Adrian continued circulating the Nine Heavens Scripture.

The speed at which his body absorbed spiritual qi was already faster than most martial artists who cultivated ordinary techniques. Even so, he remained dissatisfied. The progress was still too slow for what he needed.

If he could get even one spirit crystal, his cultivation speed would increase by a large margin.

Spirit crystals were formed when dense spiritual qi condensed into solid form over a long time. The most common ways to obtain them were by hunting certain spirit beasts or digging them out of rare spirit mines.

A single low-grade spirit crystal was worth hundreds of silver coins. Only the talented young masters from the main line of big clans and the inner disciples of powerful sects could use them freely.

Adrian and Cora had no way to buy one.

Just as he was thinking about this, Adrian reached into his clothes and took out the white crystal he had been carrying since his rebirth. He held it in the center of his palm and stared at it.

“Could this be a spirit crystal?” he muttered.

He guided a strand of true qi from his qi pool up toward the Divine Martial Mark on his forehead. The mark responded at once. It gathered the true qi, refined it, and released a thin beam of pure white light from the center of his brow.

The white light struck the surface of the crystal, making Adrian’s eyes widen.

A single character slowly appeared on the surface of the white crystal. The writing was strange and ancient. He had never seen this kind of script before, yet the moment he looked at it, he somehow understood its meaning.

In his previous life, Adrian had also poured true qi into this same white crystal many times. Back then his cultivation had been hundreds of times stronger than it was now. Nothing had ever appeared on the stone.

Now, with only the early stage of the Celadon Extreme Realm, a character had shown itself.

“Could it be that the Divine Martial Mark I opened in this life has a special attribute that matches this crystal?” he thought.

He stared at the glowing character for a long time.

What exactly was this white crystal?

Why had it followed him across five hundred years?

And what did the character that had just appeared truly mean?

In his previous life, Adrian had been the son of a powerful sect elder and was extremely knowledgeable. He had seen many kinds of spirit crystals and understood most of their attributes. But he had never seen a crystal that carried a character like this one.

Just by looking at the glowing character, he could sense its meaning. It seemed connected to the soul and to residual wills left behind by powerful cultivators.

While Adrian was still trying to understand the character, a sudden burst of light exploded from the white crystal.

The light twisted and formed a spinning vortex. The vortex grew larger and larger until it completely wrapped around his consciousness. Adrian only felt his mind spinning violently. In the next moment, the real world disappeared.

His body remained sitting on the bed in the Outer Courtyard, but his consciousness had been pulled into another place.

He found himself standing in a quiet, misty space. The ground felt solid under his feet, yet there were no walls, no sky, and no clear boundaries. Everything around him was calm and empty.

Adrian pulled himself together and looked around.

In the center of this strange place lay a single book. He walked over and tried to pick it up.

The book did not move at first. It felt heavy, as if it was sealed by some kind of soul force. Strange words were written on its surface, but he could not fully understand them.

Adrian’s eyes turned serious as he circulated the true qi connected to his Echo Divine Martial Mark and poured his will into the book. He pushed against the seal for a long time.

After nearly fifteen minutes of continuous effort, the seal finally loosened. He opened the book.

At first the contents confused him. The writing was dense and the language was old. But as he continued reading, he slowly realized that this was not an ordinary cultivation manual.

It was a Soul Imprint,  a residual will left behind by someone who had lived a long and extraordinary life.

From the Soul Imprint, Adrian finally understood that the Divine Martial Mark he had opened was an extremely rare Echo Divine Martial Mark.

According to the residual will inside the book, not even one person in a billion could awaken an Echo-type Divine Martial Mark. From ancient times until the day this imprint was left behind, only one person had ever succeeded,  the owner of this residual will. That meant Adrian was now the second person in recorded history to open such a mark.

The ancient expert had died more than a thousand years ago.

Adrian also learned something even more valuable. The Mental Inheritance Realm created by the Soul Echo Crystal had a different flow of time. Three full days of cultivation inside this realm only equaled one day in the outside world.

When he realized this, Adrian’s heart filled with joy.

This meant his effective cultivation time was three times longer than anyone training outside. For someone who had started late and was being looked down on by the entire Vale Clan, this advantage was enormous.

Adrian continued reading with great focus. He was about to turn to the next section when he discovered he could not open it no matter how hard he tried. The next part of the Soul Imprint remained sealed.

After a moment, he understood the reason.

The imprint would only reveal more when his cultivation and soul strength reached a higher level. Right now, he was still only at the early stage of the Celadon Extreme Realm. He had not yet met the requirement.

Adrian closed the Soul Imprint and stood up.

There was no point staying any longer. He needed to return to the outside world, continue cultivating, and raise his strength. Only then would more of the ancient expert’s inheritance open to him.

He focused his mind on the Soul Echo Crystal and the Echo Divine Martial Mark on his forehead.

