Later that evening.

Kevin arrived at FlavorNest, the food processing company run by Brielle.

Seeing his boring chevloret car, Rory snickered. “You look good in that car. It suits you.”

Rory was the second son of Brielle. He looked smart, but he was just a muscular playboy who hid behind his wife Sadia so that he wouldn’t get scolded by his mom.

“It’s rare to see you at a board meeting,” Kevin retorted. “What wind brought you here? Or should I ask ‘what skirt brought you here?’”

“Watch your tongue, you trash,” Sadia stepped out of the white Porsche. “Rory is going to inherit FlavorNest one day. He’s going to be the official heir of the O’Brian family.”

“Good luck with that, little sis,” Kevin replied. “You will need it because Big Sister always sucks up to our Aunt, and there’s no one in this world who doesn’t give in to and reward a persistent subordinate’s hard work.”

Sadia glared at him. She had a nose ring and long earrings. She was short but spicy with the tongue and quite devious with her schemes. Her friends called her Little Dynamite.

Kevin ignored Sadia and Rory and just entered the building.

Unlike Naomi, Sadia always badmouthed him and openly mocked him, so Kevin never felt the urge to be polite or friendly to her or Rory. For Cecilia’s sake, he did try to be friendly, but they mocked him even more.

On the top floor.

The board members have all arrived, including every single one of the O’Brian family members.

Kevin came to the seat next to Cecilia. It was already occupied by a certain person, Morgan Freesport, so Kevin politely asked him to take the next seat.

Morgan, a forty-five year-old man, did not like that.

Before Morgan could reply, Brielle said, “You’ll be sitting over there, toilet boy.”

She pointed at the furthest seat at the corner.

The last two words surprised everyone. Brielle did not outright disrespect Kevin like this before. After all, disrespecting him in front of other board members wouldn’t make her look that good either since he was her only son-in-law.

Cecilia frowned and looked at her mother. It felt like Brielle did it on purpose, probably because Cecilia brought Jordan Wang to the Serenity company.

Kevin forced out a smile and sat where Brielle had ordered him to.

Dabby, Rory, Naomi, and Sadia smiled, openly exhibiting their feelings.

Orlando, however, remained indifferent, maintaining his professional outlook.

Soon, the board meeting started.

“All of our major companies excelled in the last quarter, but if I took the entire last year data, the growth isn’t much,” Brielle stated. “I want a new product in every company that will boost the sales and double the profits in the next quarter.”

Everyone nodded.

Brielle looked at Dabby. “Do you have any fresh ideas for your company’s growth?”

“We’ve cracked the code for temperature-adaptive tiles, Madam Chairman,” Dabby replied professionally. “Warm in the winter, and cool in the summer. With the right kind of marketing, I’m pretty confident that our sales will exponentially increase.”

“I won’t let you waste too much money on ads,” Brielle told him. “The best kind of marketing is always the word of mouth, so make people talk, and the profits will roll into our vaults.”

Brielle then talked to other board members and asked everyone of their ideas and plans for the coming quarter.

Cecilia’s turn came, and she told her mother about the deal she made with Jordan Wang, which made many people at the table clap for her because it was a big deal.

“Don’t ruin it,” Brielle told her daughter without even giving her a little praise.

Eventually, Kevin’s turn came.

When Brielle looked at him, he said, “I’m about to build a smart squat toilet in the next month or so.”

The entire hall fell silent.

Sadia chuckled, and then everyone started laughing. Even Orlando almost cracked a smile.

“A smart squat toilet, you say?” Brielle’s voice turned cold. “Who’s going to buy them? The poor folks from the third world countries?”

“Jordan Wang,” Kevin’s reply silenced the hall once more. “If he likes the product we make, he will make a long-term contract. Serenity can expand to other cities, and if we partner with Jordan, we can even expand the company to China, Korea, and Japan. There’s also an untapped market in India. Squat toilets can conquer the eastern market if we can sell them at affordable prices.”

Cecilia was impressed by Kevin’s vision and the confidence with which he explained his intentions. She clapped for him.

Brielle’s gaze turned red. She slapped the table, making Cecilia shiver a little bit. She then glanced coldly at Kevin. “Before you conquer the eastern market, go out and bring everyone here coffee and biscuits.”

A brief silence followed.

Kevin squeezed his lips together, then got up and left the hall.

Sadia and Rory were chuckling and giggling together.

Cecilia visibly frowned.

A minute later, Kevin brought the snacks and coffee and served one by one at the table. After he finished that and was going back to his seat, Brielle said, “Kevin, there's a smell coming from the bathroom. Go and clean it.”

Kevin’s expression froze.

Cecilia clenched her fists and said, “There’s janitor for that job.”

“There’s nothing wrong with cleaning a toilet,” Brielle replied. “Besides, he’s the head of our toilet company.”

Kevin then went to the janitor on that floor, took the equipment from him and returned to the hall which had a combined bathroom.

This was only ever used by the board members.

Kevin just stood inside the bathroom, unmoving, staring at the words ‘toilet boy’ written on the mirror with lipstick.

Did Brielle write those words? Was she planning to send him to clean this bathroom before the board meeting even started?

How could she toy with his feelings and emotions like this?

Kevin’s fists tightened very much.

A message rang in his mind.

[15 hours left to complete the first mission. Do you want to clean ten bathrooms, or do you wish to cleanse nine more digestive tracts?]

Besides, my wife is a piece of art. I married her for her looks, but after seven years of fucking the same thing, the testosterone is bound to decrease in the bedroom, which makes me less attractive to her. We men must remain obviously attractive to other women but never give in to that. It's a weird sadistic game, but my wife likes to play it, alright. Like I said, she’s a piece of art. And that was like a year ago. He kept his mouth shut all this time and only started talking now. Don’t you think something is fishy?”Kevin smiled. “I told you that they are going to come after us. I just didn’t expect that they wouldn’t even give us some time to relax.”“Why are you smiling?” Cecilia was mad. “This is serious.”Kevin stopped smiling.“And there’s another thing,” Cecilia added. “There’s a rumor spreading on news channels that a Chinese billionaire named David Lee has tried to buy our company.
