Adrian eyes quickly scanned the cave. His vision had changed, and the darkness no longer concealed anything from him. Blue crystals embedded in the walls illuminated the chamber, revealing bones scattered across the ground alongside broken weapons, ruined armour, communication devices, and other belongings that had clearly belonged to students who had entered the dungeon but never returned.
Adrian scurried over to the remnants and started gathering what he could use. He collected bits of metal, broken boards, straps, anything that looked strong enough to hold together, trusting his new eyes to tell him what was useful and what was worthless junk. In a few minutes he had made a rough carriage that would aid him for his goal. It was ugly, but it didn't need to be pretty either. Adrian turned toward the pregnant goblin. "Come on." He moved beside her and carefully tried to lift her, but she didn't respond. After examining her face and checking her body again, he confirmed that she was still breathing, although barely. His gaze then shifted to the ordinary-looking rock lying beside her, and he quickly understood what had happened. "The crystal was keeping her alive." He had used its energy to heal himself, leaving behind nothing more than a useless stone. Adrian clenched his jaw as he stared at the unconscious goblin, knowing that without the crystal, her condition had become critical. "I don't have a choice." He carefully lifted her onto the carriage and adjusted her position to keep her from falling, while his new eyes confirmed that she was still alive but unlikely to wake up anytime soon. Just then, Adrian heard something from the entrance. His head turned toward the sound as heavy footsteps echoed through the cave. The SS-Rank Goblin was coming back, and Adrian's breathing slowly settled as he looked down at the dagger lying beside him, the same weapon Lena had used to stab him. He closed his fingers around the handle and waited. The footsteps stopped, and the goblin appeared at the entrance. Its eyes immediately found Adrian before shifting toward its wife, and the moment it saw her lying unconscious on the carriage, its expression changed. Its eyes widened, then narrowed with rage as a furious roar shook the cave. The goblin charged toward him, but Adrian reacted instantly. He grabbed the dagger and pressed its blade against the pregnant goblin's neck. "Ah, ah." The creature stopped so abruptly that its feet scraped against the stone floor, its gaze fixed on the weapon at its wife's throat. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." The goblin's fists tightened as it glared at Adrian, its chest rising and falling heavily. Adrian kept the dagger firmly in place and stared back without moving. "If you try to breathe louder or even blink more than twice, I'll slit her throat." Although his hands remained steady, his heart pounded so hard that he could feel it against his ribs. He refused to let the creature see how frightened he really was. The goblin suddenly turned and punched the cave wall. BOOM! Stone exploded from the impact, and Adrian flinched, but he didn't move the dagger. The creature struck another section of the wall, scattering rocks across the floor, then turned toward a pile of bones and kicked them aside, sending them crashing against the opposite wall. Its rage was clear, but Adrian couldn't afford to let himself be distracted. "No, no, no." His voice remained calm as his eyes sharpened. "Leave the entrance." The goblin turned back toward him, its breathing growing heavier. "I'll go, but I'm taking her with me," Adrian continued, gesturing toward the carriage with his head. "If you try anything funny, she's gone." The creature clearly wanted to attack, and Adrian knew it was looking for an opening. However, it also understood that he wasn't bluffing, especially with the dagger still pressed against its wife's neck. For several seconds, neither of them moved. Then the goblin slowly stepped away from the entrance, allowing Adrian a path forward. "Good." Adrian grabbed the carriage and began pulling it toward the passage, the wheels scraping against the stone floor as he moved. The goblin followed several metres behind, its eyes never leaving the dagger. Adrian didn't turn around because he didn't need to. His new senses told him exactly where the goblin was, and he could tell that the creature was waiting for him to make a mistake. It was clearly believed he didn't know how to open the secret entrance, but when Adrian reached the wall, his golden eyes began scanning the stone until he noticed a small rock that looked no different from the others. To his new eyes, however, it stood out. Adrian smiled. "So that's it." He reached out and pushed the rock, triggering a clicking sound from inside the wall. The stone shifted, and the hidden entrance slowly opened. A low growl came from behind him as the goblin realised Adrian had discovered the mechanism, its rage growing even stronger. Adrian paid it no attention and pulled the carriage through the opening, heading toward the blue-lit chamber beyond. The crystal-covered chamber came into view, bringing back the memory of the place where his team had abandoned him. It was also where Lena had stabbed him and left him to die. For a brief moment, Adrian stopped as his eyes fell on the bloodstained floor, his hand tightening around the carriage. Then he looked ahead, kicked the carriage, and sent it sliding down the slope. The carriage immediately picked up speed. The goblin reacted at once, lunging forward to catch its wife before she could crash onto the ground. Adrian didn't wait to see what happened next. He turned around, found the outer rock that controlled the secret entrance, and pushed it to begin closing the wall. Before the mechanism could finish, Adrian pulled out the dagger and drove it into the mechanism, then tore the rock free. The mechanism broke, and the wall slammed shut. Adrian stared at it for half a second before turning and running, knowing there was now no way to open it from the other side. He sprinted as fast as his legs could carry him, but a deafening impact shook the cave behind him. BOOM! Adrian glanced over his shoulder as the wall shuddered from the blow. Another punch followed, sending cracks through the stone. His eyes widened as he realised how little time he had bought himself. "That won't hold him for long." He turned forward and pushed himself harder, racing toward the path that should lead out of the cave.Latest Chapter
