Chapter 166: New start

3 days later, Derek was discharged from the hospital on a wheelchair.

Apart from the loss of blood, he had no internal injury and had been recuperating well.

According to the doctors, he only needed a few days of healing before he would start walking normally again. For now, he could only stand for a few minutes to prevent straining the leg.

Sophia was with him all through his stay at the hospital, and they left for his mansion together.

Immediately they stepped into the house, a string of ribbons floated in the air. "Welcome home!"

Everyone was there- Dominic, Jack, Alex and all their men, Benson, Thomas and all of Derek's men, his company's board of directors and executives, and even Sophia's father, Fred was around.

"My precious daughter!" Fred pulled her into a big hug.

He turned to face Derek. "I heard all that happened, son. Thank you very much for rescuing my daughter."

"It's nothing, Fred." Derek patted him and left them both to catch up.

He had to get up from the wheelch
