Chapter Six: Nicolas’ Plan

So, the next day, Marvin went to the warden's office and made his request. The warden looked at him with a skeptical expression. "Why do you want to work in the library?" he asked. "Don't you think it's a little out of your league?"

But Marvin was persistent. He explained that he was a fast learner and a hard worker, and that he was sure he could do the job well. He made sure to add the information about his pregnant wife . He begged the warden to have pity on him . This will go a long way to help him .Finally, the warden relented. "Alright," he said. "I'll give you a chance. He felt pity toward poor Marvin .

Marvin knew that the next part was going to be difficult, but he had to try. "Sir," he said, "I know this is a lot to ask, but could you also consider giving my friend Nicolas a job in the library? I know he would be just as good at it as I am."

The warden looked at him doubtfully. "I don't know about that," he said. "I'm already taking a risk on you. I'm not sure I want to take a risk on your friend as well."

But Marvin was not deterred. He was determined to get Nicolas a job . He has seen how much Nicolas has suffered a lot .

"Please, sir," he pleaded. "I know that my friend is just as smart and hardworking as I am. He would be a valuable addition to the library team. I promise he won't let you down."

The warden looked at him, then let out a sigh. "I'm not sure this is a good idea," he said. "But you've shown yourself to be a persistent young man, and I admire that. So, I'll make you a deal. I will put you guys one trial for a month . If you proven to be deligent you might buy get promoted at the end of the month .

"I did it!" he exclaimed as he burst through the door. "I convinced the warden to give us a chance! All we have to do is pass a test tomorrow morning, and then we can both work in the library."

Nicolas looked at him in disbelief. "Are you serious?" he asked. "You actually convinced him?"

"I did," said Marvin. "But now we have to make sure we pass the one month trail . Do you think you're up for it?"

Nicolas nodded. "Absolutely," he said. "I'll do my best to makes sure your efforts doesn’t go in vain .

"I'm just so relieved that we might actually have a shot at getting this job. It would be so much better than working in the laundry." Nicolas said

"I know," said Marvin. "The library is our ticket out of here. We just have to make sure we don't mess it up."

The two friends spent the rest of the evening strategizing about how to avoid those inmates who have been making their lives miserable.

That night as Nicolas went to bed he couldn’t help my smile at the recent events. Finally a way he can get out of this place . This job will give him flexible access to the prison system and it can create a way for him to leave this place .

Nicolas knew that the only way he and his friend could truly escape their current situation was to use their library jobs as a means of getting out of the prison altogether. But it would take careful planning and execution to pull it off.

The first step was to get to know the guards and the layout of the prison. They needed to know the best routes to take, and when the guards were most likely to be distracted. They also needed to figure out a way to get the keys to the prison gates. It would be a daunting task, but he was determined to succeed with his plan it is the least he can do for his friend . He was also lucky that Marvin had agreed to his plan . At first he asked Marvin to find a means to secure the library job for both of them .

One of the challenges they will face was getting the keys to the prison gates. They knew that the guards kept them in a locked office, and there was no way to get in without being caught. They considered trying to pick the lock, but they knew that was too risky.

Then, one day, they got a lucky break. One of the guards was talking to them, and he mentioned that the keys were kept in a safe in the office. The safe was locked with a combination, but the guard had accidentally revealed the combination to them in his conversation.

Nicolas and his friend Marvin knew that they had to act quickly. They waited until the guard was on his break, then they snuck into the office and tried the combination on the safe. To their surprise, it worked! They carefully took the keys and slipped out of the office, careful not to make any noise.

Now that they had the keys, they just needed to find the right time to use them. They continued to observe the guards and the prison layout, looking for any opportunity to escape. Finally, they noticed that there was a blind spot in the security cameras, and they knew that was their chance.

One evening, when the guards were changing shifts, Nicolas and his friend Marvin made their move. They quietly made their way to the blind spot in the security cameras and unlocked the prison gate. They snuck out of the prison and into the night, not daring to look back. They were free!

But they knew that their freedom would be short-lived if they didn't have a plan for what to do next. They needed to find a way to start a new life, and they had to do it quickly.