Adrian's Terrible Luck
Adrian remained where he was for half a second, watching her retreating figure.Follow you? Where? Why?He glanced toward Darius, remembering the threat from moments earlier. The S-Rank awakened was still standing beside the table, his expression unusually stiff, while Marcus had stopped smiling altogether. For some reason, their reactions worried Adrian more than Darius's earlier threat. Before he could think further, his body moved. He followed Sandra. He hadn't even consciously decided to do it. His feet simply carried him forward, and by the time he realised what was happening, he was already walking toward the cafeteria doors behind her. What am I doing?Sandra's presence seemed to weigh on his mind, making it difficult to resist the simple command she had given him. Adrian hurried after her, his heart beating faster than usual as he crossed the cafeteria. The moment they passed through the doors, the whispers erupted again."Did you see that? Sandra came looking for Adrian!""Wh
An Unexpected Visitor
One..Marcus leaned back in his chair, his smirk growing as he raised a finger toward Adrian, he was clearly enjoying the situation, and the fact that Adrian hadn't backed down made it even more entertaining for him."Two..."The students gathered around the table began whispering again, some leaning toward their friends while others openly watched the confrontation. "Has Adrian gone mad? He's actually challenging an S-Rank combatant in public!" one student whispered, shaking his head. Another folded his arms and scoffed. "Maybe surviving that dungeon made him think he's invincible. He should be grateful he escaped with his life instead of looking for trouble."But what if he found something in the dungeon? a student sitting nearby interrupted. "I've heard that an SSS-Rank Dragon Gem can help an awakened evolve their power. If Adrian found one, maybe his rank has changed."His friend immediately shook his head. "That's impossible. This was supposed to be an A-Rank dungeon. SSS-Rank Dr

Adrian quickly shook his head. "No, no. I'm only shy around pretty girls."Stephanie blinked. Then she smiled."That's sweet." Her smile remained on her face, but her eyes did not soften. "But I don't buy that."Adrian swallowed."Someone as handsome as you should find it easy to flirt with girls," she continued. "So tell me, why are you suddenly frightened by my presence?"Adrian forced himself to smile."Maybe I'm just nervous."Stephanie stepped closer."Tell me the truth," she said softly, "or I'll break your bones beyond healing."Adrian's smile nearly disappeared. That's exactly why I'm scared. His enhanced eyes had already shown him everything he needed to know.SSS-Rank.The energy flowing through Stephanie's body was nothing like that of an ordinary nurse. It was powerful enough that Adrian could barely believe what he was seeing. Mysterious Nurse
The academy hospital was much quieter than Adrian expected. The moment the doctor finished checking the wounds, he ordered several scans, blood tests, and other examinations before Adrian was allowed to leave. Adrian sat on the edge of the examination bed while a machine passed over his body, its soft mechanical hum filling the room as images appeared on the screen beside the doctor. After several minutes, another nurse came in to take a blood sample, and then the doctor checked the results before looking at Adrian again."Why all these scans and tests?" Adrian finally asked, glancing at the equipment around him. "You already checked my wound, and it's completely healed."The doctor adjusted his glasses and looked at the scan in his hand. "Nothing important. We're just making sure you're still human and haven't mutated."Adrian raised an eyebrow."Mutated?""You've heard about it before, haven't you?" The doctor asked.Adrian nodded slowly. He had heard the rumors. Whenever a party en

But when he reached it, he found out the passage was blocked. He remembers what had happened, and his expression changed. Darius and the others had sealed this path when they escaped, and he had no way to reach the exit from here."Surely there must be another way," he said to himself. Adrian’s golden eyes scanned the walls for an opening. Then he remembered the big hole he saw at this angle while the SS-Rank Goblin had dragged him through the secret passageway. His eyes traced the path the creature had taken, and he recalled how it had climbed upward before reaching the chamber when it first appeared. He looked toward the wall and finally spotted something unusual. A section looking like a solid wall was in fact a fake wall hiding in the surrounding rock. Adrian ran up to it and pushed it. The hidden section slid back, revealing a narrow passage going upwards. He didn't waste another second and started to climb, grabbing the rocks with both hands and pulling himself up.Another ma
