The Return of Prince Ace.

Chapter 7.

David was confused, how did both cards vanished from his pocket?

" I'm hundred percent sure I kept it in my pocket– "

"Huh? " As his hands went to the back of his trouser, he suddenly felt something solid inside his back pocket.

When he put his hand inside the pocket, he found both cards clamp onto each other.

David hastily release a loud sigh of relief with his hand on his chest.

" I thought I lost them. " He smiled.

David finally left the environment of the estate.

But first he decided to head straight to the restaurant where he worked as a waiter.

He was just about to get promoted to being the assistant manager of the restaurant before he was arrested by the police.

   "At least I have some good friends who would be soo glad to finally have me back. " He thought.

When he appeared in front of the classic restaurant, he beams while adjusting his collars.

But he was surprised, the security guard at the entrance did not allow him to enter the restaurant.

"And what is an ex-convict looking for in this restaurant, huh? " An invisible voice suddenly yelled from a distance.

When he looked forward, it was his best friend Jason Peters who is also a fellow waiter like him.

He was quite stunned to see Jason wearing a corporate brown suit like that of the restaurant manager.

But even at that, David waved at him. " Hello Jason, am finally back. " He smiled brightly at him.

"But wait a sec— "

The statement Jason uttered quickly came back to him.

 'Did he just called me an ex-convict? ' Cold air suddenly enters his throat over the thought of sarcasm.

Mildly, he looked at Jason's face, Jason did not smile even for a split second when he saw him. 

 "Jason? " David called surprisingly.

  "It's Mr. Jason Peters now, David.. And your service in this restaurant is no longer required. " Jason said audaciously to his face.

David quaked. " J..Jason! " 

Jason grins at him, shadily.

Jason was David's closest buddy in the restaurant for over 4 months now, and he was practically the one who helped Jason secure a job in the restaurant after Jason was kicked out of his home by his father and started looking for a job. 

Also, he was the one who helped him to reconcile with his father.

He was very surprised at Jason's attitude. 

David gleam a smile, "What are you saying Jason? I just returned from prison, is this how you greet your buddy? " He said.

At this point he believed Jason was joking with him and the security guard stopping him from entering the restaurant was just a prank.

Jason snorted, " What buddy!! " There was this look of detestation and jealousy in his eyes when he looked at David.

"You're now looking at the new assistant manager of this restaurant David, and from that day I pledge my devotion to my office, I have ceased to be called your friend. " 

David chuckled, " you're kidding right? " He refused to believe Jason.

A waitress colleague suddenly walked up to them. She saw David but she completely snubbed him and turns to face Jason with all smiles on her face.

 "Mr. Jason, there's a $200,000 payment sent to our restaurant's account from LoreyTech group, they said it's a gift for the perfect service we rendered yesterday in Lorey CEO Mr. Irwin's birthday party. " 

" And also sir, the manager is in his office and he wants to congratulate you. " She said.

David's eyelids twitched with surprise.

" Tell the manager I'm coming to his office. " Jason smiles as he tells the waitress.

As soon as she was about to leave, David called her.. 

  "Rossy hey, it's me David! " 

She suddenly stopped, turns back, hissed scornfully at him and then she abruptly walked away.

  "Rossy? " David was shocked, and also confused.

Jason Yelled, " Go back to where you are coming from David, you're nothing but a criminal. The manager, Mr. Brentford has agreed to erase all your records from this prestigious restaurant following your arrest, so you have no right to be here. "

  "What! Jason you of all people know that I did nothing wrong, I was only trying to protect my wife, I told you to help me inform the manager and explain things to him,  how did it get to this! " David exclaimed, he was astounded.

Jason laughed instead, " HaHa! And you thought I was going to tell the manager that huh.. Oh don't be silly David, I never liked you from the beginning, I was only pretending with you because you were married to the Forrest family and also because you were helping me out with issues I can't handle alone.

Moreover, do you think I don't that your beautiful wife is flirting with another man that's handsome and rich.. I believe soon she'll kick you out of her house and send you back to the street where you belong.

David nodded with disbelief,  " I..I thought you were my friend Jason, I trusted you, how could you?! " 

  "Well as you can see, the restaurant's doing just fine without you, and the manager has said he does not want to see you anywhere around his restaurant, if you know what's good for you, respect yourself and leave this place, so I won't involve the police. " Jason forewarned straightforwardly.

"That's a chronic lie Jason, I know Mr. Brentford, he won't say anything like that, he always believe me, I want to see him. " David angrily requested.

When he said that, he tried to pass through the security to enter the restaurant but they abruptly pushed him away. 

 Jason gave him a disgusting look, he turns to the security guards,  " I'm returning to the restaurant, If this idiot doesn't leave this place in the next 10 minutes, call the police! " He gave them his orders.

David could not say a word, he could not believe Jason was a snitch and a snake all this time, someone who he took as a brother and did everything to help him.

He felt so betrayed.

He picked up his phone.

"Pom! Pom!! " 

"Hello Manager, it's me David Brighton– " 

He still had the Manager's phone number on his phone.

 " Hey you David, don't you ever call this phone again am warning you! You have been fired from my restaurant, I don't wish to work with criminals like you! " The Manager growled from the other end and immediately ended the call.

The Manager has never yelled at him before. David was shocked.

What has Jason told him?!

David curled his brow with pain and anger as he looked at the restaurant.

He was tired of being taken for granted and in wrath he brought out the contact card and dailed Hunter's phone.
