“Huh?” He asked, pretending as though he didn't understand what she meant.

“Don't try to pretend. You didn't want to answer my call or you hesitated before you answered it,” she said and he took a deep breath.

“I'm not surprised that you found out. You're the General's daughter anyway,” he said and she smiled proudly.

“But why didn't you pick it up earlier? Are you avoiding me?” She asked and he shook his head quickly.

“No. I dare not. Who am I?” He asked and chuckled.

“Whatever,” she said and rolled her eyes.

“You saw my message, right? I called because of that. What do you say about it? Will you like to accompany the party, Mr. Adrian?” She asked.

“Think about it. But I don't take no for an answer. And it's tomorrow,” she said and he scratched his head.

“Tomorrow? Isn't that too early? I wasn't aware…” she interrupted him before he could complete his statement.

“Maybe you would have known if you'd been checking your messages,” she said and he sighed.
