Upon witnessing the tragic death of his son, Han Yu could only close his eyes.
"Xianger, let’s go back..."
Luo Xiang nodded, then turned to look at Han Yu, who still had his eyes shut.
"The old and new grudges shall begin... If one day I surpass you, I’ll return and take your life with my own hands..."
Han Yu nodded. “There’s no need to wait for the future... Today, you are the victor!”
Swuuush! Slaaash!
Drawing a sword from his spatial ring, Han Yu took his own life right before the eyes of Luo Xiang, Luo Jin, and Luo Lan. For him, there was no reason to live after witnessing the death of his beloved child.
Narrowing his eyes, Luo Jin looked at the remaining members of the Han Clan, now frozen in confusion and fear after seeing their patriarch commit suicide.
“I won’t hold anything against you... You may choose your own path—join the Luo Clan or rebuild the Han Clan,” he said, with a subtle hint of threat in his tone. Then, Luo Jin took Luo Xiang and Luo Lan back to the Luo Clan.
Upon arriving at the Luo Clan…
“Xianger... Well done!” one of the elders praised Luo Xiang's swordsmanship.
“Oh right… May I ask who your teacher is?” Luo Jin asked seriously.
This question had been carefully prepared by Luo Jin at Luo Lan’s request. After all, the Luo Clan did not possess the sword techniques Luo Xiang had displayed.
Luo Xiang nodded and quickly activated the remaining Divine Soul consciousness within him. At once, a terrifying sight made everyone in Luo Xiang’s residence tremble.
What they saw was a man standing tall, exuding an indescribable aura that overwhelmed those who gazed upon him.
“Wh-who is that?!”
“Son… Do you know his name?” Luo Jin asked respectfully.
Luo Xiang shook his head. “Master only told me that if my parents asked about him, I should simply summon the soul he left behind.”
Realizing that his grandson’s master was beyond his own comprehension, Luo Jin finally let out a relieved breath.
“Hehehe... In all the realms, perhaps no one is worthy to be my master!” Luo Xiang mused inwardly with a mysterious smile.
Everyone nodded in understanding. After learning who Luo Xiang’s master was, Luo Jin brought up the issue regarding Wei Ho.
Luo Xiang explained everything in detail, and they finally understood the root of the problem. Even though it began as a youthful conflict, Wei Ho was the third son of the Wei Clan—meaning a great clan war was inevitable.
Shortly after, Luo Jin shared secret knowledge of the main clan with Luo Xiang, clearly showing his hopes for Luo Xiang to one day become the clan leader. After all, both Qing Tian and Luo Lan had only one heir.
“The Sword Domain... This place is said to be a hidden realm within the Sky Continent... And there are many powerful forces residing in it... It seems the Luo Clan isn’t as simple as I thought,” Luo Xiang muttered.
“Though you’re the sole heir... In the law of nature, strength determines power... Besides, the clan is in a chaotic state, so for now, you won’t be able to train in the main family,” Luo Jin explained.
Luo Xiang nodded in understanding. Having received so much information, he felt the weight of the responsibility placed on his shoulders.
“Very well, Grandfather... One day I will surpass even my father’s achievements... And I will restore the Luo Clan to its former glory!”
After their serious talk, laughter filled the room when Luo Jin pulled out jars of wine from his spatial ring.
That night.
“Mother... How are you feeling?”
Luo Lan smiled sweetly upon hearing her son’s concern for her condition.
“I’ve started to recover...”
Luo Xiang nodded and, without a word, checked the poison within his mother’s body by reading her pulse.
Moments later…
“Heavenly Demon Poison?!” Luo Xiang’s eyes widened in shock.
Luo Lan's expression also turned to one of disbelief. Very few people knew what poison resided in her body.
“H-how did you know, my son?!”
Luo Xiang shook his head. “This is another blessing my master left me... But how did you come to be poisoned with something so deadly, Mother?!”
Luo Lan closed her eyes for a moment. After mustering her courage to reveal a secret kept for seventeen years, she looked warmly into her son’s eyes.
“This poison came when I was protecting you while you were still a child…”
Flashback – Seventeen Years Ago
The Sword Domain was in great turmoil due to a power struggle for the throne of the domain. Major clans and sects residing there had gathered, for in the law of nature, only the strong shall rule. They held a tournament among patriarchs and sect leaders in the domain.
A month before the tournament began, the Luo Clan was infiltrated by five Semi-Divine Realm experts. As a result, Luo Lan and Qing Tian—Luo Xiang’s father—had no choice but to battle these five invaders.
Surprisingly, the couple proved too strong, and the attackers couldn’t defeat them. Eventually, the enemies resorted to targeting young Luo Xiang to escape. This incident severely damaged Luo Xiang’s dantian and poisoned Luo Lan when one of the attackers struck her with a palm laced in deadly venom.
After telling the whole story, Luo Lan broke down in tears, blaming herself. Had she been more vigilant, her son would never have suffered. This guilt led Qing Tian to establish a branch family as a place of exile for Luo Xiang.
Luo Lan believed that had the past unfolded differently, Luo Xiang might have become a respected figure in the Sword Domain today.
Luo Xiang responded only with a warm smile, for without that tragic past, the path of vengeance he now walked would never have unfolded. In other words, if the soul's original owner had survived, Shen Luo Xiang would have truly perished when punished in the Divine Realm.
“Don’t worry, Mother... As for the poison in your body... Xianger will heal it.”
Luo Lan wiped the tears from her cheeks. Her regret transformed into pride at her son’s determination.
“My son... Even though I believe in you, this poison continues to drain my cultivation... If it’s not cured within three years, I’ll surely—”
“There’s no such thing as impossible, Mother. Xianger will heal you!” Luo Xiang cut her off.
Luo Lan could only nod. After they shared a moment of comfort, Luo Xiang revealed the real reason for his visit.
“Do you give me your blessing to leave again?”
Without hesitation, Luo Lan nodded in approval of her son’s decision.
“Of course, I will. But promise me... Be careful out there...”

Realizing who the informant was, Luo Xiang let out a soft chuckle. In his mind, the Star God had no reason to do something so foolish.Still, he felt grateful—because the information the Star God gave him marked the beginning of his journey back to godhood."Let’s go back..." Bai suddenly lost interest in fighting over the Phoenix Flame amidst the thousands of cultivators struggling for it.Hearing this, Luo Xiang nodded, understanding Bai’s concerns."Yier, will you follow your master’s request?" Luo Xiang asked seriously."What is it, Master?""Even though the Star Steps can strengthen your physical training, in the current situation, fighting over the Phoenix Flame will surely result in a terrible bloodbath... So, I ask that you return to the Luo Clan with Senior Bai.""No. I want to stay and protect you..."Luo Xiang gently shook his head while brushing Hong Yi’s soft hair."Trust your master."Bai, who had lost interest, suddenly changed his mind. Hong Yi nodded, now fully understanding his master’s explanation. This was evident from the close-combat training he had never done before—except with his teacher.A few days later, Bai had grown quite close to Hong Yi after some casual conversations. During a rest period while they were gathering Qi energy, Luo Xiang sensed several auras approaching."Can you feel it?" Bai asked, unfazed by the group that was about to stop right above them in the sky."Yeah... but I don't care either," Luo Xiang replied, glancing at Hong Yi who was trying to suppress the poisonous aura from her body."I expected this… You’re actually quite a genius to grasp what’s usually difficult for ordinary cultivators.”He looked at her proudly—until suddenly, his gaze was drawn upward after hearing a sharp screech from a silver-winged eagle above.“Fools who seek death never seem to run out...” Luo Xiang muttered.Swuuuush!
