Jasper sighed as he walked into the real estate company. His hands tucked in his trousers pockets, he strolled in like he owned the place.

Walking into the place, Jasper frowned as he looked at the sales staff. They all took a glance at him before ignoring him; besides, the expression on their faces showed that they were looking down on him. He let out a silent scoff before looking around again. He was about to ask who was going to attend to him when he heard,

"Sir, how may I help you?" A voice came at that moment.

Jasper frowned as he looked at the teenage girl who had been pushed forward to attend to him and forcefully held back the insult he was about to dish out, as he knew that she was a newbie from the way she acted.

"I want to buy a house. Show me the houses you have," Jasper said as he looked at the girl.

From the looks of it, the girl was a new graduate and was new to the ways of the world. After hearing his words, she immediately went to get the pictures and descriptions of the villas.

"Humph! Why are you in a hurry? Don't you see that he's not going to buy any houses? He's just here to waste your time." One of the sales staff sneered at the girl, seeing how excited she was. Jasper looked first at the girl, then at himself and how he was dressed. He was being underestimated because of the clothes he was wearing.

But the girl couldn't care less about it as she hurriedly took it over. Jasper was her first customer; she had not managed to serve any customers since she started a week ago. As a result, she was afraid it was going to affect her performance.

As for whether Jasper was going to buy a house or not, she couldn't care less about that and only focused on serving him well.

"She has no good eyes, or else she wouldn't have wasted her time on trash like him." Another of the sales staff snorted coldly.

Jasper frowned as he looked at the sales staff, it was fine if they refused to attend to him, but why the hell would they be looking down on him? Did he have a feud with them in their past lives?

Well, that seemed to be the case. If he didn't have a feud with them in their past lives, why would they look down on him just like that?

"Sir, here are the houses." The girl soon came running back and placed the papers in front of Jasper. The other staff kept laughing at her, but she ignored them and placed her focus on Jasper.

After looking for a while, Jasper's eyes caught a house and pointed at it.

The girl immediately told Jasper all the property of the house.

"This one is the most expensive and, as you can see, it is also beautiful and large, the quality is topnotch and that's why it's that expensive. To me, it is worth it". The girl kept explaining and trying to convince Jasper to get that particular property.

"Are there any houses near it?" Jasper couldn't help but ask.

"If you want to buy, just buy and stop asking questions." One of the sales staff said rudely from the side.

Immediately, the sales assistant attending to Jasper was anxious as she looked at Jasper, but to her surprise, Jasper was not angry and acted as though he didn't hear the girl.

He could be less bothered about brats like her. If he let her words get to him, then what would he be?

"There are a total of seven other Villas surrounding it." The sales staff said, and she started to explain the properties of each Villa. She had done her assignment.

"That's enough," Jasper waved his hands, feeling rather impatient.

"Sir, I can show you other Villas," The girl said hurriedly, as she was afraid that Jasper was dissatisfied.

"Hmph! Can'tyou see? He doesn't have the money to buy a house." The sales assistant who had spoken earlier suddenly sneered.

"And what if I could buy it?" Jasper furrowed his brows as he turned to look at the sales assistant.

What would he be if he continued to ignore her? She had continuously stepped on his nerves since he walked in. She was among those who didn't care to hide their disdain towards him.

"Humph? Why would I believe that you can buy a house? You wouldn't even be able to afford a bag of cement, talk more or less afford a house." The sales assistant sneered.

"Please don't mind her, esteemed customer." The girl in front of Jasper immediately apologized, as she feared that Jasper might become annoyed.

"Why are you still asking for his apology, don't you see that he can't afford it?" The sales assistant sneered as she looked at the girl serving Jasper.

"This is none of your business, I suggest you stay out of this." The sales representative gritted her and said.

"Oh, so you've grown wings, and now you can talk back to me, huh?" The other girl snorted coldly.

"Don't worry, I'll let you know what it feels like to live in hell." She snorted.

The sales assistant serving Jasper bit her lower lips, but still, she turned and looked at Jasper with a smile on her face.

"From today henceforth, you're fired," Jasper spoke slowly as he looked at the other sales assistant.

"Ha ha ha, who the hell do you think you are to fire me?" The girl shouted coldly as she looked at Jasper.

"Get me your Manager; I want to fire her; I believe he'll agree with me." Jasper ignored the other girl and turned to the sales assistant in front of him.

"There's no need to go call me, I am already here." A feminine voice sounded as a middle-aged lady walked over.

"I want these seven Villas, here's my card." Jasper directly changed the subject and pulled out his card from his pocket, giving it to the sales assistant in front.

  • The system

The System completed its sweep quietly, feeding Jasper the results in fragments he could digest without noise. The hidden buyer was no ordinary operative. Not purely corporate, not purely political, but a careful mix of both. Jasper traced the patterns, the financial networks, the soft influence, the public-facing philanthropy. The man was a senior board member of a multinational tech conglomerate. His name rarely appeared in scandal. His face was clean in every photo, every press release. Privately, he held advisory roles, quietly lobbied politicians, and maintained access no law could strip away. Yet behind that public image, he financed destabilization, acquisitions, and manipulations. The mob boss had been muscle, disposable, nothing more.Jasper sat back against the cold wall of the cell, hands resting on his thighs. He didn’t speak. He didn’t need to. The System displayed the maps, the connections, the shadow accounts, all flowing into the same hidden network.A quiet alert foll

  • Rumors

The failure of the prison raid rippled through the criminal underground faster than the mob boss could anticipate. Rumors traveled along encrypted channels, whispered by low-level operatives and repeated in hushed tones at safe houses. In those corridors, uncertainty bred panic. The strike squad’s disappearance was no accident. Someone stronger than expected was moving in the shadows—and worse, someone was watching.Jasper remained seated on the edge of his bunk, hands clasped loosely, eyes fixed on the gray wall across from him. The System continued its work in silence, parsing the fragmented communications flowing through proxy networks, filtering what was relevant and discarding the rest.A soft alert chimed.Intercepted Transmission Detected.Jasper didn’t flinch. • No noise

The holding facility sat quiet in the early hours of the night, the kind of quiet that felt manufactured. Lights hummed overhead, steady and white, washing the concrete corridors in sterile calm.
