Chapter 02 - Eren's Determination

"Uggh!!"

A man who seemed to be in his late 20s, with dirty blond hair, pitch-black eyes, and a cleanly shaved beard woke up holding his head! By the look of it, he seemed to have woken from a terrible nightmare.

"Where am I?"

Eren slowly got up from the bed he was laying on, looking around himself.

He was inside a huge room with a luxurious bed, on top of which was lying. Everything in the room looked rich and lavish! Be it the tea table near the window or the matrix on the floor, everything screamed grandeur.

The cleanroom which was free of even a speck of dust was painted in a white and golden combination giving it a gleam of royal characteristics! Some may even think of it as heaven!

But Eren's face paled seeing his surroundings!

 Beads of sweat started to form on his face.

This place...it was nothing but hell for him! 

"I am here again?"

He said, trying to get out of bed.

But before he could, the door of the room opened as a green-haired young woman entered.

"Ah! Master, you are awake? please excuse me."

Eren who was trying to get out of bed, settled down to see her.

she had a plate filled with fruits in her hands, and she took them to the table at the side, starting to cut them for him.

"Scarlet"

Eren called her out.

"Yes, Master?"

"Julia...she....", he turned his head down as he was about to ask something.

But as if she had expected it, Scarlet answered before he could even finish the question, "Young Miss doesn't know anything, she is out for some work currently, Master"

Eren sighed hearing that!

Even though he was a pathetic man who was humiliated every day, he didn't want his lover to see his disgraceful side.

But then again Eren was tired of all this!

The humiliation that he had to face every day, this disgrace of living as a corpse, he was fed up with it!

"I am just a worthless piece of shit, ain't I? Scarlet"

Scarlet who heard him suddenly talking like this was surprised but she turned her head down, not being able to answer anything.

Eren smiled faintly at her silence!

'Do I really have to live my life like this?'

He was already at his wit's end just trying to endure all these humiliations! He didn't know until when he would be able to endure all this.

He had endured all the humiliation for his lover till now, but he was not confident he could do the same in the future.

He was afraid!

More than enduring the beating and humiliation, he was afraid to face Julia if she was ever to find out about what he was going through!

Being the good heart she was, she would blame everything on herself for his sufferings!

He wouldn't be able to endure that! He was afraid of seeing her in pain.

'Rather than making her sad, it would be good if I just disappear!'

Love is blind, they say. Maybe that was true, Eren who loved Julia more than himself was ready to sacrifice himself for her sake.

Her position in the family has already decreased much because she brought in a commoner as her lover, and he didn’t want to be a further burden for her.

With a firm resolve, he decided on something as he looked at Linda.

"Scarlet, Call Ircus, I want to go somewhere"

Eren had decided, he was not going to live this shitty life anymore.

Scarlet was silent for a movement but nodded her head nevertheless since she had to follow whatever her Master says.

“And bring me a pen and paper”

Scarlet stopped for a second before continuing to walk out!

"I will do so Master!"

She left the room saying so and shortly afterward she bought a pen and paper, and went out to inform Eren's personal driver, Ircus about her Master’s call!

Eren got busy writing the letter that he didn’t even realize how much time passed until someone knocked on the door!

"Master, I have come"

A man wearing white pants and a white shirt like a typical driver had arrived waiting for him at the door.

Eren, who heard him went out, departing from the huge mansion he was staying in.

Getting inside the car, he said to the driver, "To the moon fox Dungeon"

The driver was taken aback by what he said, he turned around looking at Eren, "But Sir..."

"To the Moon Fox Dungeon"

Eren repeated firmly which made the driver flinch.

Succumbing to him, the driver started the car heading towards the Dungeon of moon fox.

With Eren departing from the house, only the letter that he left on the bed remained as his last message to his lover Julia, until they meet again if that might be!!

It was an F-rank dungeon, normally the newly awakened people would visit this F-rank dungeon to gain experience and raise their level!

The monster there was only slightly stronger than those of wild animals. So, it wasn’t especially difficult or something for awakeners to defeat them, For awakeners that is!

The driver was also taken aback because of the same reason, Eren was non-awakened, and he don't have any work there!

It would have been indeed so if Eren hadn't decided on awakening!

Yes, that’s right! Awakening, though it was not something that can be artificially achieved, from what the researchers’ data says, there is a slight chance for people to awaken in extremely dire situations.

Though it only happened to a single person in tens of thousands of people, it became a hope for Eren.

So, he decided to hold onto that last ray of hope.

And of course, there was no better place to create such a situation than a real dungeon.

If something went wrong, there was a chance that he might die, but he still wanted to try that. If he wished, Eren could have tried this by borrowing the help of Julia’s family, but he didn’t want that, he had decided that he will no longer live a life like that.

"Death with Dignity is better than a Life with humiliation"

He decided that he was going to go back, living his life with pride.

"No more."

He decided that he wouldn’t endure anything more than he had already!

“I may die, I may awaken, whatever the result, I wouldn’t regret doing this!”

He murmured as he saw the dungeon entrance portal while sitting in the back seat of the luxurious car.
