The Plotting Demon

“My lord, how did things go?” Dirth asked.

He’s the only one who met up with the demon lord. Everyone else is away and busy with something else. A task left to them by Merlin of course. That’s why he’s welcomed by the goblin shaman. With this creature are three kobolds who have with them a couple of items that would’ve been useful if Merlin returned to the dungeon sustaining heavy damage.

Thankfully, none of these are required because Merlin returned in top shape. There’s no damage done to him, though the same cannot be said for his enemies. The destruction he caused will surely reap one of the effects that he intends to create and, if he’s lucky, he’ll surely be able to create all of them.

“Perfectly.” Merlin said. A single word that summarized the event. “Everything went just as I planned.”

“Does that mean we don’t have to worry about the humans for a while?” Dirth asked.

“Yes.” Merlin said in reply.

Among the monsters on his side, Dirth is the most perceptive – even toping Gerant
