"Where is the will? I want you to hand over everything to my son, old fool," Agnes, the wife of Harry, was shouting at the top of her voice.

"You will regret treating me the way you are, Agnes." Harry Reynolds said weakly.

"Why don't you just die already? Why are you still alive?"

It was obvious that things weren't good with the billionaire and his family. These people would do anything for greed.

“Stop with the insults!” Jack barked.

"Who are you?" Declan Reynolds demanded of Jack.

"You wouldn't want to know, would you?"

"How did you get in here, and what have you stolen from this room?"

"I don't know what you are talking about."

"Son, he's too dense for this. Let's just search his pockets!" Agnes impatiently suggested.

Declan immediately went into Jack's pockets.

"Do you have to do this?" Jack frowned. He hadn't expected to be accosted by the Reynolds family so soon. They were merciless.

After some time, they found nothing they wanted in his pockets.

"Fucking hell, did he really not take the will?" Declan grumbled.

Suddenly, Declan noticed a crystal necklace around Jack's neck and pulled it off roughly.

"Isn't this my father's necklace? Why is it with you? Did you steal it?" Declan demanded.

"Give it back!" Jack's expression darkened. He wouldn't part with his mother's necklace.

"Never!"

Jack grabbed Declan's wrist. "Give me back the necklace!"

"Ouch! That hurts! Let me go!" Declan felt great pain in his wrist.

"Give it back," Jack repeated dangerously.

"Shit, I would rather throw it away than give it back to you!"

Declan threw the necklace on the ground.vand it broke into several pieces.

Jack boiled with anger, it was the only thing he had to remember his late mom. He clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles popped.

"You son of a bitch!" Jack slapped Declan in the face.

"How dare you hit my son!" Agnes screamed.

Declan's face soon turned red from the slaps.

Agnes began screaming, "Help! Help! He's murdering my son!"

The security guards rushed into the room when they heard the commotion.

"What happened, Mrs. Reynolds?" Jerry, the head guard, asked Agnes.

"Jerry! Teach this guy a lesson! I want him punished for hurting my son!" Agnes shouted.

"Holy Moly! How dare you hurt the young master? Have you lost your mind?"

This was their chance to impress Agnes. If they did well now, they might get promoted and a raise.

"What are you waiting for? Beat this thief to a pulp." Jerry raised his hand, and the other security guards surrounded Jack.

Just as they were about to beat Jack, Harry Reynolds shouted at the security guards. "Don't you dare touch my son!"

Tasha, the girl who saved Jack, entered the room with Barrister Walter and four imposing bodyguards.

"Are you okay, Young Master?" Tasha asked Jack urgently.

Jack nodded.

"Mr. Reynolds, please sign this document," Barrister Walter urged Jack, handing him the will.

“What document, Walter? What are you talking about?” Agnes asked.

“This is Jack, my firstborn child. I'm making him the Master of the Reynolds dynasty in my place and I want you all to respect that.” Harry said out to everyone.

"Oh, my God! This can't be true!" Agnes muttered, catching her breath. She thought they had gotten rid of the b*stard son a long time ago, how come he is still alive?

The security guards stared at Jack, frozen. They had heard rumors about Harry Reynolds having an illegitimate son, but they couldn't believe it.

Seeing how shocked and frozen the guards were, Jack smiled and without a word, he picked up a pen and signed the will.

Immediately, the guards in the room bowed to him and said, "Young Master, we are at your service!"

"Jerry, lock them up now. I want them punished," Agnes demanded from her bodyguards.

The guards hesitated and looked at each other. It was clear they were now taking orders from Jack.

"What the heck? What do we pay you for?" Agnes yelled at the other guards when she realized what was happening.

"We cannot offend the rightful heir to the dynasty," Jerry snapped.

"Mother, what's happening? Who is this guy?" Declan asked.

"Who else? It's your father's b*stard son," Agnes cried.

"You!" Declan pointed at Jack. "I will make sure I deal with you severely."

"Young master, I'll handle this," Tasha said and snapped her fingers.

Her four bodyguards brought out their guns and advanced toward the crowd. Even though there were only four of them, their threatening presence was enough to make the security guards back off.

"The war has just begun," Agnes declared and left the room with her son and their bodyguards.

After they were removed from the room, Harry's health got worse. He was having difficulty breathing, and Jack urgently called for an ambulance. The paramedics arrived swiftly and took Harry to General Mercy Hospital.

By midnight, Jack was anxiously walking around the hospital. He felt overwhelmed, unable to think or process what was happening as he observed nurses going in and out of the room.

Eventually, a doctor approached him.

"Are you Mr. Jackson Reynolds?" the doctor inquired.

"Yes," Jack replied.

"Please come with me."

Jack followed the doctor down a hallway to a small meeting room. The doctor indicated for him to sit down.

"I regret to inform you that your father's condition is quite serious," the doctor began. "He has advanced-stage lung cancer, and unfortunately, there's not much we can do at this point."

"What do you mean?"

"We conducted tests, and it seems the cancer has spread to other parts of his body. While we could attempt chemotherapy, the chances of it being effective are low. It might only make him more uncomfortable."

"What can we do?" he asked. His voice barely audible.

"At this stage, our focus is on making him as comfortable as possible. We'll move him to a private room and provide palliative care. Our goal is to manage his pain and ensure he's as comfortable as can be."

Jack nodded, "Can I see him?"

"Of course," the doctor said. "I'll take you to him.”
