Adrian slowly opens his eyes.
For several seconds, he doesn't know where he is, as darkness surrounds him, and the only thing he can hear is his own weak breathing. His body feels heavy, almost as if every bone has been drained of strength, and when he tries to move, a sharp pain tears through his stomach. His hand immediately goes to the wound. The dagger is still there. Adrian's fingers close around the handle, but he stops himself when another wave of pain spreads through his body. He grits his teeth and looks down, his vision still blurry. “I should be dead by now,” he whispers. His voice sounds weak even to himself. He looks around the dark cave and notices the massive goblin several metres away. The creature is lying against the wall. Adrian swallows. “Why am I still alive?” His eyes move back toward the goblin, and despite everything that has happened, a strange thought crosses his mind. “Did the goblin find my meat not delicious?” He almost laughs at his own thoughts, but the pain in his stomach quickly kills the attempt. Adrian slowly pushes himself up. His arms shake as he forces his body into a sitting position. Sweat immediately covers his forehead, and his breathing becomes heavier as the dagger shifts slightly inside his stomach. “Ah…” He clamps a hand over his mouth. The pain is unbearable. Adrian closes his eyes and waits for it to settle before looking down again. Something is wrong. He isn't bleeding anymore. His clothes are still stained with blood, but there is no fresh blood coming from the wound. Even more strangely, the pain seems to be slowly becoming weaker. Adrian places his hand against his stomach. His brows tighten. “My body is healing?” He doesn't understand it. His Healing ability has always required mana. He should be exhausted after everything that happened, yet his body is somehow recovering on its own. Then he notices something. A faint yellow light is coming from the side of the cave. Adrian slowly turns his head. A yellow crystal is lying beside the goblin's wife. The female goblin is lying against the cave wall, her eyes closed as she sleeps. Her stomach is noticeably larger, and Adrian can see that she is pregnant. The yellow crystal rests beside her body, releasing a soft glow that covers her. Adrian stares at it. Then he looks back at his own wound. His eyes widened. “So it's not me.” He manages to pull the dagger out and slowly reaches toward the crystal but stops halfway. The thought of touching something belonging to an SS-Rank monster makes his fingers hesitate. Still, he needs to understand what is happening. Adrian looks at the female goblin again. Something about her condition reminds him of something he once read. His mind returns to the academy library. The monster books. The different species. Their evolution. The strange goblin that could evolve by consuming its own kind. Adrian's eyes slowly widen as the pieces connect. “There was something else…” He remembers the records. This particular type of goblin can evolve, but it isn't simply another stronger goblin. They can also bear children, and those children inherit the same special power. Adrian's gaze falls on the female goblin's stomach. “But other goblins eat them.” He looks around the cave. All those dead goblins. The missing hands. The torn heads. The bodies that had been devoured. Adrian finally understands. “They were hunting them.” The SS-Rank Goblin didn't slaughter those goblins for power alone. He was protecting his family. If the other goblins kept coming for his wife and children, he had no choice but to kill them all. Adrian's eyes settle on the sleeping female goblin again. “And that crystal…” He looks at the yellow crystal beside her. “It must be keeping her alive.” The crystal's light continues to shine against her body. Adrian hesitates for another moment before slowly reaching toward it. His fingertips touch the crystal. A jolt suddenly shoots through his body. “Ah!” Adrian's back arches. A strange current races from his fingertips through his arm, then spreads across his chest, his neck, and finally into his head. His entire body shakes as the sensation disappears as quickly as it came. Adrian gasps and grabs his head. “What was that?” He remains frozen for several seconds before slowly looking at the crystal. The yellow glow is gone. The crystal has changed. What was once a bright, glowing crystal now looks like an ordinary piece of rock. Adrian stares at it in disbelief. “What happened to it?” Before he can think any further, the female goblin suddenly coughs. “Cough!” Adrian's head snaps toward her. His heart jumps. The female