Chapter 18: A divorce

"What! What happened?" Derek was shocked. He found it difficult to breathe for a moment. Even though Amelia had cheated on him, he still didn't want her to die. No, he loved her too much for that. And well, believed that things could actually get better between them especially after he had recovered his heirship.

"Stop asking me foolish questions and get here at this moment!" Ann yelled and hung up.

Derek released an exasperated sigh, his head reeling. He couldn't even imagine anything bad happening to Amelia.

His phone beeped suddenly and a message popped up on his phone. It was a message from Ann. It was the name and address of the hospital that Amelia was admitted to.

He looked at the men that were staring right at him with fear in their eyes.

Thomas hurried to Derek. "Are you alright, boss? You are bleeding."

Derek nodded once. "I'm fine, let's go," he muttered and walked out of the club with Thomas. "You are dismissed. I will call you later when I need you."
