"You devil, I know you must have deceived the mother, making her believe that you just wanted her daughter for the sake of protecting her. Instead, you needed her for your evil deeds," Nathan spat angrily, pressing Valtor's head more into the wall.

"What do you expect me to do? I am after the money," Valtor replied with a sneer.

"You will pay for that as well," Nathan spat, then smashed Valtor's head more into the wall.

Nathan knew that all he was doing to Valtor wasn't effective; Valtor would recover from the attack, and very fast.

Nathan knew that if he didn't look for a way to get to the object, Valtor would get loose, and it could be his end, because Valtor wouldn't hesitate this time in killing him. The only hope left for Nathan now was Shinda.

Nathan shifted his gaze to Shinda, who was close to him, then instructed:

"Listen to me, Shinda. Go through the front door, the other one facing left. You will get to a room where you will see a round-shaped object having two switches on

Brooks shouted, his fist curled, his hands heating the wall as he continuously heated it without stopping."That's my stupid son. I just hope he hasn't been slacking all this while on the current issue on ground. Who knows if the fool has even forgotten about everything entirely?" Brooks muttered to himself. He had this mindset that Victor and his sister, with his wife, would have forgotten about him and instead focused on themselves. Some minutes later, the door cracked open, and Shinda was holding a red sack bag, standing tall at the front of the two open doors of the room where Brooks was being locked in. "As soon as you are out of here, you will be a free bird. Hope you are ready for it, neither worth it," Shinda said with a smirk, then stepped forward to go wear the bag on Brooks' face.Initially, when Nathan, as Nathan, went out of the room where Brooks was being locked in, he went to Shinda and informed him about the release of Brooks. Shinda asked why, but Nathan remained sil

“His aim was to embark on a heist, and his to use the mind-controlling tools as his weapon. And secondly, the people, whom he had used as his tools, almost half were dead, their brains were blown off,” Jordan explained."What the hell? I didn't expect that to happen, so all those people under mind control, half of them were dead? damn that bastard," Nathan snapped, hearing what Jordan had said.Nathan had informed Jordan about the hypnotized mind before he exited the building and also, and he sent him to do some research on where Valtor had run off to."So, have you figured out where he had run out to?" Nathan asked."No, not yet, my boys are still on the search," Jordan replied."Okay, once you find any clues, please don't hesitate to inform me," Nathan said."Yes, sir, I will do just as you say, I will do more findings, and once I get any slightest info about Valtor, I will inform right away," Jordan replied, before cutting the call.Nathan pushed his hands downward with his hand gr

“I just hope he’s safe,” Sophia mumbled, shaking her head, then lowered the phone from her ear.“--”It was dark, and the thunder rumbled from the sky, creating a bright glowing hue that illuminated the sky. The wind blew vigorously, creating a sharp sound that made Amanda hug Hazel really tight, scared of the piercing sound of the wind. “Hazel, I’m scared,” Amanda said, her face deep into Hazel’s gown, and Hazel could feel the little girl’s body shaking.“Are you afraid of thunder?” Hazel asked with a chuckle, slightly laughing. “Yes, I’m afraid of thunder,” Amanda replied, shifting her gaze upwards as she stared at Hazel, her big, round, adorable, charming eyes, and Hazel could see fright evident on them.Hazel maneuvered her hands toward Amanda’s hair, then caressed it softly, with a grin on her lips. “I have a story for you,” Hazel said, before adjusting her body a bit as she continued. “Do you know that the best time to tell a story to a child is when the rain is falling hard

Victor's plan was to stay calm, waiting for his mom to be done with what she wanted knowing from Jerriq, then after that, he would pour out his rage by killing the barrister coldly. Victor felt disrespected, not only to him but to the entire Brooks family. "What are you doing just standing, Sophia? Ain't you saying a word? What's even wrong with you?" Victor shifted his gaze to Sophia after noticing her silence toward the matter that was unfolding in front of them."What do you expect me to do? Should I rant like a dog or what?" Sophia replied, snapping into rage. It was already getting on her nerves. Victor always saw himself as the supreme ruler of the Brooks family, and yet he was very weak, like a snail."This isn't the right time for another argument, both of you. Let's leave this conversation for later. What I want to focus on is how we will settle the whole of this, not you both ranting like fools."Jerriq stood up from the sofa he was seated on as he said, "I would like to ta

“Are you fucking kidding me, you bastard? Victor got pierced, so he rushed towards the barrister, then held him on the shirt and raised him up, staring deep into his eyes as if he wanted to devour him."Take back all that you have said, or I will kill you and feed you to my dogs," Victor added, his face darkened, his jaw gripping hard. "I'm taking no fucking shit back. You know you can't do anything to me. If you do, then the worst will come upon you," the man replied fearlessly."What... What's giving this bastard the guts to talk to us in such a manner?" Victor said in thought, staring deep into the barrister's eyes without doing a thing."Victor, let him go. Let's get to know the reasons why he's here before taking out our final decision." Victor's mum cut in with her voice, stepping forward to stop Victor. Victor shifted his gaze to his mother, then nodded his head in agreement. “Okay, mom.”Victor's mum stepped forward. Then with a smile, she said, "Please be our guest and hav

It was obvious, but Victor wasn't angry about him seeing Sophia inside his room.Sophia could feel herself boiling up from the inside. Sophia always had this feeling of her not being part of the Brooks family because of how she was being treated. Brooks never saw her as a person who could actually lead, nor believe leaving anything in her care, and because of this, Sophia always has drawbacks seeing herself as the black sheep of the family. “Mum, what’s that all about? The main reason I came to victor room was because I forgot something there, and when I came to pick what I had forgotten, the door was already open so there was no need for knocking and victor was far asleep, so I decided to go ahead and pick what I came to pick,” Sophia explained in details trying to sound truth, her voice Hasting. Sophia’s mum gasped before responding, “Okay, just forget about it. Let’s focus on the main problem here, which is how to figure out who the masked man is, which we already know, but knowi
