The two elders of the Wei clan fell silent. They exchanged glances before nodding in unison.

“Hahaha! If that’s what you wish, then we truly shall issue an open declaration of war!”

Baaam!

Wei Tian immediately detonated a small orb. Within seconds, smoke billowed out—clearly a diversion as both elders made their escape.

Swuush!

In just a few seconds, both of them vanished from sight. Seeing them flee without a trace, Luo Jin’s anger slightly subsided.

“Han Yu… If you hadn’t laid a hand on Luo Lan, perhaps I wouldn’t have asked for your life… But the truth is, you’ve done something you should never have… So, surrender your life… Or a massacre in the Han clan will be the price,” Luo Jin said coldly.

Knowing there was nothing he could do—especially with five elders from the Luo clan, all clearly stronger than him—Han Yu closed his eyes.

“Very well, I will—”

“Wait!” Luo Xiang interrupted Han Yu’s words.

Han Yu instantly turned his eyes toward Luo Xiang, a glimmer of hope flickering in them—perhaps he could calm Luo Jin’s fury.

“I have a battle agreement with Han Lu… If you accept it, then my grandfather won’t take your life!”

“Can your words be trusted?!” Han Yu was visibly shocked by Luo Xiang’s request.

Meanwhile, the five elders from the Luo clan, who had just arrived, were astonished by their young master’s cultivation. The presence of cultivation meant Luo Xiang’s dantian had been restored.

This puzzled them deeply. With the Luo clan’s resources, they couldn’t possibly afford a pill strong enough to heal a shattered dantian. So the question loomed: how had their young master recovered? This mystery weighed heavily on the minds of the five elders who knew Luo Xiang well.

“Of course they can… Right, Grandpa?”

Luo Jin gave a reluctant nod, his anger slightly quelled despite his son’s injury. In the end, he had no choice but to agree to his grandson’s request.

“Don’t worry, Grandpa… This matter started because of me, and I will end it with my own hands… Besides, I owe Han Lu something for what Han Yu did to me,” Luo Xiang spoke telepathically to his grandfather.

Luo Jin nodded again, reassured by Luo Xiang’s words. Han Yu, eager to preserve his life, quickly summoned Han Lu.

Fifteen minutes later.

Han Lu finally arrived at the Han clan’s martial training grounds. Unaware of the clan’s dire situation, he smiled gleefully upon seeing Luo Xiang.

“Are you here to get crippled again?” Han Lu mocked.

Instantly, Han Yu’s face turned pale at his son’s provocation.

“Damn brat…”

“Enough… Let’s begin. But I have one condition for this duel…”

“What is it?” Han Yu asked eagerly.

“The rule is… the winner lives, and the loser dies.”

This life-or-death wager drew a serious reaction from Luo Lan.

“Son, isn’t that too much?”

Luo Jin immediately used telepathy to explain the events Luo Xiang had gone through. After hearing this, Luo Lan finally trusted her son's resolve.

“Very well, I accept!”

Swuuush!

Luo Xiang stepped into the battle arena. Han Lu shot him a disdainful look.

“Come on, then!” Han Lu challenged.

A slight smile formed at the corner of Luo Xiang’s lips. Seeing Han Lu’s overconfidence, Luo Xiang quickly lunged forward, sword in hand. Han Lu’s eyes widened in shock at Luo Xiang’s speed.

Tiiiing!

Blocking the sword strike, Han Lu felt a numbing sensation surge through his entire body.

“Damn… I underestimated him…”

Swuuung!

Releasing his five-star Dao Core cultivation aura, Han Lu began counterattacking. But Luo Xiang easily read most of his moves, forcing them both to back off and create distance.

“Since when could trash like you fight evenly with me?!”

Without replying, Luo Xiang spun around and slashed toward Han Lu.

“Heaven-Splitting Slash!”

“Annihilation Blade!” Han Lu shouted in return.

Swuuuuush! Swuuush!

Two sword energies made of pure Qi clashed in midair. In mere seconds, an explosion burst forth with shockwaves radiating across the arena.

Booooms!

Dust clouded the field. As it cleared, Han Lu was seen coughing up blood, while Luo Xiang stood unmoved—clearly, he had the upper hand.

“…”

Everyone was stunned by the outcome of their technique exchange. Even Luo Lan couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Not only was her son’s dantian restored, but he could now fight on equal ground with an opponent five levels higher.

“Incredible!”

“If that incident hadn’t happened… I believe our young master could’ve competed with the greatest geniuses of the Empire…” said the Luo clan elders in awe.

Meanwhile, Han Yu clenched his jaw. With his current strength, there was nothing he could do to help his son.

“A-Am I really going to lose you…”

“I refuse to believe I could lose to you! Did you cheat?!” Han Lu denied the results of their first exchange.

“Those words suit you more… like a frog trapped in a well,” Luo Xiang sneered.

Han Lu’s face turned beet red with fury. In an outburst of rage, he charged again with another technique.

“Death Sword Steps!”

A thin smirk appeared again on Luo Xiang’s lips. With a contemptuous gaze, he began moving his sword.

“Phoenix Sword Dance!”

Swuuuush! Tiiing! Tiiiing!

The sound of clashing weapons echoed through the arena. From the beginning, it was clear—Luo Xiang’s attacks had the advantage in every way.

Like a phoenix gracefully dancing, Luo Xiang, who could have killed Han Lu with a single strike, instead toyed with him.

“Xianger is becoming more and more mysterious…” Luo Jin muttered.

“Did you teach him that sword style?”

Luo Jin shook his head, and the two elders exchanged glances. Neither had any idea where Luo Xiang learned such a refined sword technique.

“Then who taught him? Even a genius wouldn’t be able to wield a sword with such mastery so soon!” Luo Jin realized.

“Enough… We’ll ask him after this.”

Ten exchanges passed, and Han Lu finally understood. His seventeen years of training meant nothing in front of Luo Xiang, who had trained for just one month.

Finally bored of playing with Han Lu, Luo Xiang added a feint into his Phoenix Dance.

Slaaaash! Slaaaash!

The feint worked. Both of Han Lu’s arms were severed.

“Arghhh!” Han Lu screamed in agony as a pain he had never felt before wracked his body.

“The final move!”

Slaaaash!

After severing his arms, Luo Xiang sliced cleanly through Han Lu’s neck—killing him instantly.

Bai asked, unfazed by the group that was about to stop right above them in the sky."Yeah... but I don't care either," Luo Xiang replied, glancing at Hong Yi who was trying to suppress the poisonous aura from her body."I expected this… You’re actually quite a genius to grasp what’s usually difficult for ordinary cultivators.”He looked at her proudly—until suddenly, his gaze was drawn upward after hearing a sharp screech from a silver-winged eagle above.“Fools who seek death never seem to run out...” Luo Xiang muttered.Swuuuush!
