But there was something missing in all those pictures.
The heir of the Wilton Family was clearly missing in every photo. It was as if he'd never existed to begin with. If not for the fact that the family often made announcements or spoke in conferences concerning their heir, the clerk would've believed that he didn't exist. As if his identity had been erased or kept a secret from the outside world. Surely, there had to be a reason why the identity of such a wealthy and powerful heir was kept secret. Maybe he was comatose, or suffering from some severe illness, or maybe because he was very ugly and hated being in family photos or something. It's not like she cared. At a moment there, this guest had reminded her of the Wilton Family. He had the same name and surname as their heir. It could all be a coincidence, Nolan was a very common name, after all. ‘I can't believe I thought that he could be the Wilton heir. What would the Wilton Family's heir be doing in a place like this one, even though they owned the hotel. They own other high-end hotels that are far better than this one.’ She sighed. Handing the young attractive man back his ID, she suddenly asked: “How do you wish to make your payment, sir?” “Oh, I brought my credit card with me.” Nolan responded unhurriedly. Nolan provided a normal credit card to the clerk. She immediately charged his credit card with the necessary payment and all other potential incidentals. Nolan inserted his code and the payment was done. He'd successfully booked a hotel room to stay for a while, while he cleared his head and figured out the next course of action. Normally, he would have just left to his family's manor, but he'd been gone for five years, he needed to adjust first before returning to the life he'd left behind. Nolan wasn't even sure if he wanted to return. His life had been in this place. He had some friends here, even though not everyone liked him. Nolan considered starting a life here. At least the ten billion dollars Greg had given him would help him settle down perfectly. He could buy a luxurious house, an expensive car, and buy shares, invest, or start up his own company. He had all the money. It was just in a matter of time and he'd have everything he wanted. For now he wanted to eat the best meals and maybe tomorrow, he would buy some clothes to change the faded and worn out ones he currently had. “Here's your room card.” The beautiful clerk said as she handed over a room card to Nolan. Nolan received it with a slight smile. Now that he looked at her closely, the clerk looked very beautiful. Nolan didn't know whether it was because Megan had denied him sex for all those years, now that he was free from the vows of their marriage, his alpha male instincts were beginning to kick in. With great efforts, he resisted the urge to ask her for her number. Nolan's stomach suddenly made a grumbling noise. The clerk was taken aback. Nolan felt embarrassed. He stared at her with an awkward smile. “I would also like to eat something in your restaurant section.” “Okay.” The clerk smiled back in return. The payment for a table in the hotel's restaurant was finalized and Nolan found himself sitting in table number 237 and staring at the menu. After which, he signalled for the waiter and made his orders. “Sir, are you sure you want all of this?” Nolan had picked the most expensive meals in their menu which greatly shocked the waiter. “These are our most expensive dishes which are worth at least thousands of dollars each.” The waiter reminded Nolan in a whisper. Nolan nodded in acknowledgement. “Bring them all out.” The waiter paused for a while. “Okay sir.” Sensing the confidence in Nolan's voice, the waiter responded in agreement. The waiter had been scared when he saw what Nolan had picked on the menu. He knew that he didn't have the right to refuse a customer's request. But upon scrutinizing Nolan, he couldn't help but sigh in frustration. How can someone dressed like this be able to afford all those expensive dishes? He didn't want to be blamed if anything went wrong by his superiors, although he knew that he would make a very high commission worth almost his salary in a month or two if Nolan bought this much and was able to successfully pay for the meals. So he calmed down. At least he wasn't the one that was going to suffer if he was unable to pay for the meal he ate. Nolan was. Soon, Nolan's table was filled with twenty different varieties of the hotel's most expensive dishes, greatly shocking all the guests present in the hotel. There was murmuring and chattering every here and there inside the hotel's restaurant section for normal wealthy guests. “What the actual… hell is going on here? Did he order all those dishes all by himself?” “Is that not a Grand Velas Taco worth twenty-five thousand dollars?” “Oh my gosh, he has to be a big shot, right? To be able to order all those exquisite meals, he must come from a wealthy family? Perhaps he is a wealthy tycoon?” “Diamond of the caviar world? Wagyu beef? White Alba truffles? This guy is a beast among the rich society. What is such a wealthy person doing in this section of the hotel? He should be in the VIP section?” “Twenty luxurious dishes? Even the VIP guests cannot match his riches.” …. Then there were those who judged him by his look and appearance. “Ordering twenty most expensive dishes and dressed like that? Hehe, this guy is a scam. The hotel security officers better keep an eye on him so that he doesn't escape after eating so much.” “Yes, just look at his clothes and shoes. They are faded and worn out, ridden with holes. This guy is clearly not who he claims to be.” “Perhaps he is a low-key second generation rich kid?” “Might be possible, but I clearly doubt it. Even though he is low-key, isn't he a little bit too much? He looks like he dines and sleeps with rats in the same old and shabby apartment. A normal second generation rich kid will not go this far just to keep a low profile.” “That's true. He has to be a fake.” Nolan simply ignored them and stared at the piles of food on his table. He didn't know where to start. It had been ages since he last saw so much food in one place. Even when he visited his wife's family house to celebrate her mother's birthday, he was made to do the dishes and clean the house while others celebrated and enjoyed the meals served. At last, he was left with the leftovers. But today was different. These exquisite and expensive meals belonged to him and he could eat to his full however he desired. Nolan