A soft light wrapped around his consciousness and in the next moment, the Mental Inheritance Realm disappeared, and Adrian found himself sitting once again on the hard bed in the small room of the Outer Courtyard.

Adrian did not even glance at the cultivation technique or the two bottles of Bone Tempering Elixir. Supporting Cora, he turned and walked straight out of the Lincoln Mansion.Behind them, several young martial artists of the family laughed coldly.“Oh? So he really thinks of himself as a proper young master?”Selene stood in the distance and watched Adrian’s figure disappear through the gates. A trace of surprise appeared in her face. The weak cousin she had always known seemed to have become a little different.“He has opened the Divine Martial Mark, so of course he will have some backbone now,” she thought. “But opening it at the age of sixteen is already past the best age for cultivation. There is no need to think too much about it. In the future, we are destined to walk different paths.”Selene sighed softly and returned to the Martial Arts Arena to continue her training.Inside the carriage on the way back, Cora looked at her son with a complicated expression.“Adrian, you were

When they were very young, Selene and Adrian had been considered childhood sweethearts. Later, after Selene opened her Divine Martial Mark, she spent most of her time cultivating and gradually grew distant from him. After a certain incident in the past, she never visited the Vale Clan again. The original Adrian had still been weak and sickly, but he would occasionally come to the Lincoln family just to see her. Even catching a single glimpse of her was enough to make him happy but as time passed, the chances of seeing her became fewer and fewer. In the end, she would simply send a maid to turn him away. For the entire previous year, Adrian had not seen her at all.The current Adrian was essentially meeting Selene for the first time. He felt no special emotion toward her, so his expression remained calm and composed.Selene looked at him and spoke in a superior tone.“It is true that you have opened the Divine Martial Mark. But from what I heard, it is only an unknown mark without a

Kegan scoffed and slammed his palm hard on the table in front of him.“Oh, so now you know how to come and beg me? Now you remember that I am your elder brother? Now you suddenly talk about him being my nephew?”His voice grew louder, filled with long-suppressed anger.“Four years ago, when I went to the Vale Clan to beg you to help save my son, why didn’t you listen to me? You knew very well how important my first son was to me. He was one of the best talents our Lincoln family had produced in years. He could have become a true genius. As long as you had spoken up and asked the Vale Clan for help, there was a chance to save him… but you did nothing!”Kegan’s eyes turned red. He could no longer hold back the pain and rage.“Get out of this mansion. You are no longer part of this family. I see no reason for you to be here. And let this be the last time. Do not ever step foot into this place again!”Cora’s body trembled. She dropped to her knees on the floor, tears streaming down her fa

Even though the first form of the Primordial Thunder Palm was currently only at the level of a Common Rank martial art, it was still more refined and powerful than ordinary lower-grade Common Rank skills. The force it produced when executed was clearly stronger. If Adrian tried to cultivate an Elite Rank martial art right now, it would be almost impossible to succeed in a short time. It would take him at least several years, and with the limited amount of true qi in his body, he would not even be able to fully execute such a technique. The time spent on martial skills and cultivation methods had to be arranged carefully. If he focused only on martial skills and neglected his true qi cultivation, his overall progress would become too slow. If he focused only on increasing true qi and ignored martial skills, he would suffer heavy losses in real fights. After successfully cultivating the first form of the Primordial Thunder Palm, Adrian finally gained a basic ability to defend himself.D

“It’s only a first-grade Beast Vitality Pill,” Adrian thought to himself. At his current cultivation level, one pill was enough. He placed the pill in his mouth, quickly closed the bottle, and set it aside on a flat stone. The moment the pill entered his stomach, it melted rapidly. A strong wave of pure physical energy spread through his body, giving him a powerful source of strength.Although he had already reached the early stage of the Celadon Extreme Realm and become a true martial artist, his physical body was still too thin and weak. Compared to other martial artists of the same level, he was clearly lacking in pure bodily strength. If he did not temper his body properly, he would suffer a great disadvantage in any real fight.Martial artists needed to cultivate both true qi and physical techniques. True qi alone was not enough.A set of techniques suddenly surfaced in Adrian’s mind. It was one of the secret body-tempering arts he had learned in his previous life. Among all the

Adrian, Cora, and her maid sat down together for breakfast in the small outer hall of the Outer Courtyard. The food on the table was very simple, it was only plain white rice. There was no soup and no meat. After opening the Divine Martial Mark, a martial artist’s body consumed far more energy than an ordinary person’s. Food had become very important and the young masters from the main line of the Vale Clan who had already opened their marks no longer ate normal meals. Every day they took special pills made from the blood and essence of savage beasts. A single pill could fully replenish their physical strength, keep them from feeling hungry even after a full day of hard training, strengthen their blood and qi, and slowly improve their physical body.If Adrian continued eating only white rice, even three meals a day would not be enough to support his new consumption.Cora looked at her son, reached into her sleeve and took out a small jade bottle. Inside were eight dark-red pills.“Ad
