Shen Wuyin arrived at the Tianji Hall. The moment he stepped in, Bai Xue rose to her feet, her brow furrowed, her nostrils flaring.

“You scum,” she muttered through gritted teeth.

“Nice to see you again,” Shen Wuyin scoffed, taking a step forward.

Bai Xue hissed, her fingers curling into fists at her sides. Veins bulged from her neck as she moved toward Shen Wuyin.

“Brat!!!” she snapped, stopping in front of him.

Shen Wuyin tilted his head, amusement dancing in his gaze.

“How dare you return here after lying about the Spirit Jade?” she yelled, saliva flew from her mouth and landing on Shen Wuyin’s cheek.

He leaned back, his nose flaring with irritation.

“Return to the dumpster you came from!” Bai Xue thundered, more saliva flying from her mouth.

Shen Wuyin took a step back, a dark shadow crossing his pupils.

“The only dumpster I know is your mouth,” he sneered. “This hall already reeks of rotten meat. Don’t intensify it.”

Bai Xue’s eyes turned bloodshot. Her nails dug into her palms at her sides.

“How…”

Before she could finish, Shen Wuyin shoved her aside and walked toward Elder Tianji’s chamber.

Bai Xue bit down on her lower lip.

“Urgh!!!” she screamed, kicking the stool in front of her.

Gasps rippled through the air as Shen Wuyin entered Elder Tianji’s chamber.

Six pairs of eyes locked on him, their jaws slack.

“How did he make it out alive?”

“Useless brat!”

“I should have pierced his heart!”

The five high grade cultivators cursed under their breath.

Elder Tianji rose to his feet immediately, his gaze filled with rage.

“How dare you return here after lying about the Spirit Jade!” he bellowed.

Shen Wuyin let out a dry laugh while rubbing his stomach as he glanced at the five high grade cultivators.

They were taken aback and rose to their feet, their hands curling into fists.

“You liar!” one of them snapped. “You still have the guts to walk in here after telling a fallacy?”

Elder Tianji lifted his hand, and the cultivator immediately shut his mouth, his eyes burning with fury.

Shen Wuyin took a few steps forward, his lips curling upward with a faint glint of teeth.

“I know these fools must have already given you the Guixin Beast’s eyes,” he said, walking to a bench and sitting down.

The five cultivators gnashed their teeth in fury, their eyes locked on him.

Shen Wuyin slid his hands into his pockets and took out the Spirit Jade Crystal.

Its spirit energy filled the room, the crystal gleaming brightly. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

The five cultivators rushed forward, their movements swift and desperate. Just as they were about to snatch the crystal from Shen Wuyin’s hand, he closed his palm.

“Ah, ah… not this now, not ever,” he grinned.

“Elder Tianji,” he called, rising to his feet.

The five cultivators circled him, their weapons materializing in their grips.

Shen Wuyin clicked his tongue.

“Too bad there is no cliff here.”

“Enough!” Elder Tianji lifted his hand, his voice echoing through the chamber.

He stepped toward Shen Wuyin.

“How is he alive and holding the Spirit Jade Crystal when you all reported he died after attacking you, claiming he didn’t know where the Spirit Jade was?” he demanded.

The five cultivators swallowed hard and stepped back, lowering their gazes.

“I’ll tell you,” Shen Wuyin smirked.

“After I killed the Guixin Beast and retrieved the Spirit Jade from its eyes, these fools took advantage of my wounded state and pushed me off Mount Runyu after taking the supposed jade from me.”

A small laugh escaped his lips as he stared at them.

Elder Tianji turned to them, his eyes blazing.

“You five dare lie to my face,” he rumbled.

Blue energy gathered beneath his fingers, forming a perfect sphere.

He slammed it into the five cultivators, hurling them across the room.

They crashed into the walls, their bones cracking from the impact as the Qi barriers around them shattered.

“Come, son, sit,” Elder Tianji said, gesturing to the bench.

Shen Wuyin handed him the Spirit Jade Crystal and sat down.

Elder Tianji examined the crystal, amusement glimmering in his eyes.

“It truly is,” he muttered.

He turned to Shen Wuyin, his expression softening.

“Son, thank you for this,” he said.

Shen Wuyin dipped his head briefly.

Without wasting time, Elder Tianji handed him a bag of a hundred thousand gold coins and a pair of Dao boots made from fine beast hide as compensation for the trouble caused by the five high grade cultivators.

“With this, I can clear off Shan Lian’s debt and still have more than enough for Yun Li’s family,” Shen Wuyin thought as he left the Tianji Hall.

A few streets away from Yun Li’s house, ten men stepped out from the shadows, weapons of different grades in their hands.

Among them were the five cultivators from the Tianji Hall.

Shen Wuyin rolled his eyes slightly.

“I see you fools are ready to die,” he smirked.

They circled him, raising their weapons.

One of them rushed forward, his sword flashing under the sun.

A few inches from Shen Wuyin, the blade stopped.

He had wrapped Qi around himself in double layers.

Another rushed in with lethal speed, his sledgehammer swinging toward Shen Wuyin’s head.

It collided with his Qi barrier, and a heavy sound echoed through the air.

While their attacks remained suspended, Shen Wuyin opened his palm. Flames danced above it, burning with intensity. He channeled Qi into his feet and propelled himself forward with terrifying speed.

He struck toward two cultivators in front of him, and the flames engulfed their Dao robes.

Their screams filled the air.

The others attacked at once, striking their weapons at Shen Wuyin.

He dodged every single strike, moving swiftly with his hands still in his pockets.

His movement only fueled their rage.

“Hand over the coins and we will let you live,” one of them thundered, tightening his grip on his weapon.

Shen Wuyin smirked.

“Think again. I just killed two of your men without a fuss, and you still think I am at your mercy?”

A dry laugh escaped his lips.

The man's face darkened.

“Kill him!”

The remaining cultivators attacked at once.

This time, they abandoned restraint and unleashed their techniques.

Sharp blades of wind tore through the air. Sword qi flashed from multiple directions while powerful fists coated in dense qi hurtled toward Shen Wuyin.

“Impressive,” Shen Wuyin said with a faint smile.

To them, he appeared to be standing there arrogantly, watching their attacks approach. What they failed to realize was that he was studying every movement, every circulation of qi, and every detail behind their techniques.

Wind Strikes, Blade Strikes,Iron Fist.

Their secrets unfolded before his eyes.

Just as they closed the distance, Shen Wuyin activated the Dao Stealing Technique he had obtained from Zhang Chi.

“Get them.”

An orb rose into the air and hovered above the cultivators.

Their expressions changed instantly.

Before any of them could retreat, streams of energy burst from their bodies and flowed into the orb. Their cultivation was stripped away within moments.

One after another, they collapsed lifelessly onto the ground.

Shen Wuyin swallowed the orb.

Silver, green, red, violet, and crimson light flickered beneath his skin before fading away.

Stepping over the bodies, he made his way home.

Just as he reached Yun Li's street, a terrified scream split the air.

“No... please!” Ruoxi screamed.
