieve's head snapped to the side.

The entire room froze, nobody could believe what they had just witnessed Lady Sophia had slapped Genevieve.

Genevieve slowly turned her face back, her hand covering her burning cheek. "Lady Sophia.. did I say something wrong..." She asked her voice trembling.

Sophia stared at her with absolute coldness. "Who gave you the right to speak about him like that?"

Genevieve's face instantly went pale. Donald was completely stunned, even Dickson stood frozen, nobody understood what was happening.

Sophia slowly walked past them, she didn't even spare Dickson a glance, she just walked straight toward Marcus.

The moment she reached him, her cold expression completely disappeared. A gentle smile appeared on her beautiful face.

She looked at Jenny first, then she looked at Marcus. "I'm sorry I'm late, darling."

Everyone was stunned as they mumbled if they've heard right.

Marcus looked at her in surprise. Sophia gently wrapped her arm around his. She leaned slightly closer to him and looked at the people standing across the room.

Dickson heart suddenly began pounding violently. "Lady Sophia..." Dickson's voice trembled. "You... you know him?"

Sophia slowly turned her head toward him, A faint smile appeared on her lips. "Know him?" She tightened her arm around Marcus. "He's my future husband."

The words struck the entire hall like a thunderbolt. Genevieve's face instantly lost all color..Donald's eyes widened in complete disbelief.

Dickson staggered backward. "Future... husband?"

Sophia looked directly at Genevieve.."Yes." Her voice was calm. "Did you have something else to say about my future husband?”