grabbed his knife and fork. He sliced a huge chunk of juicy steak and shoved it into his mouth. He was immediately overwhelmed by the spicy and juicy flavor of the perfectly prepared steak. He chewed and swallowed, filled with joy. His eyes watery. This felt like heaven. Nolan immediately dug into the meal, devouring every last bit of food in the plates and leaving the plates spotless. Every dish he unrivaled, with its unique and peculiar tastes left him happy and filled with joy. At the end, the twenty dishes were completely devoured. Nolan robbed his stomach in satisfaction, when he lifted his head, he was greeted by the shocked faces of the guests all around him. Nolan was left feeling embarrassed again. … “Omg! Did he just gobble up all that food? Crazy? This guy is crazy?” “Can somebody even be that hungry? How did he eat all that food in just a few hours? I must be seeing things.” “Is a human being capable of eating so much food in just a short amount of time? He ate plenty of meals all by himself. Is he even human? He must not be a human being, maybe he's an alien.” “Is this guy's stomach a black hole? Cause I don't seem to understand where all those foods disappeared to?” “I told you that man is a beast. At this point he shouldn't be regarded as a human being anymore.” “I agree!” … Everyone gasped in shock as they watched Nolan eat. After he finished eating all those twenty dishes, they couldn't help but comment on how incredible it was for him to finish so much food. During this entire incident, one man was deeply dazed. He wasn't from this section of the hotel's restaurant, he had climbed down the stairs that was when he suddenly noticed the commotion between the guests downstairs, so he decided to check it out. To find out what was going on. To his surprise he found out from the mouths of the guests downstairs that a man had ordered twenty of the most expensive dishes in the hotel's restaurant section. This had left him deeply shocked, knowing full well that even those upstairs where he came from could not afford to order ten most expensive dishes with a straight face. They usually mixed their order up, ordering four to five most expensive dishes and a few less expensive dishes. But this young man here had greatly surprised him. He believed that Nolan wasn't ordinary even though he was dressed so poorly with faded clothes and worn out shoes. He believed that Nolan was a second generation rich kid from a very rich family with more influence than his and with a net worth in the tens of billions of dollars, or Nolan had to be a very wealthy tycoon with hundreds of millions of dollars of assets and could afford to spend so lavishly as he pleases. He couldn't be so far from the truth. Nolan was both—an heir to a wealthy family and a powerful tycoon. Even without his family's overwhelming wealth and power, Nolan was very rich himself. If Nolan knew what this middle aged man was pondering about he would've choked in his wine. *** A few minutes earlier. Upstairs in a luxurious private dining room booked by a VIP guest of the hotel. The dining room was very spacious with premium furnishing, excellent waiter service and a special high-end chef preparing their meals. Two middle-aged men dressed in black expensive suits sat opposite each other and elegantly used their knives to cut steak, forked it, and then pushed it into their mouths. The man on the right was potbellied, with a fat face and awkward mustache. While, the other man on the left side had a slender build, with a few grey strands dominating his black hair. Behind the potbellied man stood two huge men dressed in black suits as well, obviously his bodyguards. “President Bill, I really need your help to help save my company. If not we would go bankrupt and I will have no choice but to sell the shares and step down from the company. I am indeed in need of your help, friend.” The slender man, the man on the left hand side said as he suddenly dropped his utensils. He lost his appetite. “Hmm, I understand the severity of what you're telling me, but I don't have any money with me at the moment. Have you forgotten that the Greenland real estate wanted to sell a huge amount of their shares last month. And I had to sell my mansion and car in order to purchase some of those shares. Right now I am without a single penny.” The potbellied man, President Bill, said as he forked a steak, shoved it into his mouth and chewed it with joy. The juice from the steak escaped through the corner of his mouth and dipped down his lips. He picked up a napkin and wiped it out, gently, with excellent precision. The slender middle-aged man could only sigh, disheartened. He fixed his eyes on the plate of exquisite meal before him. If it were any other time, he would've emptied the plates by now. That was how excellent the chefs here were. The one preparing their meal today was specially skilled and excellent. But he wasn't hungry. Not when the future of his company depended on this very conversation.

The slender middle-aged man had met with his other friends from high society who were also wealthy businessmen like himself, but they were all giving him excuses. He clearly understood their worry. But, even that hope seemed gone now.“I am truly sorry Chairman Warren, I wish I could be of help to you at your desperate time, but I am dry at the moment.” President Bill continued, “If only you had informed me about your predicament a bit sooner, then maybe I wouldn't have spent so much money purchasing the Greenland shares.”“It's alright. "Boss, it is good to finally see you," A middle-aged man said addressing a young man in his late Twenties. The middle-aged man was donning a black expensive suit and exquisite leather shoes, while the young man wore casual wear—faded clothes and a pair of worn out shoes. "Good to see you too, Greg." The young man, Nolan said nonchalantly. "Did you acquire what I asked for?" Nolan suddenly asked. "Yes boss.” Greg nodded immediately. “This is a limited edition diamond necklace worth $300,000 in auction house," Greg said as he handed over a small black box containing the item, to Nolan. Nolan received the box, and opened the packaging only to be drowned by the soft gleaming gems of an intricate, elegant, and finely made diamond necklace. The diamond necklace was one out of 50 in the globe. Crafted by fine craftsmanship, the beautiful diamond necklace spoke of high class and wealth. "Very good. She will definitely like it." Nolan acknowledged. He gave the diamond necklace