goblin shifts slightly in her sleep. Adrian immediately panics. He doesn't know what to do. He looks at the crystal, then back at her. “Wait…” He quickly checks his stomach. The wound is gone. The dagger is still lying beside him, covered in blood, but there is no longer a wound beneath it. His eyes widen. His body has completely healed. Adrian slowly touches his stomach. Nothing. Not even a scar. “What…” A sudden sharp pain shoots through his head. Adrian grabs his temples. His vision immediately becomes blurred. “Ah!” He squeezes his eyes shut as the pain grows stronger. For several seconds, he can't see anything. Then the pain suddenly disappears. Adrian slowly opens his eyes. Something is different. He blinks. The darkness around him is no longer completely dark. He can see. Not just the shapes around him. Everything. His gaze immediately falls on the female goblin. His eyes widen. He can see through her body. Her bones. Her organs. And then he sees something that makes him freeze. Three tiny forms are developing inside her. “She's pregnant with three…” Adrian's mouth falls open. He looks away and blinks several times, but the image remains. Three children. Not one. Three. His breathing slows as he tries to understand what has happened to his eyes. He looks toward the cave wall. The blue crystals embedded inside it suddenly become clearer. He can see beyond the stone’s outer surface and into the crystals themselves. Some are pure and valuable while some are ordinary stones. He looks down at the ground and sees a bunch of rocks that look almost the same, but his eyes immediately tell him which are just plain rocks, and which have something of value. Adrian slowly raises a trembling hand toward his face. “What is happening to my eyes?” His vision is sharper than before. He can hear things he shouldn't be able to hear. A faint sound reaches his ears from somewhere beyond the chamber. Footsteps. Adrian freezes. He turns toward the entrance. The footsteps are getting closer. One. Then another. Slow and heavy. Adrian's heart begins pounding. The SS-Rank Goblin is coming back. He looks toward the passage and then at the female goblin. He can hear the footsteps becoming louder. Closer. The goblin is almost here. Adrian's eyes move around the cave. For the first time since he was brought here, he doesn't feel completely helpless. His new eyes continue scanning everything around him. The rocks. The crystals. The walls. The ground. Everything seems different now. He can tell which things are real and which are not. He can see through surfaces that should have been impossible to see through, and when his gaze falls on certain objects, he can somehow tell their value. Adrian's breathing slows. An idea begins forming in his mind. His eyes shift toward the surroundings again. Then toward the approaching footsteps. Then back toward the female goblin and the empty crystal beside her. The footsteps are getting closer. Adrian knows he doesn't have much time. He quickly gets to his feet. He looks toward the entrance one last time. The SS-Rank Goblin is almost here. Adrian's golden eyes narrow. He has an idea. And before the goblin can enter the chamber, Adrian moves.Latest Chapter
Adrian's Terrible Luck
Adrian remained where he was for half a second, watching her retreating figure.Follow you? Where? Why?He glanced toward Darius, remembering the threat from moments earlier. The S-Rank awakened was still standing beside the table, his expression unusually stiff, while Marcus had stopped smiling altogether. For some reason, their reactions worried Adrian more than Darius's earlier threat. Before he could think further, his body moved. He followed Sandra. He hadn't even consciously decided to do it. His feet simply carried him forward, and by the time he realised what was happening, he was already walking toward the cafeteria doors behind her. What am I doing?Sandra's presence seemed to weigh on his mind, making it difficult to resist the simple command she had given him. Adrian hurried after her, his heart beating faster than usual as he crossed the cafeteria. The moment they passed through the doors, the whispers erupted again."Did you see that? Sandra came looking for Adrian!""Wh
An Unexpected Visitor
