Chapter 24

The next morning, Mark woke up feeling very exhausted. He yawned and looked around, only to see Thrain sweating profusely on the floor as he continued his push-ups.

Lost in thought, Mark wondered why Thrain was pushing himself so hard, but he was brought back to reality by Thrain's voice.

"You're awake! I hope you had a nice night using my bed?" Thrain teased.

"Yeah, good morning. Your bed was fantastic, really soft and comfy, but what happened to the fresh breeze? It felt really hot throughout the night," Mark replied.

"Well, how do you expect me to notice that? I don't feel cold or hot, just an irregular temperature compared to normal humans, so I sold both the ceiling fan and standing fan," Thrain explained.

"What about your mom?" Mark asked, feeling concerned.

"You don't have to worry about that. She doesn't come into my room, so she won't notice," Thrain reassured him.

Suddenly, Thrain felt a presence, then in an instant, it was gone.
