6. Garvin Group Board of Directors

The bar manager looked at Felix sharply, trying to intimidate him. Felix noticed this and immediately realized that the manager must be on Vector's side, which made his situation even more disadvantageous.

"Hey, is it true what my head of security said?" the bar manager asked.

Felix chose to remain silent, knowing that whatever he said would not change the situation.

"Hahaha, this loser must be pretty desperate right now," Vector said as he watched.

Felix's silence made Vector feel even more victorious. This created an urge in Vector to make Felix realize the difference between them.

"Loser, are you sorry now? If so, kneel down. Maybe I can forgive you if you do that." Vector had a dismissive smile on his face.

Felix just stared at Vector wordlessly. Kneeling before someone who had hurt his friends, he would never do that, even in his mind.

"Mr. Vector, do you want us to force him to kneel to your will?" the bar manager asked.

Vector nodded. "Do that."

The bar manager immediately told his head of bar security to do just that, which the head of security agreed to do on the spot.

Felix, who was forced to kneel, immediately put up a fight. However, he couldn't do much because the head of security was assisted by two of his subordinates, who made Felix lose power.

In the midst of all this, Felix, who was still trying to rebel, accidentally dropped something from his pants pocket. It was a business card, which the bar manager immediately picked up.

"Garvin Group Board of Directors, Felix Garvin?" muttered the bar manager, reading the contents of the business card.

The bar manager was initially confused before realizing that there seemed to be something wrong with Felix.

The bar manager's originally arrogant expression now turned pale as he occasionally stole glances at Felix.

The Garvin Group is the largest business empire in the city of Aberfoth, which is why the bar manager could immediately recognize the origin of the business card.

Not only that, the people of the Garvin Group, especially those who were direct descendants of the Garvin family, were known to have undeniable influence in the city of Aberforth, making anyone who dared to stir up trouble or dared to foolishly offend them mostly doomed to suffer.

"He ... isn't one of them, is he?" muttered the bar manager as he gulped.

Felix thought it was strange to see the bar manager's expression change so suddenly. Until Felix realized his business card was in the manager's hand, he immediately understood the reason for the change in expression.

Three years ago, when Felix was named heir apparent by his grandfather, he was immediately given a board position at the family-owned company.

Although in the end it all seemed meaningless as Felix was forced to leave home, who would have thought that now his position at the Garvin Group would have a use as well?

"You guys, stop and let him go!" the bar manager shouted at the head of security and his two subordinates.

"What's wrong, Mr. Manager?" asked the head of security, sensing something strange.

"Don't ask too many questions and just do it!" snapped the bar manager.

The head of security and his two subordinates immediately released Felix as directed by their manager, which made Vector question the bar manager's sudden decision.

"Manager, what's wrong? You said you wanted to make that loser kneel before me; why did you tell them to stop?" asked Vector.

The bar manager glanced at Vector for a moment before glancing at Felix afterward. Vector might be a VIP customer at the bar, but Felix was a person who should not be offended even by the bar owner.

"Why are you suddenly silent, manager? Tell me why you're doing this." Vector seemed dissatisfied with the bar manager's decision.

"Shut up! You guys, make him kneel down to apologize to Mr. Felix!" exclaimed the bar manager, ordering his subordinates to make Vector kneel before Felix.

"What the hell? Why would you want me to do that? Kneel before this loser? Are you crazy or what, manager?" Vector couldn't believe it; he couldn't understand why the bar manager would suddenly side with Felix and turn on him.

"You're the crazy one; do you even know who he is?" The bar manager was furious; he dared not imagine what would happen to him if he continued to obey Vector and make Felix hold a grudge against him.

"He's just a loser; why do you still ask?"

"Loser? Nonsense, how dare you call Mr. Felix  that?"After his outburst, the bar manager signaled his subordinates to force Vector to kneel before Felix right then and there.

What had happened to Felix now happened to Vector. The head of security and two of his subordinates finally managed to make Vector kneel in front of Felix, albeit with great difficulty.

"Felix Garvin, is that really your name, sir?" The bar manager approached Felix with a friendly smile, his voice now soft in contrast to before.

"That's right, I'm Felix. Is something wrong?" Felix's tone sounded indifferent.

Felix was not unaware of what was happening; if he was honest, he was even amazed by the bar manager, who could quickly make a decision after knowing his identity. However, that still didn't change the fact that the bar manager and his subordinates had looked down on him.

"Here's your business card that you dropped earlier, Mr. Felix," said the bar manager as he carefully handed Felix his business card back.

"You can keep it, so as not to carelessly cross the line like before." Felix was not happy.

The bar manager swallowed, his head aching at the thought of Felix, who seemed to still hold a grudge against him.

"Manager, hurry up and get your underlings to let me go! Do you even know who I am? I'm close with Reynard Filbert; he'll be furious if he finds out I'm being treated like this by you bastards!" exclaimed Vector.

The bar manager, who was worried that Felix might be holding a grudge, heard this and immediately gave Vector a sharp look. He felt that none of this would have happened if it wasn't for Vector, so Vector was to blame for it all.

As for Vector's threat, the bar manager wasn't bothered by it at all. The Filbert family may be quite feared there, but it couldn't compare to the Garvin family that Felix belonged to.

"You guys, shut him up and force him to apologize to Mr. Felix!" the bar manager exclaimed, hoping that it would quell Felix's anger just a little.

"You already forced me to my knees, and now you want me to apologize to a loser? Not even in your dreams!" exclaimed Vector.

Vector was initially adamant about his decision because his pride could be hurt if he did what the manager asked. Until the bar manager suddenly whispered something to him, a look of disbelief appeared on Vector's face at that very moment.

"He ... is from that family? How can that be? This doesn't make sense."

Vector was at a loss for words—completely at a loss for what to do.

Felix, who was watching all of this, just stood silently in front of Vector, who was now kneeling.

Felix seemed to be waiting for something that Vector would definitely do, because Felix knew that Vector had most likely received information about him from the bar manager.

"Forgive me, Felix. My foolishness in daring to hurt your friends," Vector said, his tone sounding weak.

Felix didn't respond for a while. Vector's words made him think of the condition of his friends and that the man in front of him was the culprit that caused his friends to get hurt.

Buaghhh!!!

Felix hit Vector as hard as he could, which Vector could only take without daring to retaliate, let alone fight back.

"Don't you ever dare do that again, understand?" Felix asked.

Vector nodded quickly. If Felix was really from the Garvin family, according to what the bar manager had told him, not even the Filbert family would be able to protect him.

"Good then," Felix said as he walked out of there.
