Chapter 14

A call from Dinah woke Rosalie early in the morning.

"Rosalie, where are you?" Dinah asked.

"At home, but why do you ask?"

"It's your father. He wants to commit suicide."

"What? Is he at home?" Rosalie said as she jumped off the bed.

"Yes, please come quickly."

Dallas drove Rosalie to Number 10, Cambria Heights, NY. They met Jake and Susan dragging a long rope with their father.

"Daddy, give them the rope. Why did you want to kill yourself?" Rosalie shouted.

"Leave me alone. Let me go to where I came from. Let me die," Michael yearned.

"No way, we won't allow you to die until you pay every loan you borrow," Dinah said

Rosalie was confused. She looks at Dallas and said, "please collect the rope first."

When Michael saw that Dallas had collected the rope from his hand, he sat on the floor and covered his face with his both palms.

Jake and Susan laid on the bed, feeling tired. They had been struggling to collect the rope from their father since midnight.

Michael wants to commit suicide b