One..Marcus leaned back in his chair, his smirk growing as he raised a finger toward Adrian, he was clearly enjoying the situation, and the fact that Adrian hadn't backed down made it even more entertaining for him."Two..."The students gathered around the table began whispering again, some leaning toward their friends while others openly watched the confrontation. "Has Adrian gone mad? He's actually challenging an S-Rank combatant in public!" one student whispered, shaking his head. Another folded his arms and scoffed. "Maybe surviving that dungeon made him think he's invincible. He should be grateful he escaped with his life instead of looking for trouble."But what if he found something in the dungeon? a student sitting nearby interrupted. "I've heard that an SSS-Rank Dragon Gem can help an awakened evolve their power. If Adrian found one, maybe his rank has changed."His friend immediately shook his head. "That's impossible. This was supposed to be an A-Rank dungeon. SSS-Rank Dr

Adrian quickly shook his head. "No, no. I'm only shy around pretty girls."Stephanie blinked. Then she smiled."That's sweet." Her smile remained on her face, but her eyes did not soften. "But I don't buy that."Adrian swallowed."Someone as handsome as you should find it easy to flirt with girls," she continued. "So tell me, why are you suddenly frightened by my presence?"Adrian forced himself to smile."Maybe I'm just nervous."Stephanie stepped closer."Tell me the truth," she said softly, "or I'll break your bones beyond healing."Adrian's smile nearly disappeared. That's exactly why I'm scared. His enhanced eyes had already shown him everything he needed to know.SSS-Rank.The energy flowing through Stephanie's body was nothing like that of an ordinary nurse. It was powerful enough that Adrian could barely believe what he was seeing. His eyes allowed him to identify her rank and the power moving through her body, and the result left him stunned. She was an SSS-Rank awakened. The
Mysterious Nurse
The academy hospital was much quieter than Adrian expected. The moment the doctor finished checking the wounds, he ordered several scans, blood tests, and other examinations before Adrian was allowed to leave. Adrian sat on the edge of the examination bed while a machine passed over his body, its soft mechanical hum filling the room as images appeared on the screen beside the doctor. After several minutes, another nurse came in to take a blood sample, and then the doctor checked the results before looking at Adrian again."Why all these scans and tests?" Adrian finally asked, glancing at the equipment around him. "You already checked my wound, and it's completely healed."The doctor adjusted his glasses and looked at the scan in his hand. "Nothing important. We're just making sure you're still human and haven't mutated."Adrian raised an eyebrow."Mutated?""You've heard about it before, haven't you?" The doctor asked.Adrian nodded slowly. He had heard the rumors. Whenever a party en

But when he reached it, he found out the passage was blocked. He remembers what had happened, and his expression changed. Darius and the others had sealed this path when they escaped, and he had no way to reach the exit from here."Surely there must be another way," he said to himself. Adrian’s golden eyes scanned the walls for an opening. Then he remembered the big hole he saw at this angle while the SS-Rank Goblin had dragged him through the secret passageway. His eyes traced the path the creature had taken, and he recalled how it had climbed upward before reaching the chamber when it first appeared. He looked toward the wall and finally spotted something unusual. A section looking like a solid wall was in fact a fake wall hiding in the surrounding rock. Adrian ran up to it and pushed it. The hidden section slid back, revealing a narrow passage going upwards. He didn't waste another second and started to climb, grabbing the rocks with both hands and pulling himself up.Another ma
The Awakening of the God Eyes
Adrian eyes quickly scanned the cave. His vision had changed, and the darkness no longer concealed anything from him. Blue crystals embedded in the walls illuminated the chamber, revealing bones scattered across the ground alongside broken weapons, ruined armour, communication devices, and other belongings that had clearly belonged to students who had entered the dungeon but never returned.Adrian scurried over to the remnants and started gathering what he could use. He collected bits of metal, broken boards, straps, anything that looked strong enough to hold together, trusting his new eyes to tell him what was useful and what was worthless junk. In a few minutes he had made a rough carriage that would aid him for his goal. It was ugly, but it didn't need to be pretty either.Adrian turned toward the pregnant goblin. "Come on." He moved beside her and carefully tried to lift her, but she didn't respond. After examining her face and checking her body again, he confirmed that she was st
