Shocking Discovery

King Buduralaksa fell silent all at once. His eyes blinked several times as if trying to steady a thought that had slipped free. He had not prepared an answer for the hypothetical that Arya had just posed: what if the would-be assassin was one of the king’s own kin? The idea felt foreign to him—he could not imagine any member of his family stooping to such malice.

“I don’t know, Arya. I haven’t thought along those lines. Honestly, I don’t believe any of my relatives would do this,” the king admitted, voice low and uncertain.

Arya smiled broadly but did not press the point. A part of him, however, could not help remembering his eldest brother, Prince Dewalaksana—ambitious, dangerous, a man who once sought to seize the throne from his own father. The memory lingered, a quiet reminder that filial bonds could be brittle where power was at stake.

“Your Majesty clearly know of the Sastrajingga kingdom, yes?” Arya asked, changing the subject with careful tact.

“Hmmm… of co

  • Caught Red-Handed

As masters of the highest martial class, the two old men could instantly sense when their sect was infiltrated by an unfamiliar energy — especially one that clashed with their own.Although Prime Minister Arya had once belonged to the dark sect, he had long since purged the darkness from his body. Yet, when he entered the Fire Demon Sect compound, his energy — unbeknownst to him — struck against a barrier that had been created by the sect’s two grandmasters. The barrier had been established under the orders of an envoy from the Demon King’s son, shortly after Prince Sanggabhumi had been captured and brought into their stronghold. Not far from the heavily guarded chamber protected by six sentries, Arya once again invoked Illusion of the Night. In mere seconds, the six guards fell one by one, silently.Just as he had suspected, inside the room he found Prince Sanggabhumi sitting bound to a chair. The young prince of Erlangga looked relieved when he saw the man who had been his caretaker

  • Infiltration

According to the description Arya received from Ananta Shesa, the Dragon God, he visualized it in his mind to ensure they wouldn’t end up in the wrong place. Unless the name of the mountain or sect they intended to visit was known, their appearance could not be precise.Fortunately, Prime Minister Arya still remembered some of the landmarks and features of the place they sought. Thus, when they appeared at the foot of the mountain, the prime minister of the Erlangga Kingdom immediately confirmed that they had arrived at the right location. The three of them stared at the towering mountain standing proudly before them, covered in lush green trees.“As I recall, the place isn’t too far up, Your Majesty. Nearby, there’s a lake formed from an ancient eruption,” explained Prime Minister Arya.“Then let’s go there right away! You know the place better, Uncle — lead the way,” replied King Wirabhumi.“Yes, Your Majesty.” Arya fixed his gaze ahead before darting forward with the light-body tec

  • The Rescue of Prince Sanggabhumi

Arya stroked his beard thoughtfully before finally rising to his feet.“Where are you going?” Ananta Shesa asked, lifting his gaze slightly.“To rescue Prince Sanggabhumi. Didn’t you just tell me not to waste any more time?” Arya replied.“And where exactly are you going? I haven’t even told you where the boy is yet.”Arya looked momentarily foolish. He scratched the back of his head and chuckled awkwardly. “Ah, right… why am I being so stupid?”“You’ve been stupid since birth,” Ananta Shesa muttered in annoyance. “If Wirabhumi hadn’t made mistakes in the past, he would have been far smarter than you.”“Hahaha… luckily my bird isn’t blind and still knows exactly where to spit,” Arya said with a teasing grin before sitting back down cross-legged. “So, you know about King Wirabhumi too?”“How could you not realize that I control everything? I granted you the blessing of the Fire Dragon’s energy, while within Wirabhumi, I placed the Black Dragon King.”“The Black Dragon King?” Arya frown

  • The Fear of Ki Mangkubumi

The disciple questioned by Ki Mangkubumi instantly fell silent, his face filled with confusion. He quickly connected the incident that had occurred three days ago to the disappearance of Sanggabhumi.“Forgive me, Master… Sanggabhumi is no longer in the sect,” he answered hesitantly.“Did I hear you wrong? How could he be gone? What exactly have you done to him while I was away?” Ki Mangkubumi’s voice thundered with anger. It was no surprise that the leader of Heavenly Peak Sect was nearly losing his mind. If Sanggabhumi had truly vanished, how could he possibly explain such a disaster to King Wirabhumi? He couldn’t even begin to imagine the fury of the king, who had entrusted his only son to him. Moreover, King Wirabhumi’s strength — being a late-stage Earth Realm warrior — made the potential consequences all the more terrifying. If that fury were ever unleashed, only Elder Fajar might be capable of calming him down.“We didn’t do anything, Master. But Sanggabhumi disappeared the same

  • The Fire Demon Sect

After bidding farewell, the two of them left the royal hall and walked toward the chamber Arya had occupied for the past two weeks. They both knew it would be improper to simply vanish in front of King Syailendra’s family, even though Princess Rani and Suwita had once witnessed it themselves. The young princess’s eyes welled up with tears as she watched Arya leave the hall. She wanted to stop him, but she had no power to do so. All she could do was hold back the sobs swelling in her chest.Once inside the chamber, Arya and Master Mangkubumi disappeared without a trace. To avoid causing an uproar since it was still broad daylight, they reappeared in a forest outside the capital city of Sastrajingga.Meanwhile, in a secluded compound resembling a martial sect’s training ground within the Erlangga Kingdom’s territory, Prince Sanggabhumi sat kneeling on the floor. His hands and feet were bound, and his mouth gagged with cloth, preventing him from speaking.Around him stood four men dresse

  • Farewell

"Could it be because of Sanggabhumi, Grandfather? But isn’t Sanggabhumi with the Prince now?"Elder Fajar lowered his gaze and turned toward King Wirabhumi."There’s something I forgot to tell you, Wira. Earlier this afternoon, Arya came here. He said that yesterday he decided not to return and chose to wait for Mangkubumi to come and pick him up, since they had already arranged to meet."King Wirabhumi furrowed his brows. "When will Master Mangkubumi arrive?""If I’m not mistaken, either tomorrow or the day after. Why do you look so anxious?" Elder Fajar asked in return."I don’t know, Grandfather. I just feel that this strange phenomenon has something to do with my son." King Wirabhumi lifted his gaze toward the sky, where the full moon had returned to its normal brilliance. "How about we check on Sanggabhumi’s condition right now?"Elder Fajar smiled at his disciple’s uneasiness."You don’t need to worry about Sanggabhumi. He’s in a safe place, surrounded by members of the Heavenly
