CHAPTER NINE

Clinton woke up the next morning, filled with so much positive energy and a mindset that left him with an evergreen smile.

From the moment he walked out of his room, he refused to get rid of his beam, sauntering along the hallway with his eyes ahead of him.

Ignoring the silly comments from some of the students who had something to say about the rumors that had been going on around the school, Clinton made his way toward the science laboratories, his steps still increasing as he got closer to the tall building.

Suddenly, he was doubled crossed by a black sports car, causing him to stagger and almost fall.

Clinton grunted, having realized whose car that was, his eyes burning with annoyance as he stared silently.

“Billy…” He grunted, clenching his fists tightly as he stared with disdain sparking in his eyes.

At first, he had the intention of moving away, but on second thought, he decided that he was going to take the bull by the horns, standing still and staring at Billy through the windshield of the car.

After a few seconds, Billy finally stepped out of the car, staring at Clinton with a sinister smile on his face.

His wry smile showed his evil intention, and his plan to deal with Clinton.

“Look who we have here!” Billy sneered, eyes burning with contempt.

“The school pauper!” He continued, his teeth showing the evil intention that he had not gotten rid of.

At that moment, some of the students who were meant to be on their way to lectures stopped to see what was about to unfold.

Of course, no one was going to miss the opportunity of seeing the school bully deal with the school pauper who had been labeled the worst student due to his appearance and his inability to be among the ruling class in the school.

Basically, everyone was still talking about the event of the other night, wondering if Billy still had some other thing up his sleeves apart from stealing Clinton’s supposed girlfriend from him.

“Where to?” Billy asked, inching two steps closer to Clinton.

He had refused to get rid of his sinister smile, and as usual, he looked at Clinton as though he wished he could snap his neck.

“Where are you going?” He asked again, but this time, his tone was more imperative than it was earlier, demanding an immediate response.

Clinton took a deep breath, and then he cleared his throat.

“Why are you asking?” He retorted, eyes burning with impatience.

“I am not obliged to give you any response, Billy…” He sighed heavily, but that didn’t seem like it was going to be able to get rid of the feeling that had gripped him.

Each time he looked at Billy, he was reminded of everything that happened that fateful night, causing his rage to increase.

“When I ask you a question, you give me a straight answer…” Billy growled at him, eyes flaming rapidly.

Clinton saw that he was in the mood for some trouble, but that was something that he wasn’t prepared for.

So he took a deep breath which he let out slowly.

“I don’t think that I am obliged to give you any response, Billy. But just in case your life depends on it, I am on my way to physics classes…”

Billy scoffed, so loudly that anyone standing far behind him could have heard it.

“Why?” He asked, looking Clinton in the eyes.

“Why bother going to classes, Clinton?” He asked, his voice reeking of both ridicule and spite.

“That’s a very ridiculous question to ask, Billy…” Clinton finally broke his silence, and when he realized that Billy was not ready to move out of the way, he continued with a smirk on his face.

“I see that you are in the mood for some trouble, Billy…” Clinton sighed heavily, but his anger was still intact, simmering through his veins.

“But I am not in the mood for this. I am just going to continue going where I was headed before you stopped me…” Clinton made a move, but Billy stopped him at once, getting on the way.

“Oh! Come on! Are you still angry about what happened the other day?” The bully asked, refusing to get rid of his wry smile.

“Don’t tell me that you are still upset, Clinton. Rachel was just joking, man! Don’t take it that seriously, alright?” He sounded a bit believable, but the wry smile on his face was enough to tell Clinton that he was just trying to mess with him.

“We can’t be fighting because of that, Clinton. We are both men, and I am certain that we both understand the simple life rules…” Bill inched a step closer, staring at Clinton while he waited for him to say something.

“What rules, Billy?” Clinton asked casually, almost unable to get rid of the curiosity that was lingering inside him.

“Forget I asked…” He continued, taking a deep breath.

“What do you want, Billy?” He asked with a twisted expression that showcased his impatience and annoyance.

His eyes moved to the door of the main building, and seeing some of the students who were so serious about their academics trooping in, he grunted.

“Tell me what you want, Billy…” He returned his gaze to Billy, staring deep into his eyes while he waited for him to give him a response.

Billy was still silent, but he looked like he was about to say something that was going to trigger a reaction from Clinton.

“You really want to know what I want?” He questioned, but Clinton said nothing, just staring silently.

“Your Highness, this is the tube used for blowing glass.”While the materials were being heated, Chen Qi handed Xiao Ming a ceramic tube.Once the glass liquid was formed, if one wanted to shape the glass, blowing would be required. In fact, this was the most critical part of glass production. Because the temperature of the glass liquid was so high, and Xiao Ming didn’t have heat-resistant alloy tubes, he had to use a clay-fired ceramic tube. After all, he couldn’t even produce a seamless steel tube at this stage. On either side of the regenerator, craftsmen took turns operating the bellows, blowing the heat from the coal in the regenerator into the furnace. After waiting for an hour, Xiao Ming instructed the craftsmen to open the furnace lid.Instantly, a wave of heat surged out of the furnace, causing the craftsman to jump back in alarm. Once he regained his composure, he slowly approached the furnace and saw the red, molten liquid inside. He said, “Your Highness, the materials insi

Although it will be somewhat rudimentary, it will be ready for use by then. You can start selecting the staff for the newspaper office now. Here is a document outlining the structure of the newspaper office. Take it back and review it.”After saying this, Xiao Ming instructed Luluo to fetch a manuscript from his chambers. This document was Xiao Ming’s blueprint for the newspaper office, based on modern newspaper organizations but adapted to the realities of the Great Yu Empire.Once the newspaper office was established, the newspaper delivery boys would no longer exist. Instead, they would be renamed “reporters.” However, these reporters would not

At the command headquarters, Xiao Ming showed Pang Yukun the information he had received the previous night. The issue of the village heads also made Pang Yukun frown. There were many villages within the six prefectures, and the number of village heads was equally large. While not every village head was connected to the powerful families, the previous night’s events suggested that at least thirty percent of them were.“Your Highness, supporting a new village head is one solution, but what if the two village heads collude? Wouldn’t that make things worse?” Pang Yukun expressed his concern.Xiao Ming had also been pondering this issue, which was why he had come to discuss it with Pang Yukun in the morning. He said, “That’s why I want to establish an organization similar to the government office in each village. This organization will be called the ‘commune,’ and the production teams will be under its jurisdiction. The commune, in turn, will be managed by the county magistrate. This will
